Thanks a lot lot this series of reviews. I have received my DS02D15 yesterday. It runs firmware 3204 and software 1.0.2.0.0(220819.00). So far no issues. I'm in about the same situation as jumpstar8883 and it's an amazing scope to me. Very pleased with it.
Thanks for going through all this effort and for answering my voltage ripple question. Sad to see such a good oscilloscope simply fail to cope up with the most basic functionality.
You've got me confused. Why is it such a good scope and why does it fail at basic features? I would like to see any measured values or displayed waveform to represent actual values. Isn't that what this device is made to do? Just being curious.
I don't know if anyone noticed, but there seems to be a new firmware released just a week or so ago. I haven't tried it yet. I only received my scope a couple of days ago. It is running firmware version 3204 and overall, for my use cases I'm very happy with it so far tbh. Thanks for the video.
@@TechCornerTV Thanks, yes it is exciting scope for me. My last scope was a Tektronix 25MHz and that was 20 years ago, and before that all kinds of analog scopes from the 70's and 80's haha. So no matter what this thing seems amazing to me after so long. Let us know if this new firmware is any better. I am curious. 👍
Hello Hugo, I also think that the quality of the product hotline is essential! Here the disappointed or should one say deceived customer can reduce frustration. Service is important and right! 👍😀😠😎
Well Hugo, my D10 is being shipped from China. I’m hopeful it isn’t affected by the vertical offset issue like yours. I’ll keep an eye open for your next Firmware update video. Great channel 👍
Hi Dave, it seems that this oscilloscopes have 2 levels of firmware, the software layer that is updated with the files and a low level firmware not updated. I'm going to do a video soon on how to update this low level firmware and check if it finally solves my problem with the offset. If you're oscilloscope is with "low level" firmware 3202, you should be alright. I'm gonna try to update mine to that version. Thanks for watching! 👍
@@TechCornerTV Hi Hugo. My DS02D10 has arrived and is now installed with s/w 220210 and f/w 3202. Happy to confirm there’s no vertical offset freezing issues throughout the range to 100MHz👍
Thank-you, this video makes me re-think getting the Hantek 2D15. I'm a hobbyiest, this would be my first scope. I'm not sure I could manage the constant freezing. I read some review where they said the IC in the Hantek needs some heat sinks and that will prevent the Freezing. they said "Radiators" on the IC, but I think they meant heat sinks.
Hello, I'm trying to get the time to make on last & final review with the last firmware that came out recently. This problem was solved with a firmware update (I show on a video after), but at that time still had some issues with auto sensing and low voltages. I want to clear if that is solved, but I have devices pilling up for review sent by manufacturers and those have always priority. If someone has the trouble to send you the device for review, in my opinion, you should at least review ASAP. Thanks for watching 👍 You're quite active and I really appreciate your comments 🤜🤛
Hey Johnny, I will do another video soon after the "low level" firmware upgrade and will retest this with your tips. Always improving, thanks for your input and for watching! 👍
I never knew this either. Thanks brother. I'm getting a siglent psu in a few weeks to replace my horrible longwei and kaiweets switchers. At least I got one of them for free but it's only 70 dollars on Amazon anyway. Haha. They're clones of each other except paint color. Haha Better than nothing though for when I was a total noob. I've gained more xp in the past few years though but I'm still in the noob zone haha
Hi, didn't tested yet, but I will do another (final) review of this with the latest firmware release very recently, just getting the time for that. I can check it at that time. Thanks for watching!
Hi, you're probably right, I to be honest, I can't remeber if it was done of record or not. But, trust me that even calibrated in mV it still has some issues, even so, still consider it one of best "cheap" oscilloscopes out there for everything it delivers for the price. I have a more recent video of it done last month. Thanks for watching!
I own the DSO20D10 and my unit also locks up when rotate the channel 1 position knob. Interestingly, it does not lock up on channel 2. So how do you prevent this? You can prevent channel 1 from locking up by moving the position knob very slowly. It appears to me that the processor gets overwhelmed when it tries to perform too much math. When you move the knob slowly it is able to keep up so no lockup.
Hey Bob, upgrade to the latest firmware you can download from hantek website an I have a video here in the channel teaching how to do it, step by step. ua-cam.com/video/4Vy9acRJFQc/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
Good, how could I solve the problem when putting it in roll mode, it does not show me the square wave, it only shows me a broadband, I already tried to configure it and I do not find the case
Hi, I can't know what you're seeing on the screen 😁. If auto doesn't fix it, they you have to work with time division and trigger position to have a steady signal. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Could you please compare the waveforms captured at 1~10mV level between 2D10 and Rigol or better oscilloscopes? It's important to know if 2D10 can capture small glitches ? Thank you
Hi Franz, in september I'm gonna do the last video about this oscilloscope, because many people asked for it, but spoiler alert, it is better, way better, but still with some issues. To be fair, this isn't a multimeter, but anyway it has to be accurate. That will be my last review video on this oscilloscope. After that, it will end. Thanks for watching! 👍
Dear Franz, I´m radioamateur and electrical engineer, too. I need this oscilloscope only for alignment for some older CB-Stations and some microcontroller projects. I bought this scope before one week:2D10. But at low signals, it is something noisy, I have some analog meters for low signals and a spectrum analyzer Rigol DSA815, but I think and old analog oscilloscope, would be better for me, because it´s not so noisy for lower signals.I have an analog oscilloscope Hitachi VC-7504, 150Mhz scope, with something digital properties, but it need serviced, I changed some capacitors in vertical unit, but I dont get a service manual from Hitachi more.Without alignment it doesnt start.😕
