Literally every government on the planet, everyone taking money from the tax payers, in usa, you have to pay 30% of your salary on top of indirect taxes and a 10-22% tips for every service you use. After living there for few years, i got new found respect for the Indian tax system, atleast they only ask for 8-10% of your income as a direct tax and 5-18% indirect taxes for the service with a relatively better health care (in US, even after paying high insurance premiums, you will still have to pay lot of money, even for basic care), the food? Don't get me started on this topic, everything is super processed, even a Apple that looks like 🍎, tastes like a tomato.

Bharat Benz (Daimler-Benz) makes modern trucks but the reason why I don't discuss them is their low market share at 9% only, which grew by 2.3% last year..
I only considered the top 5 makers.

Beauty is least priority of a trucker in India. Our point of view is different than a real trucker. Companies build based on trucker purchasing power and requirements. This might be one of the reason.

The foreign countries that we are praising are just burning 10 times the diesel by using Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Freightliner, Scania etc. to move the load which we move using a Tata 407 in India......

One good reason is that, the existing body builders don't have any incentive to modify their production methods. I follow a channel called "Gill Body Builders" and have raised this query to them countless times. Not only did they did not bother to respond once, but also never addressed many of the other people that were raising the same issue. A lot of these truck body builders are located in Punjab, and if you know anything about that lot, is that - they hate change, even if it means compromising safety, security and standards (farm laws anyone?). For example, the split front facing visor creates blind spots for the truck drivers, not to mention the massive pillars that obstruct surrounding visibility.
I'll also equally hold south truck body builders responsible here. They too have failed to make any change to their production methods, but at least most of the Southern trucking industry seems to be moving towards OEM built cabs.

@@ARDwheels One way to counter that would be to just eat up the cabin cost in the manufacturing process. If a Truck has an OEM cabin that offers better comfort for a fraction of the price of what it would cost to buy the cowl variant, then I think that most large scale truck operators would just prefer that in place of sending the truck 1000's of miles to get it built. The manufacturers would of course need to make up some of that cost during after sales or in spares, but I think that's a worthwhile trade to make Indian trucking look less like its stuck in the 1900's and bring it up to date.
Because they do the job and make profits, what else you want? 😂

Mahindra is not a big player of these big body on frame trucks in india, they only have some significant share in small trucks, the trucks you discussed about in the video are big body on frame trucks, in which mahindra is NOT in the top manufacturers, in that Tata, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, Volvo and Bharatbenz are the top manufacturers.......

Some operators just remove the old body work off the old trucks and replace the drive train with new BS6+ ones.. So the truck or bus might look old from outside but are new in the heart..
