Hi Bec, Firstly i am so sorry to hear about your Aunts passing . Please make sure you are being kind to yourself, you have a lot going on at the moment. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us, I always find your videos so inspiring. Your latest needlebook is going to be beautiful ❤
Your fabric collage is looking wonderful Bec! It’s a beautiful thing to stitch those memories and all of your love into the pieces you take such care to make. Keep finding your solace and your strength among your stitches ❤x
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!! Your stitching and creating is healing to our hearts too….as we are going thru these things too….we NEED YOU LADIES!❤🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I went through similar with my Mother. It WAS a relief. She was in a nursing home for eleven and a half years. She never knew my children who grew up while she was there. You do the best you can. Don’t forget to be kind to yourself. And, talk to your children about it. They won’t remember most of this time.
Bec I love your videos. Please keep making them. You are doing a great job! So sorry about your aunt. I definitely think you should add a little lace to your work. I love slow stitching too. It is so relaxing. ❤
Bec, thanks for sharing what’s on your mind and heart. Even if it is such sad news. But please do not hide what is worrying you. Love your work so much. I get so much inspiration out of it.
Thinking of you ♡ and thanks for sharing your passion and feelings with us ❤️ it brings comfort to many ❤️ and your inspirational process with beautiful fabrics ♡ big love. Vick xxx
I feel so connected,Bec! Your words and sorrow made me sad but at the same time I felt not alone and this is so comforting. Your flower quilt is gorgeous and so the needlebook! Tfs ❤
Bec so sorry for the loss of your aunt and the awfulness of the situation with your Mother. It's a terrible disease that robs you of them before they have even passed and totally understand your grieving. I think you are doing an amazing job on UA-cam, it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there. Best wishes and I hope things improve for you soon. Love watching the progress on your projects.
I just discovered your channel, and I can feel the pain in your voice. I've been there with my mom, Daddy and my husband. Just know you are not alone in this. ... and I loved your video and subscribed. ❤
So sorry to hear about the loss of your aunt. I lost my dear aunt last year,. Thank you for sharing your stitching with all of us. Sending hugs to you, stay strong. ❤
Hi Bec , My mom passed away in April and we all miss her so much . Mom spend a lot of her days making quilts and she gave all of us a quilt including all the grand n great grandchildren . So she made over 50 pieces which we now treasure so much. I got to keep all the bits n pieces and all the scraps of material , her sewing box has a lot of memories in it. So everyday I will pick something from one of her boxes to just add into my stitching. Looking at your video I will make a needle book w all her scraps to giving for xmas , but still thinking what to make for the boys in the family. Maybe a coaster 😉
Oh Bec!! I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt and all the things you are going through right now! 💔😢 I can totally understand what you’re are saying about the sadness mixed with relief dealing with a loved one with memory loss. We are dealing with that with my Grandma and it is so tough!! Thinking of you and hoping for better days ahead for you soon!! Hugs!! 🫶🏻❤️ Glad you have this lovely sewing to work on and enjoy! Thank you for sharing!
Bec, take good care of yourself at this sad and also very busy time. I love your quilt and all the tutorials you generously share with us. Big hugs ❤ Chris x
❤ never apologise for being your true self. Your emotions are what make you , you! We are so often told to be “strong” and “mentally tough” but showing all emotions and dealing with life and loved ones passing is tough and we will get weepy and raw. Thank you for showing us that you are human and real and giving someone like me permission to also feel things. Your stitching is something else!!! I too have a collection of bits collected and I think it’s time I honoured them in a piece like this……better than sitting in boxes and shelves not being seen.
Beautiful piece of work that has so much meaning for you 😍Sorry to hear of your Aunties passing , don’t apologise for being human & emotional, love your work xx
Can only imagine how hard this video was for you, but please know you are cherished, and when you hurt, we hurt. Lifting you up for strength and that life will become easier soon. Your love for your work still shines through, and I'm so thankful for you.
Thanks for sharing even though your life is super busy and you are grieving. Your slow stitch piece is an inspiration to me. I'm grateful for the information about your needle books too. Wishing you every possible blessing during this challenging time of your life.
I'm so sorry to learn you've lost your Aunt & I'm sorry you're Mum is unwell. You're going through so much right now. It's great to see you can find some solace in your creativity. I get that, as many of us do. Please try to look after you too. Sending good thoughts & warm hugs 🫂
Hello I discovered you a few weeks ago and I have been enjoying it so much. Love your love of vintage textiles and I am a big fan of wonky perfectly imperfect stitching. Glad to know other people find solace and calm in stitching. Good luck with the move, Catherine
I’m so sorry for your family during this difficult time. My mother passed from dementia January 2023 and I also lost both of my grandmothers whom I was very close to, to dementia…… it’s absolutely the most devastating illness in the world! I’m so, so sorry…..
Oh Bec if I could I would give you a big hug right now. I totally understand how you are feeling an have followed virtually the same path as you are on at the moment. All I can say is time and stitching are the best healers. You are a wonderful stitcher and have the biggest heart and you will get through this. Without getting to deep I want to pass on a some words that I was told when life seemed to hard and which always resonates with me now......... have you seen the beautiful dragonflies and damsels on a sunny day near ponds and flowers having their best time, well they spend most of their life in silt t the bottom of the pond wriggling round as maggots. They would not believe you if you told them what a beautiful world was awaiting them but sure enough they always get through the mud into the sunshine. I was watching the dragonflies yesterday and never forget that story. Just remember you are doing great.... Oh and one other thing NEVER say you are no good at at utube I for one absolutely love your videos and am always excited to watch them. Keep going Bec. XXXXX
Sorry to hear that your Auntie passed away, my Auntie passed away on Friday 13. Love what you're doing. I'm on the way to Sydney and stitching on the plane.