The latest video that I can find is dated April 15, 2022 and 45 minutes in you say that the freezing issue is still there. Is there another video? It seems like the safe thing to do is to pay the extra money and go with the Siglent SDS1202X-E.
I'm so sorry to mislead you. I thought that I mentioned in my 3 videos series and I didn't. Ok, so heres the thing, the problem of freezing while moving the offset is solved. Still has some little issues with voltage detection, but nothing serious and I have to check if the last firmware solves that. Next month will do a video on that, but if meanwhile you want one and wish to help a bit the channel, you can the affiliate links 😁 Seriously, my opinion is that it is a fairly good device for the privce, you get a lot in a accessible price.
@@TechCornerTV Maybe you should do a short video to clarify this. I was searching like crazy, because I don't have much money and need and oscillosope, but the often recommended Rigolas are too expensive for me. And your latest video of the DSO2D15 made me think that it still had this issue, too.
Have the issues you outlined been resolved? I was looking at purchasing the Hantek 2D15, if they have not been resolved could you suggest an alternate?
Hi, I will do a video (final to close this) next month with lastest firmware that was release last month. But in general, the latest video I made about the Hantek DSO2000 already corrected this ugly bug, it still had some errors in voltage reading, but I'm expecting that to be corrected with this last update. Thanks for watching! 👍
very good test. I have the 2c10, upgraded to 2d15 and also upgraded the firmware to 3202 the same day I bought it 6 months ago. At first it crashed a lot but with this year's updates I don't remember it crashing, and it doesn't have that offset problem, but I use the oscilloscope's function generator
Hi Ulises, thanks for sharing and you input on this. Dávid brought on another comment on this video a very good point, that is the firmware being different of the firmware. I'll have to investigate that further. There might be the related to this problem. Thanks for watchin 👍
October 2021 but I had already read some comments at the beginning of 2021 that some dso2c10 had the built-in function generator. so when I bought it I tried if I was lucky enough to have the built-in function generator
It’s been 1 year since this video and I think there have been more updates. Are the problems still there or have they been solved? Also, at the end of the video you mention a signal generator but I didn’t understand the brand or model (I think it’s Jantek but I can’t find it) and also the cheap protocol analyzer you mentioned. Thank you.
Hi, after this video, I did some more, search the channel Oscilloscope playlist and you have it there my final video. My function generator is a Owon XGD2100 Dual 100Mhz output. Juntek has some very nice function generators, very affordable for what they give you, I recomend the PSG9000. In terms of protocol analyser just visit www.techcorner.tv/aliexpress and insert on the search box "USB Logic Analyzer", you'll find it from 4€. Thanks for watching.
Hi, I don't have Siglent oscilloscopes... that kind of equipment starts to be to much expensive for buying for reviews and if siglent don't send it for review, I can't buy it only for that purpose. But I can't tell you that 1mV this equipment is not able to correctly see the voltage, it starts to have some accuracy at 15mV give or take. Thanks for watching!
Mine, newest 230327.00 Firmware has no offset problem, can move up down , no hang. I tried voltage too.. 1mv setting shows half a millivolt on no input , so i am satisfied with the results.
Hello! Sorry for late reply, house move and vacations. Really good and I'm happy that is working ok, I still have to do an update of the latest firmware that was release a couple of weeks ago. Overall, is not a bad device, I like it. Thanks for watching!
Hi ! I have DSO2C10 hacked to DSO2D15 - no freezing issues - but the low frequencies are really unusable :/ update time of display is useless if set to milisecond range :/ Othervise its really good for that price !
Hi! I believe that is one of the usage scenarios, but you have a bunch other scenarios, to mock on the circuit for example, a motor output (sinewave), to mock ECG's and be able to test equipment, to simulate the work of a motor, a good function/signal generator car replicate the signal you get on a lot of situations, so you can test your circuit without having the real thing on hand, like a car motor. Thanks for watching. 👍
Do any of the DSO's have a DC Offset function? In many transducer measurements it is necessary to measure low level voltage changes (~10 mv) that ride on top of -12 VDC offset. We often used a special Tek analog scope plug-in that had a 'DC Offset" function so we could keep the the scope in DC Coupled mode in the 10 mv range and use DC Offset knob to center the waveform so we could observe low level DC mV changes that were on a -12 to -15 VDC signal. Thanks.
Hi, many of this entry level oscilloscopes emulate functions and the result many times is not the desired one. If you had a special equipment to correctly do that measurement on the Tektronix, I think is pretty safe to say that they haven't the equipment in this lower price oscilloscopes, or at least, with the same precision. Thanks for watching! 👍
Hola Sergio! And thats all my spanish there 😁 I still have to do a final video with the latest software, but no time to do it... overall is not a such a bad equipment, specially considering the price. Thanks for watching!
Bought the DSO2D15 model, only later I discovered it has Trigger Level problems with signals below 300 mVpp. I did all the firmware updates, still the traces run on the display, no way to stop them. Things get worse if you keep the oscilloscope on for more than ten minutes. Then, if you select a 50 mVpp sine wave with the internal signal generator, the image is strongly distorted. I contacted Hantek several times, they wanted a video of mine showing the issue. Sent the video twice in a month, then Hantek disappeared. I re-sent a final e-mail today, I am waiting for a sign of life from them. At this moment no help at all, their after sale sucks. I did a BIG mistake, I should have bought a Tektronix instead but you only learn these things later...
try to get measures using the same probe used in Rigol , maybe the hantek probe cable is no good and has some loses...or internal probe circuit is no good, and maybe is needed do the scope calibration nice video
Hi Wilson, thanks for the tips! One of these days, I'm gonna do a last & final review of this device and in that review I will use my Rigol probes. Maybe it gives better results. Thanks for watching!

