The avocado bread sounded good, however the $0.85/avocado for one bread made me think twice and passed on by. I’ll try this, like cottage cheese and not so expensive.

Have you tried chaffles? They are more like buns or bread and extremely versatile. If one needs to adjust 'egginess', just substitute with egg whites, 3 tablespoons of egg whites equals 1 egg. I usually buy a carton of organic pasture raised egg whites (less inflammatory), and measure from there. I live in Tennessee, if you see my big white Suburban the tag is KETO ON. Yes I am a type II diabetic, on keto and carnivore diets last 5 years (with holiday and vacation cheats) my A1C has been 5.2 to 5.4, THE LAST 5 YEARS. High blood sugar destroys body and shortens life span and quality of life. If one can quit 1 thing, eliminate vegetable and seed oils, avocado and olive oil are fine, those are natural. Animal fats are even better. Read the Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz.

I'mHi Did you ever make canned chicken pizza crust? You can use 1 can of chicken drained or fresh made chicken shredded, add shredded parmesan cheese or 1 package of shredded Italian blend cheese, spices of your choice , one egg or substitute egg with cottage cheese drained or something to bind the crust together, spread out mixture on parchment paper on a cookie sheet, flatten mixture like a pizza crust, preheat oven 350 bake for 10 minutes till crust is no longer moist,leave crust cool 10 minutes, add any toppings you like and bake for 10 more minutes at 350 till toppings are heated or just eat the chicken crust plain or with any cold toppings you like. Delicious!

Marshall, I just love how you support your wife in a life changing way.. I agree everything is laden with sugar, no more oils , or fried food. Beef tallow and real butter is what I use.. Instead of Mayo, I sub it with avocado.. I myself have cut out ALOT of things that I was eating.. I love to cook everything from scratch. So far I have done well.. had skin issues and now it is clearing up. I also miss your mom.. I have been a sub for a long while... God Bless you and TY for the fantastic recipes...
Rice, potatos, pasta, grains all turn to sugar…Suzy Cohen has a great book called Diabetes without drugs…it’s wonderful. I went on a keto lifestyle 3 years ago..a wonderful journey..lost 30 pounds..gluten and wheat are thorns for many..my father had gluten ataxia..a brain genetic marker..which passed on to me. Bread was slowly killing me, so I had to make a drastic change in eating habits. We are what we eat.
The sad truth is that we T2 diabetics had the disease for years before we were diagnosed. I remember going to a doctor when I was 38 years old and he was concerned about my slightly elevated blood pressure. While there he said your blood sugar is a little high but nothing to worry about right now. Yes it was something I should have been concerned about. I was diagnosed as a T2 at age 54.
@@CountryBoyCookingwithMarshall . .... very long story......so I added onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, yeast for taste, and butter flavor bakery emulsion to the mix 1 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 3 egg mix in my Nutribullet. Then added that to 80 g bamboo fiber 20 g psyllium husk. It was like a very very sticky dough that I left rest in the microwave for 30min. Had to grease parchment for spreading both top and bottom to fit my large pizza pan....very sticky. Baked for 20 minutes on 375 . It baked like a fluffy flatbread. Then I removed it from the oven to cool before applying toppings. It is back in the oven on 420 for 35 minutes. Have not tasted it yet....but so far looking very promising.

That looks yummy. Wheat is off my consume list (it makes me itch) and eggs are off, as well, since I have a very hard time digesting them, so I'm always on the look out for alternate "breads." Sadly, like these, most use eggs, so my go to breads are flatbreads made of oat or barley flour, mixed with ground flax and whatever seasoning I choose. Not great for BLTs but awfully nice, nonetheless. God bless you! :)

Yes your right sugar is in everything. Sugar is inflammatory for our bodies.
