- Senior Advocate Khaidem Mani emphasized that he had encouraged Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to initiate a movement akin to the "Jail Bharo Movement" to restore peace. However, despite ongoing discussions among CSO leaders, they did not implement the suggested action.
He further stressed the importance of collective efforts toward an inclusive objective, specifically aimed at restoring peace. These remarks were delivered during the "Observance of 3rd May" event themed "Peace and Solidarity with the Victims of the Crisis," which was hosted by Taragi Cheishu at their office.

Govt is very very week. Why a single bullet was not fired on 3rd May, 2023 in Churachandpur on kuki areas and where was DC and SP. Why DC and SP was not suspended and no enquiry had been made so far.

A list of Manipur's Yelhoumee (aboriginal) is appended under Article 342(1) of India's Constitution. Neither Meetei nor Meitei is found there. Instead, some infiltrators from across the border who are hardly two hundred years old are included. Our Meetei professors and their ilk who opposed ST demand tooth and nail fail to understand the English equivalent of the Manipuri word Yelhoumee written in India's Constitution. Are we a group of self-styled Yelhoumees devoid of Constitutional recognition? How come some of our Ojas have a common agenda with infiltrators in opposing the ST demand? Have they been taken for a ride by our adversaries whose hidden agenda is open today? Have we Meetei been replaced by migrants as indigenous in the list? How many Meetei Ojas know that the Kangpokpi district boundary begins from Cheiraoching and Baruni, let alone Thangjing and Koubru? If the area domination comes, can the political domination be far behind? Can this be the idea of a resilient Manipur? We demand statehood, the Manipuri language in the 8th schedule, ILP etc. Why not Constitutional recognition of our Yelhoumee (aboriginal) status?