What do you prefer? Hantek DSO2C10, Siglent SDS1052DL+ ó FNIRSI ADS1014D? :D thanks!
Hi, Siglent is on another championship. For me FNIRSI 1014D is very nice to work but misses a lot of important functions, so between Hantek and FNIRSI, in this case, I would go with Hantek, if the budget allows, then Siglent for sure. But 1014D is being sold around $100 in Aliexpress, so it's another price range, it all depends of what you have $$$ available. Thanks for watching.
guess i need to try the update to see if the trigger is any better, i bought mine end of last year so a mid 2021 model i guess, and the trigger is somewhere between comedy feature and useless, a bit out on voltage/offset i can live with as i'm mostly power supply fixing or signal tracing not measuring absolute values as such
Hi Lez, it will be better, but slighty... good luck with the upgrade, I have a serie of videos released a month ago that cover that topic. Thanks for watching! 👍
HANTEK DSO2C10 measures 12v battery voltage. Why does channel 1 measure more than channel 2? Channel 1 measured MAX 12.8V, but channel 2 measured 12.2v. The difference is approximately 0.6v. This clip ua-cam.com/video/nuY9gXZR0zo/v-deo.html
Just picked up the 15 and wondering is I should send it back. It also seems hantek tech support does not bother to respond... At least now for the last 7 days.
Hey Gregg, at least on that FNIRSI has the whatsapp group that *if* you're able to join, they're fast to respond. Regarding the hantek, it seems there is a way to upgrade low level firmware and I'll try to do that to see if the problem is solved with that "low leveL" fw upgrade. I'll try to post the video in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for watching. 👍

