My Dad was D-day +3 (3 days after the initial landing) and was in the Battle of Aachen. One of his friends was over the house and we were having some drinks. This was just before I shipped out to S.E. Asia. He told me that this was the worst fighting that they experienced in the whole War, worse than the hedge-rows in France, Belgium and Holland. I'm 74 and still remember this conversation around the dining room table.
Not a single battle on the Western Front can be compared with the battles on the Eastern Front (the Germans themselves talked about this). If it was hell for you, then what did Soviet soldiers have to experience for a common victory over the Nazis?
Hello everybody, I wish you are fine and healthy !!! Finally, the battle of Aachen is here !!! Get your gear and come with me in battle ⚔⚔⚔ As I saw, many of the machinima lovers are asking how I make the AI soldiers moving like that. The answer is simple, every single AI character or vehicle you see, is unitCaptured or animated via cutscenes, nothing more nothing less. But the real deal, the thing that you need to emphasize more, is the environment, the battle space. This is the half of the movie, do not ignore it. PS. Don't forget one thing. The machinima may be a little bit short but there is only one guy working on it. Scripting, animating, sound designing, editing, everything, just one f guy 🥵
Thanks man, great job as always. Two ideas for the next ones: 1) Battle of Hürtgen Forest (1944) and 2) Keren (1941). Keep up the good work! Wish you all the best and health.
After only recently diving into machinima/cinematics myself, have to say, I have even more respect for what you and other machinima makers put out there. The "set design" is a job on its own as is the basic organising of shots/scenes/sequences.... wether that be through layers, timelines or even seperate mission files. Anyway, Fantastic work as always! the MG opening up on the infantry around the tank was just....*chef kiss.
The one thing I LOVED about this is the room clearing techniques the US uses. Don’t know how accurate they are but the fact you included that detail really sells how desperate the fighting was!
The reason why i love this channel is because they are not afraid to show America get their asses kicked by their opponents and show that they are not always at their best. Just realism of what really happened.
This is not realism, America won the Battle of Aachen, the Germans surrendered. There were a total of 5000 casualties on both sides. Someone doesn't know or understand history. 😂
We have come to expect a high quality creation from Flawless but, I have to admit the sound effects in this video are so far above and beyond what we expected. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
@@carabus0354 more likely from warthunder(tank crew) and the other more likely not from company heroes but like men of war or similar game. Edit: Because Company Heroes game does not use other language. They only use english.
In less than 10 minutes you've captured the essence of that intense action and desperation. I love how contrasted both sides are at this point of the war. The US forces here already have gone through so much fighting. Most likely having been veterans of battles in North Africa, Italy, Normandy and now they're in Germany. They're so effective in taking out the enemy, clearing streets and rooms with almost relative ease and applying a more tactical approach. I love how you've shown the overwhelming firepower they also possess in the forms of sheer volume of automatic fire and the use of those Sherman tanks to hammer away MG42 nests. Then on the other side are the Germans, still clinging on to whatever street corner and building they can, having to use the Volksturm Militia to fill in their ranks and fighting til the last holdout is silenced but still fighting just as ferociously til the bitter end. It's no wonder they call Aachen the American version of Stalingrad. Amazing work as always. The cinematography and pacing is so well done.
I can see your works improving a lot in this one compared to your previous works. Especially with how the soldiers move, they seem more realistic and possess more emotions in them. Great work man, looking forward to future videos!
This is just a masterpiece. From beginning to end just spectacular. Your attention to detail, your storytelling, camera angles, animations, sounds looks and feel that it was produced by a team of highly skilled individuals. This is a fantastic video, I am never disappointed and always left wanting more. Keep the videos coming!
I confirm Machinima is an Art ! I appreciate the realistic position of soldiers, the fast and sometimes needed more slow step from scenario, the logical combination of different combat scenes : very well done fellow ! we believe to be in the battle ! thanks for sharing : )
Thanks for this animation. Im german and was born (and still live) in Aachen. In the city, there is not much you can see. But if you go to the forest, especially the Aachener Wald and Hürtenwald (westwall), you can still find old Bunkers and anti tank barriers (Höckerlinien). People sometimes also find ammunition. And although this has nothing to do with ww2 but for the feeling, Aachen is for now the only place in Germany where you can visit nearly 5 old tanks in the Brander Wald. It was a Bundeswehr military training area but scince 2015 they moved to a different place and dont use it anymore. The tanks you can find are some M47 Pattons and one M41 Walker Bulldog.
WOW! That was a real battle, continuous action, not no game. Excellent graphic presentation. thanks................ .Whew! That was so mean fighting there.
Fighting in close up urban areas is always very bloody and terrifying. Max respect to those who fought in these battles. Great animation and sound effects. Did I noticed some of the german soildiers are using AK-47?
I love the video man. I got some more Machinima ideas: Battle of Fallujah, Tarawa Atoll, Battle for Manila, Operation Varsity, Battle for Cassino, Operation Chromite.
I know you made a video on Stalingrad but I would love to see Pavlov's house, or Red October Factory. I'm very fascinated with the history of Stalingrad.
FWG, you keep up the good work, just take your time don't rush, this one was so close to WWll realistic, looking forward to seeing next WW3 in Europe or in America.
Velmi dobré video, velmi realistické, lepší jak většina filmů. Stejně tak další podobná videa jako třeba Caen, Carentan a tohle také. PS: Kdo je tu další Čech, kdo miluje tuhle českou hru a sleduje tato videa?

Same with my grandpa he was on D-day but he was in the Canadian army in WW2

don't push yourself too hard, I will always wait for your new videos, stay healthy
I think you need at least one or two more people to work with you or something. Solo-ing the entire thing sounds unhealthy, man.
Do not work yourself too death brother. We will wait patiently for every video you drop. Your health comes first.

Yeah !!!
never mind basically all the sound effects are from cod2 the way this plays out reminds me so much of cod2 and its mission layouts. love it
Why not? Getting COD2 vibes means that my machinima was a success 🙏
Some parts of it were from cod 1 actually. But sure there were some cod 2 sound fx too.
Excellent depiction of what it was really like during combat. Well done!
Holy shit that was Band of Brothers level of realism there! Brutal is an unbiased way.
A lot of effort was put into this video, great job!
This is a piece of art
i just realized i was never subscribed to you so i subscribed to you
I honestly would watch your videos any day than 90% of what Hollywood makes.

Did I noticed some of the german soildiers are using AK-47?
The weapon looking like AK47 is the famous STG44. The first assault rifle produced by Germany during the WW2.
Stormguveir 44
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the help buddy ❤🙏
WE NEED A FULL FILM...............JUST OUTSTANDING CONGRATULATIONS
