I was so impressed by you in this video, your shots were all stunning, you have such a wonderful understanding of lighting. Definitely following you on socials now :D
This one photo only challenge was great. It makes you think more of your composition like film but at least you get to see it right away. I really like Brandon’s first picture.. that one was 🔥 like straight on a magazine… almost of a grunge feel the way the lighting is and the way she was dressed but loved photos from both… and shout out to the model for slaying it. Great video
That model was so kind and patient! Love these kinds of videos. Great pics to both, though i gotta say i think your friend won purely because of the first round. The second and third are tied for me
Seeing this video has me thinking how best to take single shots during events since you often only get one chance with someone as they are walking by. This is also a reason i often have at least one off camera flash with me during those times! 😂
As a professional photographer, it took me half a year to learn how to take a good photo in one attempt, it's time for every photographer who calls himself a professional to work this way..
love this format! smashed the like button before even seeing the video but i don*t regret it! thanks :) This really brings in some creativity if you handycap yourself like that.
Wow this challenge was so exciting. Brandon won the 1st round though your photo is still pretty good but Brandon nailed it, 2nd round is a draw if we use Brandon's 2nd pic or you win and for the final round you win I like how the model is half lit up and half darker especially her face.
You guys are the best!..maybe 3 is the good sweet spot?..in the sense..because me personally I "double tap".click, click...like shooting a gun..haha most of the time I take two shots continous..depending on the situation..haha but 3 because sometimes people have their eyes closed for one and the other two are your "safety shots"...keep up the wonderful content..both of you!!..
Nice! Every digital photographer needs to do this. 1,000 photos for a shoot is nuts. What do you do with all those photos? You go thru them and pick out maybe 20-30 good ones, post or print 4-5 and then the other 995 are never seen again and just take up space on hard drives, waste of time IMO. I have ditched all my newer cameras and lenses and now shoot film, instant film and old Fuji digicams but limit myself to around 50 photos per shoot and it makes me think about actually working with a model more than just having her stand there and pose while I snap away the way most every digital photographer does. My models/clients love it as well. No one wants to go thru 1,000 photos to find a few they actually like. Not to be rude but if someone needs to take 1,000 photos to get 4-5 useable ones, photography is probably not for them😃
Where he's where those orange barrels are and he doesn't know what to do because he lost his light I personally would do an overexposure shot to compensate for that lost light
OK, I took screen grabs of each chosen shot, and after review twice, Round 1 - Brandon, Round 2 - Brandon, Round 3 - a tie. Overall, I think Brandon chooses his scene and composition a bit more carefully, and he gets closer. IMHO
You had to have actual talent and know what you were doing back then. Now, literally anyone can be a photographer because the camera and lens does everything for you. Shooting with a film camera and a manual lens is a good way to test how good you really are. Its fun.
Now if your both allowed to take the same number photos that's equal but with Jessica really was actually doing in traditional film was called she was bracketing
As a brand new photographer, taking only a single photo makes me wanna throw up, I KNOW I'll miss focus, overexpose or frame it poorly because I don't have the knowledge yet. (Nikon D3100, Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6)
Amazing! Both of you!! I would also love a challenge, where you are allowed to take one photo in the first round, then two in the second and three in the third. 🩷
All of the photos Jassica took looks like someone who is beginner took those photos she can literally use those locations to get some dope photos she is noob thats a fact 🤞
JESS!!! This video was such a blast… but I’m going back to filling up my 256GB cards😌🫶
😂
I was so impressed by you in this video, your shots were all stunning, you have such a wonderful understanding of lighting. Definitely following you on socials now :D
Your pics are amazing!
Great to see you on videos again! Amazing shots...both of you. Please do this again! 😊✌️
Jess breaking her own rule 😂
This is such a great concept and exercise for any photographer!
So happy to see Brandon back in a video! i love how he plays withh lighting!
This was good! More content with Brandon!
Brandon's garage pic was the best ❤
This one photo only challenge was great. It makes you think more of your composition like film but at least you get to see it right away. Ahh loved this! More challenge videos please, so much fun to watch
the way I was holding my breath for the light to come back for Brandon lmaoo
literally same bestie
Brandons images are SO GOOD
glad to see you and brandon doing these kinds of challenges again
*laughing in film photography*
i really like this challenge because it makes you think more in the composition instead of taking random photos.
11:47 do not miss your chance to blow
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime, yo
As a professional photographer, it took me half a year to learn how to take a good photo in one attempt, it's time for every photographer who calls himself a professional to work this way..
I love this video, its so funny😂🙈 What about recreating zara photos the next time?
You're in Brooklyn. It's hard to take a bad photo over there. Both are winners!!!
AMERICA'S NEXT TOP PHOTOGRAPHER. I think your on to something. 🧐
I love the last round. Brandon killed it as usual
the comentary, so ANTM, I love it! Great video
love this format! smashed the like button before even seeing the video but i don*t regret it! thanks :)
This really brings in some creativity if you handycap yourself like that.
Brandon took it!!first round and last but great pics by both
Pleeeease do this again. Also, great to see Brandon 😊✌️
Love this idea!
@BrandonWoelfel you are the best!!!!!!!!