Great test! That freezing issue would've been the only thing to put me off. Fortunately my unit doesn't seem to have any bugs like that. The weird thig is that software and firmware seem to be separated on this scope. Seems like you can only upgrade the software but not the firmware. For example my software from factory is the 20210726 version. On the firmware side it has 3202. Yours on the other hand shows 3200 even after upgrading. Begs the question. Is it even possible to upgrade that? And if it is possible would that resolve the freezing issues?
Hi Dávid, you mention and brought up a very good point of view, I've never noticed the firmware version in the botton, I know thats silly, but in the middle of so many things, that passed me and you're right, what updates is the software version, not the firmware version. I'll try to get in touch with the Hantek support to get some feedback on this. Thanks for your input, it was very useful. Thanks for watching! 👍
Although Hantek made efforts to release firmware and software updates for the DSO 2000 series oscilloscopes, they should provide also the software tools needed to perform backup and restore operations. Furthermore, I wonder how can a company that manufactures oscilloscopes can release a product on the market without heatsinks installed on the processors and without a good silent fan to aid the cooling process of the device wile running?
Friend, my Oscilloscope HANTEK DSO5102P I am no longer able to update when I update it, this message appears ''Firmware Update Failed, error 0xfe An update file was not found on the USD device'', how to resolve to remove this error do you know what it is, or someone thank you very much
Hi, I know that this might be silly, but just trying to help here, did you try to upgrade the PC USB (oscilloscope) drivers to a more recent ones? Thanks for watching.

