      I avoid ALL social media sites, I'm 70, and I've found that people that spend their lives on social media must not have friends that are real (someone you can touch), get away from social media sites, get out and become a part of the real world. If you hustle, you may find you like it more than having a social media site stuck in your face 24/7.

      @@jumpercable20 No need for anyone to "stick one's face" into social media 24/7. But, what about people who are shut-ins, homebound, even bedbound with disabilities? Since they cannot "get out and hustle" should they forgo the friends they've made online... REAL friends who oftentimes are more real than face-to-face friends and family who are simply too busy, with life and work, to visit people who cannot get out anymore. God forbid, one day you might come to understand this, and if you get to where you can no longer get out and hustle you might wish you had online friends you could interact with and enjoy their company.

    To the *incredible person* that's seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

Be mindful of who you spend time with and the music you listen to. It can be like bathing in water, watch the quality!

    Isn't dopamine the pleasure hormone and serotonin the happiness hormone? I heard its important to understand the difference because pleasure is derived from addictive chemicals, and food, its our reward system. Its important to motivate but doesn't guarantee happiness. Serotonin is happiness, when you are satisfied with your life and don't need more. Contentment. Its achieved by living a better life and finding happiness through relationships, charity, gratitude and an appreciation of nature. I may be wrong, just how I understand it.

    • @asfaltasfalt1

      You are correct… I have studied dopamine and serotonin for years. Dopamine is NOT something you want to enhance. Serotonin is. Too much dopamine causes alot of problems. Dopamine spikes cortisol which is the stress hormone and serotonin does not. Dopamine tells your brain I like this and I need more. Serotonin tells your brain I like this but I do not need more. Dopamine is addictive but serotonin is not.

    Dopamine isn’t the happy hormone it is only responsible for a good feeling before/ after a task is completed

    • @kristinaveirum
      @kristinaveirum 2 роки тому +6

      Dopamine and serotonin are both neurotransmitters and both are also considered the “happy hormones,” as they both play a role in positive mood and emotion. Serotonin is associated with happiness, focus and calmness. Dopamine is associated with rewards and motivation. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that acts like a hormone. Actually several of the things on the list to produce Dopamine also produces Serotonin which is most associated with happiness which is the best to stimulate, but there’s some other needed things you have to do, and I think you should look up Serotonin because it’s important for other things health wise. If you do some of the same tasks and takes supplements you get the best of both worlds. I started nurturing both for about a year ago and I’ve never felt better… Happier, more positive, more energized more confident and also courageous. I wish everybody could have it like that because you also feel fulfilled. I’m sorry for the long rant I just gave you but I just wanted to share it. Hope I didn’t bother you.

      This is a better way of looking at it. It is what we know we will receive when we deserve it too. I deserve most of the depression I put myself in because I give into laziness. Some people want to blame it entirely on a chemical or whatever. Nah. There’s many people who stay miserable and depressed by choice sometimes, it’s pretty sad.

    • @yogisage7157
      @yogisage7157 Рік тому +6

      You want to increase natural dopamine production in the brain but reduce dopamine intake through substances. For example nicotine releases a lot of dopamine but it’s not natural and will destroy the natural receptors, meditation and staying away from social media for example increases dopamine levels while keeping your dopamine receptors in the brain vibrant and in tact thus avoiding dopamine deficiency.
      You want high dopamine with good receptors but often times people get caught in the trap of high dopamine ruining receptors making them dependent on a substance or thing for that Same pleasure. Kinda confusing but I’m sure you understand what I’m saying