Wow this challenge was so exciting. Brandon won the 1st round though your photo is still pretty good but Brandon nailed it, 2nd round is a draw if we use Brandon's 2nd pic or you win and for the final round you win I like how the model is half lit up and half darker especially her face.
Love this! - Jess, you ever shoot studio? I'd love to see more studio sessions by you.
What an insteresting challenge!!! I really love it!
Both were Amazing
WAWA!!!!!! Love her!
面白い、loved the video! ✨🧚🏻
Lmao i love when you guys collab you are different photographers and i love it
The song goes"....You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime..." from the song lose yourself 😂
Love this one
Is that empty headroom at 8:46 intentionally? Awesome competition, I really enjoyed the video 😊
Those who have ever enjoyed shoot film, knows what this challenge is about. Shooting with film, you have to think about the photo yoir going to take.
Yes. You can do this with digital too. Just use a 128MB card 😃
What is the photo backpack you are using?
Brandon is a genious!
🔥🔥🔥
Jess using the tyra tactic and turning her pic black and white to make it look better 👀 🤣
what lens Brandon was using
You guys are the best!..maybe 3 is the good sweet spot?..in the sense..because me personally I "double tap".click, click...like shooting a gun..haha most of the time I take two shots continous..depending on the situation..haha but 3 because sometimes people have their eyes closed for one and the other two are your "safety shots"...keep up the wonderful content..both of you!!..
Brandon ATE
This is fun omg
i want you to do the same challenge with a film camera.
Nice! Every digital photographer needs to do this. 1,000 photos for a shoot is nuts. What do you do with all those photos? What light was used for the end of the shoot?
Brandon got the first round, Jessica got the last round. I'm split on the second round.
Where he's where those orange barrels are and he doesn't know what to do because he lost his light I personally would do an overexposure shot to compensate for that lost light
thanks for this video, im gonna challenge me and my team to do this
This is a very interesting challenge. I dont know if i'd manage. 😂
OK, I took screen grabs of each chosen shot, and after review twice, Round 1 - Brandon, Round 2 - Brandon, Round 3 - a tie. Overall, I think Brandon chooses his scene and composition a bit more carefully, and he gets closer. IMHO
This is a challenge every photographer should try👍
is that a 5D??? why arent you shooting mirrorless?
i don't wanna
@@JessicaKobeissi I need a video as to why you won’t conform lol
@JessicaKobeissi thats the best reason ❤
Second round Jessica wins since I like the pose and the outfit is more out there.
Come on guys, 11:49 that’s a line in one of the most popular Eminem songs, Lose Yourself 🤙
36 on SLR and 12 on my TLR. Yes film. These are the avg minimum. I could do over 100 but that's more work on the post-processing.
3 photos?! cheating!! XD lol
so funny hahaha love it
And that Orange construction signs 8:00
I like the most Jesica’s first shot
I couldn't;t work with just taking one photo, I'd stress at all the opportunities I wasn't taking
Imagine being a film photographer back in the day where you can’t instantly check your work
You had to have actual talent and know what you were doing back then. Now, literally anyone can be a photographer because the camera and lens does everything for you. Shooting with a film camera and a manual lens is a good way to test how good you really are. Its fun.
Those of us shooting before 2000 with MF and LF cameras accepts this challenge, No Problem.
Also known as 2% battery.
Or a 128MB card
Now if your both allowed to take the same number photos that's equal but with Jessica really was actually doing in traditional film was called she was bracketing
BRANDON ATE
The hesitation’s revenge 6:52
I'm in the Brandon camp " overshoot"
I pack 4 batteries and 128gb and some lenses then I’m good
6:40 Story of my life.
why are usually the models so quiet ;-; it would flare up my anxiety
well you guys certainly did better than anything i would have done lol
Sorry Jess, but I'd say Brandon's style is just that little bit better in my, subjective opinion. Someone else might prefer yours!
Brandon took the 3rd round for showdie
As a brand new photographer, taking only a single photo makes me wanna throw up, I KNOW I'll miss focus, overexpose or frame it poorly because I don't have the knowledge yet.
(Nikon D3100, Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6)
classic film idea, master of manual film camera knows.
For me brandon won all the rounds
Look at all of that fence around you, maybe shot thru 7:54
Brandon won round 1 and 3
Magicarp
Brandons shots are nicer, i like the telephoto look more - Sorry Jess. The last round is a tie i would say.
Jessica you cheater😂
at least 1000 lol, that's called happy trigger.
Parking Garage!
Brandon won.
Don’t like the lights going through the head in his first shot.
If this is the case of commercial shoot so man people would be extremely happy, sorry advertising agency 😉
I could not do this 🤪
Cause opportunities only comes once in a life time ? :D
the eminem bit is sad that they dont know the lyrics
the dude is spray and pray photographer... lol...
Jess did cheat on the first one.
single digits xDDDDDDD
Amazing! Both of you!! I would also love a challenge, where you are allowed to take one photo in the first round, then two in the second and three in the third. 🩷
You need to replace the R5 camera. Allows you to more accurately measure light and complete challenges.
All of the photos Jassica took looks like someone who is beginner took those photos she can literally use those locations to get some dope photos she is noob thats a fact 🤞
FIRST OF ALL WHY YOU BUDDIES SO MUCH OF TALKING FROM YOUR NOSE SPECIFICALLY THE WOMAN PHOTOGRAPHER ...