HI! Well no very probable, but maybe. But if you watch the oscilloscope showdown video, the probes I used in the video were the probes of the oscilloscope and the values were also messed up, so to be honest, I don't think so. The probe I used is 300Mhz Rigol probe, the best I have, it's a possibility that it has some kind of problem, but don't think so, works well on my Rigol.... thanks for watching and your comment! 👍
I purchased one based on your first comparison video, and mine does not seem to have the strange quirks that yours does. Mine is the 15 instead of the 10 that you have. Have you ever considered reviewing some of the hobby level bench meters. I want one, but can’t decide which one to try.
Hi Jay, what is your budget for a bench DMM? I can give a look, they're a bit expensive and there is so many models, it is a moody topic to review 😁 once you start you're stuck in it, because of compare between models and so on... but tell me what you want and can tell what I think it will be a nice solution. Thanks for watching 👍
@@TechCornerTV I think around $300??? Maybe I should also consider used ones off Ebay, but seems kind of risky. I'm sure the handheld meters I already have are plenty good for the stuff I do, but really just want one. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! I enjoy your channel very much.
My first scope was a hantek dso5102p and the waveforms were so noisy. I saved up for a siglent then a month later scored a tektronix and a 1kva anchor of an isolation transformer in a very lopsided (but honest) trade. I gave my hantek away and vowed to never buy any hantek device again. I will say though that if the one you're showing was out I'd probably have liked it more. The old hantek had no features.
Hi Joey, yes that is the main strengh of this unit, you get a lot for the price you have. Otherwise, Owon will have no problem to suplant this. Thanks for watching!
@@TechCornerTV I wonder how the built-in awg will be over time. I'll give them credit for keeping the range low. Alot of other Chinese scopes or awgs in general try to punch higher than they're capable of and suffer for it. I don't think I've ever used my 2 chan Chinese awg for anything higher than 1mhz. It says koolertron on the scope but I've seen a bunch of other companies brand on it as well. It's decent though. 60mhz 350msa 2 chan but not split like some as far as I can tell. Amd bought xilinx recently and it would be cool to see an nvme pcie gen 5 logic analyzer or something out of that deal. I heard there's an fpga co processor for edge computing in that package.
@@jstro-hobbytech The AWG actually is pretty decent. Only 25Mhz, most people don't even need one, but you can define the voltage, it has arbitrary functions and a function editor, so quite satisfied with that one. In terms of long run, can't tell. On my daily day I use my Rigol.
Hi James, a new firmware came out in these last months, I will upgrade mine and do a final test to this oscilloscope and then put this topic to rest. It should be relead around september/october. Thanks for watching! 👍
Mine freezes occasionally but nothing like yours. I upgraded it to 150 MHz but I don’t have any way to test it. Have you upgraded? It’s free you just have to rename a file.
Hi Stevens, I'm working on a frequency generator based on high speed crystals, something cheap that will allow me to test oscilloscopes with frequencies higher than the 100mhz that my function generator can output. When I release that video, you can see how to test it. Your problem, probably is because of heating, you have internally a support for a fan, maybe hack your to install the fan. The freezes I got in this video were firmware issue and were solved with an upgrade. Thanks for watching!
I got a DSO3254A and the PoE option is just a straight up lie. No matter the switch or injector i use, the scope never boots or shows any signs of life at all
Hi George, sorry the late reply. It's a pitty because they have nice products, but sometimes seems they don't care. Hope you can solve your issue. You have also that option where you have a power splitter in one end with the power supply (bundled with the oscilloscope) and in the other end you have just the terminal. It operates in RJ45 cables, higly used for IP cameras. This was suggestion to solve your issue, it should work with PoE as annouced. Thanks for watching.
Hi, it depends when you got it. The first units came with the function generator harware and it was only a firmware limitation. I know that there is units that don't have the hardware, so for those it will not work. Thanks for watching!
Hi again, there are more recent videos where that problem is solved with firmware upgrade. I think it is a set of 3 videos to do a backup, restore from brick and another one, can't recall right now. Thanks for watching!
You made some mistakes. You updated software not FW. You are running on old firmware. You haven't run calibration after the update. Also you must wait for the scope to reach operating temperature. The doc says have it run at least 20 mins before doing calibration. You are also missing fresh information. The forum links below on EEVBlog have a lot of valuable info you need to read. Also there is a FW changer application created by DavidAlfa. Hantek does not publish FW updates. They occasionally send updates individually to people reporting problems. Latest version is 3204, but there is not much feedback yet, if it is suitable for everyone. But you can freely update or roll back any FW between 3200 and 3204. DavidAlfa's GDrive folder: Lots of staff here, hacking, mods, scripts, and a depository of all SW and FW versions.
I can't post links. You have to search for yourself. eevblog new-hantek-dso2x1x-models hantek-dso2x1x-firmware-updates-and-best-use-practices DavidAlfa's Google Drive: 1Tqk8YbL_M3S0vtk7h_cZ-01U2idIaqqx Lots of staff here and a depository of all SW and FW versions. Ohh, and don't use Platform tools, like someone suggested before. It's going to reformat your device and you loose factory calibration, serial number, etc. Only use it in case you bricked your scope.
Hi Gellért, everything you said is true and I want to thank you so much for taking the time to help in such detail. Some weeks later this video, I made a series of 3 videos that will teach exactly to do that. Even so, you're great in this post! Kudos to you 😁💪 and finally Hantek decided to stop calling firmware to everything 🤦♀️ Thanks for watching! 👍
My oscilloscope is bricked and doesn't unfreze. Ajiteck hantek India doesn't support even if the product is in warranty. They just tell waiting for Hantek reply and do nothing.