    It is written:Therefore, beloved, being warned of this, beware lest ye fall into the error of the wicked, and fall from your affirmation. 2Petrovo 3-17Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7-15
    "And I saw another angel fly in heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people. And he said with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour is come when he will judge; and worship the One who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water. And another angel, a second, followed him, saying, The great Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that made all nations drink of the wine of her fornication. And another, a third angel, followed them, saying in a loud voice, If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he will drink of the wine of God's wrath, which is prepared pure in the cup of his wrath; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment shall be for ever and ever; and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, or anyone who accepts the mark of his name. This requires the patience of the saints, those who keep God's commandments, and faith in Jesus ”(Rev. 14: 6-12). And yet, it is written: Fear God and repay Him Glory, for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship the One who made it heaven, earth, sea, and springs of water. ”- Revelation 14: 6, 7. It is written: John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And he who rejects the gift of salvation is written: Revelation 14:10 He also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared pure in the cup of His wrath, and will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And it is also written: For there is nothing secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.Luke 8:17. This world is going away and if you want to be saved, give glory to your Creator, repent! And this is the golden verse of the Bible:For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16. Ecclesiastes 12 - 13.14Let us hear the end of the whole word: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is all for man;14 For every hidden thing, God will bring to justice every deed, whether good or evil. Luke 6:31- And as you desire men to do unto you, so do ye to them. God bless you!

      Fear did NOT open me to God. Father God knew we could not be sinless in thought, word or deed. So He sent His Son, who became sin for us, paid our debts. Accepting this gift (Jesus) is by GRACE (undeserved and unearned favor) and gives us eternal life and a relationship with God.

      I have recovered from alcohol addiction and gambling addiction and It’s like there is no dopamine in my brain. I even have tried to drink a few times to help feel something good but it doesn’t feel good anymore, I don’t even like watching T.V anymore. I wish recovering from addiction would have helped me, I am glad for those that have been able to find that method to work.

      @@brodog1884 i have helped many people like you. You probably have anhedonia meaning you cant feel pleasure from music, food, tv, sex etc. Like you mentioned. Most important thing you can do is to try to make your brain have BDNF which means regeneration of new brain cells, like dopamine neurons. Almost only thing that really does it is constant aerobic exercise. The more often the better. Hope this helps.

    Listen to music? A lot of information was valuable, and some of it was actually the opposite. Music is not natural source of dopamine, if you've really set out to break the stimulation slavery and be more in the natural pleasures or be normally stimulated, then music is a no no!

      When we feel down / empty for long periods of time it becomes imprinted on us as a personality trait and then feels like that's it but soon enough you will find something to light your brain and gut chemicals up again and you will be reminded that it's just a rough patch and not who you actually are. We can all be happy and we all deserve to be. Except Andrew Tate and Hitler maybe!!

      @@ami2evil I’m doing very well. It does get better even though it feels like it will not. As time goes goes on, some symptoms will go away and some will take more time but you’ve got this. We do heal, it just takes a long time. My personality has changed. It seems like what others find funny, I seem to find immature. I don’t laugh much anymore. I can no longer sit long enough to watch a 30 minute sitcom, I have found tv to be below my standards where as before, I was able to watch it. I lose interest in things much more quickly now. I’m not the same but at the same time, I’m better off than I was on benzos. They are still writing scripts for them.

    first of all.. ghank you for such a great n helpful video!
    now.. I have severe depression and stopped my medication a while ago noe. Today my average dopamine is so low that since I stopped going to work I've been sitting at home in my apartment most of the time doing absolutely nothing. today i am scrolling through youtube unsuspectingly and see this video. at first i didn't even have enough dopamine to click and watch this video. but I don't regret forcing me to. this video showed me how unhealthy I even was with myself! these ways of stimulating dopamine release are simple tasks which help you more than you think. look after your health, children!
    edit: (ik its not that easy in the beginning but meditating would help EVERYONE „reload“ their dopamine! and also doing your fav hobbies such as any kind of sports, creating art or playing games, also helps to keep yourself motivated! for me its the music that helps me to escape that „tiredness“.

Thank you for this video & the awesomely applicable suggestions for improving our states of mind. And for the education of what dopamine has to do with it all! Very insightful & uplifting! Think I'm gonna apply the music Intel you offered in this video, and listen to some of my favorites, right now! Seems so simple, but yet it's so sophisticated as well. Rock on & peace out everyone 😎💜🌍☮️🌈
