I think the comment that cans are better is a common one in the craft beer circles. They can always be recycled, no light gets in to alter the beer, and the seal is superior to a cap on a bottle. I think I hear you on sometimes tasting the metal, but that likely means the beer isn’t fresh... did they have a “brewed on” date? Most beer also says “keep cold” on the can, and I am always suspect about imported beers that just sit on a shelf for who knows how long.