Hi Help me please! Hantek dso2d15 I set the percentage of the display and line brightness settings to a minimum, but the brightness itself does not change after turning on the power. If you reflash, will the warranty be voided? What to do. how to fix?
Hello SVET, the first thing is to contact the hantek support. For what I know, they're not very responsive, so if you don't have an answer in a week or so, try to see what is the latest version of your oscilloscope and if is not the latest, upgrade it. I have here ua-cam.com/video/4Vy9acRJFQc/v-deo.html the instructions on how to upgrade to the latest version. It is one of a 3 video series that will give you a lot of info on that topic. Thanks for watching! 👍
Hi Hugo, you're wasting your time with Hantek stuff! You are a smart engineer, you have a lot of patience.... but it's no use.... the Hantek Scope crashes or hangs! It is also frustrating for me, as a viewer, when the Scope refuses its service! For 3 dollars more, you get a scope from the competition that works! 😀😌🙂
Hallo, i saw the worst criticism in your Channel and by Amazon, i think : Hantek, Hanmantekk....the same shit....thanks for your answer! I bought a scope from Owon... its very well... Greetings from Germany
Hello. I'm also looking for a good oscilloscope on a budget. About the freezing issue, did anybody tried out the cooling solution described by this russian dude here ua-cam.com/video/xnkrG3Mn9DA/v-deo.html ?
When we get trash as this scope is, we must say it, and not try to justify the incompetence of Hantek. Don't buy this scope: beautifull but trash - simple as this!
Artur, let's agree to disagree. I don't have any interest here, this one was not even sponsored, I payed with my own money. I am in a position professionally, that allowed me to spend 900€ on a Rigol oscilloscope for an hobby, there is not the reallity over there and I respect everyone who hardly saves the money they can to buy such a device, because they won't even be able to buy a more expensive one. My mission here is show the pros and cons and let the people decide if they want to spend the money, that the all point of this channel from its creation. I'm the first to say this oscilloscope has problems, I've showed that several times, but also has some advantages, the protocol decoder works like a charm, as do the signal gererator or other functions. The live is not black and white and we most of the times can't have the perfect solution, we have to deal with the solution you can afford. But for those, I want to give all the information that I can so they decide in peace. I'm not in favour or against any product in specific... every product has a potential user, that up to they to decide if is a correct fit or not, not me. Again and to finish, I totally understand your comments, but I do have a more moderated opinioin because I've tested many options out there and considering the options (on the same price range), this one has it place.... thats it, nothing less, nothing more.
@@TechCornerTV Many thanks for your response! I got one of this and I was so disappointed with it as I ever was with any, even problematic, equipment. My one is unusable above 10MHz, so many noise and sequential spikes over displayed wave. I updated it to last firmware and nothing. Really, really disappointed! Congratulations for your beautifull lab!
@@arturmjunior1 Curious what sort of signal level you're trying to measure? This scope has noise issues and it's a part of the hardware design. There's nothing really that can be done in firmware to fix this. If you're trying to measure small signals you're basically screwed. This didn't come as too much of a surprise to me. It does work out OK for my usage but limitations on the advertised memory depth, poor software quality and complete lack of support from Hantek are more of a concern. You get what you pay for and you need to set your expectations accordingly.
@@dirtmover123 Hello, DJH! My troubles are not with low level signals. I was using its internal function generator and, above 10MHZ, 5Vpp, I got an anoying diturbing signal. I was very busy these days, but fortunately, I finished the task this week and I will resume my tests and works with this scope. Unfortunatelly, I paid a reasonable price for this scope and really would not like to discard it (or better, I can't do this - it will have to work). I'll post some pictures when possible. In this mean time, I really discourage any person in Earth to buy such oscilloscope, for any pourpose in electronics beyond sitting on your table for nothing, even hobbist plans, and occupying space.
I have updated my unit: completely removed the switching power supply and put inside it a new linnear power supply - 3A transformer - linnear regulator and also a line filter. This removed almost all strange spikes it used to have. Now I can see a simple senoidal waveform beyond 1MHz without unbeliavable disturbing noise. But this not solved all problems. The waveform doesn't stabilize - I believe that small noise still interferes into signal and doesn't allow the scope to stay at zero "main" point. If I turn on the 20MHz internal filter, it gets much better, but if my signal is around this frequency, I can't use the filter. Using simple diodes, I will try to replace all other switching supplies, those on main board. As I said, the oscilloscope is a tool to fix other things and you need to trust on it, not fix it first! Don't buy this scope unleast you are ready to spend days working on it!
Hi Rob, Great to hear! It is a very complete scope, some quirks, but even so, a very good "package" of features. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for going through all this effort and for answering my voltage ripple question. Sad to see such a good oscilloscope simply fail to cope up with the most basic functionality.
Hi! I will have to test the fix David talks about on his video, but yeah, this is a nonsense bug, is a total deal breaker issue! Thanks for watching 👍
@@TechCornerTV That means we're gonna have another awesome video :)
You've got me confused. Why is it such a good scope and why does it fail at basic features?
I would like to see any measured values or displayed waveform to represent actual values. Isn't that what this device is made to do? Just being curious.
@@theovannieuwenhuizen5756 that is not what an oscilloscope is made to do
I don't know if anyone noticed, but there seems to be a new firmware released just a week or so ago. I haven't tried it yet.
I only received my scope a couple of days ago. It is running firmware version 3204 and overall, for my use cases I'm very happy with it so far tbh.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing and for watching! Enjoy your new scope 😁
Totally agree with you.
@@TechCornerTV Cool, I’ll let you know when it arrives 👍
@@TechCornerTV totally understand, I'm trying to help someone else who has the 2D15 hantek and has lot of issues. I sent them to eevblogs.
Voltage ripple test is done by setting the channel on AC, not on DC and bandwidth limitation should be kept at 20Mhz for this test.
Thanks, Hugo, I guess for now I will stick with my cheap FNIRSI 1014D. It also has problems, but it is ok for basic signal checks.
Hey Tron, seems that we can do "low level" firmware upgrade, I'll try that in the following weeks and leave here the result... thanks for watching! 👍
Does this problem occur at very high frequencies.
وهل هذه المشكلة تحدث في الترددات العالية جدا أم في جميع الحالات؟
Hi, didn't tested yet, but I will do another (final) review of this with the latest firmware release very recently, just getting the time for that. I can check it at that time. Thanks for watching!
Should you not have done a calibration after the f/w update? Just curious.
What is AFG, AFG Stand for
Hi, AFG stands for Arbitrary Function Generator, is a function generator that allow you to create custom waveforms for testing. Thanks for watching! 👍
@@TechCornerTV thank you
I own the DSO20D10 and my unit also locks up when rotate the channel 1 position knob.

