I think the Saturn was ahead of its time also, think about,, the music sounded amazing on game consoles back in that time and everything the music nowadays don't even sound as good as it use to sound on video games back in the early mid to late 90's. Long live the 90's.
It was more distinctive when technology was a limit. Now anything can sound like anything there's no focus. It's why so many people go back to 80s and 90s aesthetics, there's a language to play with. In my opinion
Ah, the memories! 💖💫 I LOVED Virtual Fighter!!! Sarah was one of my fave characters. And I loved the soundtrack so much coz of how it gets me so hyped. I listened to this and other songs in the OST while I did my cardio workouts in high school. I will do it again this year 💖💫 here’s wishing I could get in that great shape that this character has (minus the blocky pixel edges!) 😅😂
It's a shame it's over looked over Tekkens marketable's success. Ever time Seag make a game, Namco rips it off andmake money through Sony's Playstation. If the games where on the opposite machine, Virtua Fighter would be more popular.
Yep! I've always said the same thing. Tekken was only more popular due to being on a console that sold waaaaay more. The first two VF games were on the Saturn, which sold 9 million units, that's it. Meanwhile the first 3 Tekken games were on the Playstation, which sold 104 million units. That's an astronomical difference. Way more people had access to Tekken than VF, which greatly contributed to it overtaking VF. Regardless i have always preferred VF as a series.
@boru25 I know its late but I wanted to say I agree all the way. From Virtua Cop to Sega Rally and Virtua Fighter. Sega keeps innovating, and Namco takes it away. If only Sega went to the Playstation. That thing had a broader audience. Not as many people buy Sega consoles as with Sony's Playstation.
@boru25 The Virtua Fighter series has more of a fandom in Japan than anywhere on the world. If Sega were to bring quality games and to heavily promote the Saturn, Virtua Fighter would've had a bigger popularity.
@boru25 I can't really fault Tekken as a series, but for real it does owe it's life to the PlayStation, and yet Namco have the nerve to ask Sony for PS3 based architecture for their new arcade boards in return for Tekken 6 being PS3 exclusive, but go ahead and release the game for 360, whilst intentionally nerfing the PS3 version. It sickens me what has become of them since they merged with Bandai. ¬¬
The lighting in her stage kind of blows me away. Sega was ahead of their time when they made the first game.
very cyberpunkish
Better run home to momma now....
This is a classic!!! I remember staying up late nights playing this game on my Sega Saturn.
Virtua fighter is one of the first 3D fighters back then, this got me groovin' when I hear it in arcades.
and be aware of sarah's spinnin kick
It was THE first 3D fighting game.

@@DenkyManner I agree, mate! Somehow the composers had to overcome the technical limitations with really good music.
games now only use orchestra or noise resembling trap
My fave track out of this game. Sarah seems to get some pretty sweet themes throughout the series.
Happy B🎂Day 🎉Sarah👸🏼Bryant

Love that wind effect through the track.
I played this song.. like 7 times already...

It was just a statement bro you suppose to be animated and vouch for me on it the point i was making was about the 90's not what u careless about.
The arcade version is better
@jnieves77 I can truthfully careless on the music.
