yeah matt looked kind of dead here i agree, and his vocals are pretty lackluster, i know this probably is not an easy song to sing but still.....his voice had not fully recovered at this point probably. i hear his voice now is almost fully recovered from when he blew it out a couple years ago....
So I don’t remember exactly why but why did Trivium change from this drummer? Cause after this they went with Paul Wantke who was great and now they’re with the drumming android Alex Bent
From what they've said and implied in interviews it seemed Wantke was spread thin with various projects and wasn't into dedicating 100% to Trivium as Matt, Corey and Paolo have been doing. They wanted to rehearse a lot, they all practice a tonne daily, and Paul wasn't doing the same. Same story with Mat Madiro and Nick Augusto, seems to be a discipline issue. Also they've said that the reason Silence in the Snow was so "simple" compared to Shogun and their more technical stuff was that Madiro couldn't play on that level, and watching Wantke play Shogun stuff it's clear he struggled with it too. So they wanted someone who could do it all and who had the discipline to line up with theirs, and landed on Alex.
The reasons for their drummer changes are mostly internal, that it didn’t work out with the rest of the band, never about the technical ability i don’t think
I was at this show in 2015. They had technical issues for like a good half of their set, it was pretty tragic tbh. The sound was definitely off for their set and i think thats why their actual stage performance was somewhat lacking. i came here to see what corey specifically plays in the bridge section but he didnt even play it on this show lol off i f*ck to another live video. ive looked at tabs, they contradict one another hence the video combing.
Joseph Benham oh yes, I saw them in March. I was standing in the second row in front of Paolo. All of them seemed to really enjoy themselves. I caught Matt's guitar pick, but unfortunately my hands were extremely sweaty, and I instantly dropped it. Someone else picked it up. The next day I had sore throat because of screaming along, sore ribs because of moshing, headache because of lack of sleep, sore feet because when we were jumping, we weren't really looking where do we land, sore neck because of headbanging too much and sore nose because I hit it against the barrier while headbanging. That would be very embarrassing, if someone actually heard it. And yes, my hearing only recovered in three days after the show.
@@pandaco8127 Yeah. His "technique" was awful. He just screamed as hard as he could. In 2013 (I think) he blew his vocal cords during a tour. Then he had to re-learn how to sing. Nowadays his vocals are almost fully recovered from this incident.
Calob Parker-main woah have you heard the sin and the sentence bro I know BFMV is coming out with a new album but I’m pretty sure it won’t be heavier than trivium new album
Saf MEX yes homie and i love the sin and the sentence album. Bullets new record is gonna be super fucking heavy dude i can just tell matts voice is fucking better than ever man. I have a feeling its gonna blow minds
Paolo's bass tone is so killer
Triviums ages like fine wine. I really like how they played and sound live with this song
No they didn't. This has nothing on the album version
Sounds like matt has been listening to some volbeat lately
they were on tour with them when i saw them live in 2014 sooo
Paolo’s backing vocals though
I felt that Corey should've played the high harmony for the solo. The lower harmony for the verse kinda works well live though
exactly!!!
Yeah i prefer the high harmony. It’s super nostalgic for some reason
I think the high harmony used before is nostalgic, the lower harmony using now is more badass
it will always be "jallows built for me" in my heart Matt :)
Love this song
Scorpionbite8 whoa a knights fan
This mix sounds immense with headphones on.
chunky bass
Yeah! Though the same
Paolos masterclass as per 😍😍😍
such a great band
a legend song , bad fuckin' ass
I'm wearing thin
Wearing out, becoming weak
Holding hands with this rope

Bleeding disease
The thing that makes it hard to breathe
But if I shoved you far away
This addict just starved again asphyxiated
And now I see it's you that's tearing me (ensnaring me)
This is me dying in your arms
I cut you out, now set me free
Lynched high above what used to be
In her gallows built for me
So I escaped, cut this noose around my
Neck, I break free to see the things you blinded me

I cut you out, now set me free
And now I see it's you that's tearing me (ensnaring me)
This is me dying in your arms
I cut you out, now set me free
You poisoned my life
So I take this knife
And I cut you out
Cut you out
And now I see it's you that's tearing me (ensnaring me)
This is me dying in your arms
I cut you out, now set me free
And now I see it's you that's tearing me (ensnaring me)