Is Siglent SDS1202X-E a far better option than Hantek dso2d10?

Have the issues you outlined been resolved? I was looking at purchasing the Hantek 2D15, if they have not been resolved could you suggest an alternate?
Hi, I will do a video (final to close this) next month with lastest firmware that was release last month. But in general, the latest video I made about the Hantek DSO2000 already corrected this ugly bug, it still had some errors in voltage reading, but I'm expecting that to be corrected with this last update. very good test.

Hi ulises - when (year/month) did you buy your DSO2C10? Were you lucky to have the hardware inside for the Waveform Generator?
October 2021 but I had already read some comments at the beginning of 2021 that some dso2c10 had the built-in function generator. so when I bought it I tried if I was lucky enough to have the built-in function generator
It’s been 1 year since this video and I think there have been more updates. Are the problems still there or have they been solved?
When do you need the function generator? To calibrate tape decks by generating test tones?
@@TechCornerTV can it really generate test tones, say 20 mhz tone?

At this moment no help at all, their after sale sucks.

try to get measures using the same probe used in Rigol , maybe the hantek probe cable is no good and has some loses...or internal probe circuit is no good, and maybe is needed do the scope calibration

Installing radiators on both IC inside is highly recommended

David's Life has a video on how to update the FPGA firmware and the system software.
Hi, I agree with you in all the points mentioned. It just cents to have a much better product. Thanks for watching!

Could it be the probes (noob question) on the Hantek for the voltage ?
HI! Well no very probable, but maybe. Hi Jay, what is your budget for a bench DMM? I can give a look, they're a bit expensive and there is so many models, it is a moody topic to review 😁 once you start you're stuck in it, because of compare between models and so on... but tell me what you want and can tell what I think it will be a nice solution. My first scope was a hantek dso5102p and the waveforms were so noisy.

But you can freely update or roll back any FW between 3200 and 3204.

its very well...
Greetings from Germany
huh - how about you use a waveform rather than a voltage with all that noise you have on there - it's no wonder you cant get real mv measurements
Hi, I have a lot of videos on this oscilloscope, only tested here the things that failed in the previous ones. Thanks for your input and for watching!
The Hantek scope is very bad Garbage......its like a part of shit under the shoe.....
Hi Thomas, yeah it has it's faults... as in everything, you get what you pay. Thanks for watching!
Firmware 3202 is available here drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zkAqvDn6UDBTOO_Gn8PdpKIvkkH3tcpz
Hey J J, thank you for this tip! Have you tried this "low level" firmware upgrade? Thanks for watching and for you input! 👍
