- New playthrough with The God of War, Ares. He was actually a really fun and easy character to use. Only thing that frustrated me is that I wasn't able to pull off his enhanced teleport combo. I was probably pressing the button too late which caused me to screw up the combo. lol

@@AnyHero I'm still salty about the fact that the last fight between Ares (literal god of war, master swordsman, can summon weapons out of nothing) and Wonder Woman (literal Amazon, trained in swordsmanship since childhood, skilled in all kind of combat) was reduced to some bullshit lightning throw. We could/should have had the coolest swordfight sequence in that year man!

I don't care what anybody says, Ares is a good character. You just have to use him properly. Which is actually his biggest flaw, you pretty much have to re-learn the game. It's worth it though, his teleport KILLS Deathstroke's zoning game and his corner damage is better than Superman's. Oh, and NEVER use his super, use the meter for God smack, Dark energy and Warp. God smack becomes unblockable, Dark energy gets bigger and stronger and Warp recovers faster.

+HarbingerOfBattle Never use his Super. Not likely. It is one of the best in the game. If I am winning the fight and I have a chance to use given the right timing and place I will. Super moves make fighting games great.

nothing to think about Try it on Max difficulty and see how "easy" it will be. Fighting games without cinematic super moves just feel naked and incomplete. Think about it. What are video games? Motion pictures or movies. Interactive movies. How do you maximize the movie experience? Special effects, right? As time progresses so does the movie, music, and video game industries and its important to keep up with the times. Mk9 for example. They added Xray moves so they could not only keep up with the times but also become relevant in a time when they obviously couldn't. So it was only natural to include xrays in MKX. It would have been counterproductive not to. And as a result of the popularity other games like this and Tekken with their rage arts system had no choice but to evolve with the times or perish.
I think Aquaman has diplomatic immunity against throwable environement!
Technically Ares has a tomb/temple, all the greek gods have one. its where all the mortals can go to pray and pay their respect to that respective god.

Spiritual things can't be discerned by those that don't know God. It sounds like foolishness to them. They are unqualified to judge spiritual matters. They are incapable of understanding them because those things can only be discerned spiritually and not with the natural mind. It is by the Spirit of God we believe and not with our minds. Nice to get a brutal character in this. That super has got to be the best one in the game. Gods always get the good move sets usually.
I'm sorry, but Netherrealms cannot make a character cross their arms right. Ares and Stryker, they don't tuck them in they just overlap them. They still badass.

I think they’re the same voice actor. I believe they pitched Aries voice down with her voice modulator or something? But it definitely sounds like it’s the same guy. They did the same thing with cyborg and doomsday