Holy god that snare
awesome performance
try this in 0.75x
Fuckin' brilliant!
the crowd looks dead
+JameX Martinez Ugaz I was there in the pits man, and trust me, the crowd was anything but dead!
Matt looks fucking dead
yeah matt looked kind of dead here i agree, and his vocals are pretty lackluster, i know this probably is not an easy song to sing but still.....his voice had not fully recovered at this point probably. i hear his voice now is almost fully recovered from when he blew it out a couple years ago....
THE GUITAR MIX THOOOOO
I miss the singer’s voice in 2005 ,if the guitarist doesn’t growl ,the singer doesn’t appear :(

Daniel Murphy I think they landed on the right guy. He looks like even their Shogun stuff isn’t challenging. Hope Alex stays

@@queensinthesky yeh agree - u can hear Mat playing this drum fill here and it sounds horrendous 1:39-1:43
Where’s the passion? A silent and practically still crowd and Matt sounds like he’s not slept for the past 58 hours.
Maybe he hasn t. Being a musician really ain t an easy job
Trivium putos amos🤟
This is a killer mix possibly a better than the album mix
holy shit, they play the lead part so much lower than original
It’s because they now tune down to C# or C I think
@@whyisyes3957 c#
like 10 steps lower than studio version wtf
are you stoned, it's half a step lower :P
Waldo Torres age factor
Waldo Torres Sounds lower because corey plays the low harmonies and it's already a half step lower
Aerology Guitars Corey does the growls man
BlapDuck Yeah?? ok? kind of obvious
Вот только сейчас понял насколько Паоло необходим. И бас вкусный и бэки делает
I didnt know Matt Stonie started a band!

Что у него с голосом 😀
со времён ин вейвса испорчен
great song! but why they sounds like crap ?? is it their axe fx preset or what??
They don't use axe fx anymore, it's all kemper and corey's is turned up higher and matt blends with paulo...
corey is the most humble guy in metal genre..
I love Trivium but all the most recent videos I've seen of them live seem like Matt is just bored anymore... it's kinda depressing.
Luke Hiler nah these are from 2015 - saw them live in February of this year and e was going fucking crazy, he was loving it
Joseph Benham that's good to know
Joseph Benham oh yes, I saw them in March. I was standing in the second row in front of Paolo. All of them seemed to really enjoy themselves. I caught Matt's guitar pick, but unfortunately my hands were extremely sweaty, and I instantly dropped it. Someone else picked it up.

He better put some guitar in his monitor, he is farther away from the pitch than Saskatchewan is from Florida
Are we talking about MH's vocals? Are we listening to the same performance? In live terms, this is a pretty solid all-around vocal performance.
Drop C# rather than drop D, its only half step down
The lighting programmer sucks . He didnt nothing to help the song ,he did nothing and that mades the song were so bored
ikr? he sucks
Matt voices sound like a "pop singer" :(
What freakin pop singer has anywhere near the manly voice Matt has? Come on, terrible comparison.
How does clearer vocals = pop singer?
He's saying his voice isn't as strong anymore, I think.
Dunno if this is correct, but in Loudwire interview he explains for years he was screaming wrong and pretty much fucked his voice up doing so.
@@pandaco8127 Yeah. His "technique" was awful. He just screamed as hard as he could. In 2013 (I think) he blew his vocal cords during a tour. Then he had to re-learn how to sing. Nowadays his vocals are almost fully recovered from this incident.
Low harmonies for matts pop/volbeat voice. Wtf its wrong with you guys? This is really hard to listen.
slipknot beer keg type snare tone lol
Love the song. This performance is shockingly bad
trivium and bfmv really sounds like each other
Nicky Emmeralofficial Not at all....
Dude you smoke to much slow down a bit. Bullets heavier
@Calob Parker-main maybe if you compare their 2015 albums, triviums always been heavier
Calob Parker-main woah have you heard the sin and the sentence bro I know BFMV is coming out with a new album but I’m pretty sure it won’t be heavier than trivium new album

Stepped down than record and Heafy still can’t hit those notes… beyond disappointing
Type O Negative cover
Vivian Stanshall huh
Damn, they sound bad
wow this is mega cringe, why is he singing so high but is gruff in the record track lol
wow the vocals sucks
no they don't
he actually is singing within his range. the record has him straining.
@@kyriakosstamataros4160 yes it does, this isn't even the same song
Matts voice is nice here
as is generally what happens after you blow your voice out, be thankful for the years we got
