Also, as you sell to enjoy monster romance, let me shamelessly pitch my current buddy read as a recommendation for you: „A Bone In His Teath“ by Kellen Graves. It’s a LGBTQ+ monster romance with a horror-ish touch to it, features the merfolk (sirens/merrows), has great character dynamics (even tho the pacing made me stumble a little in the beginning), very rich atmosphere and the author has a way with words that’s just delicious. I‘m reading it with a friend and we’re currently around the 60% mark - so I can’t speak from a „finished“ POV. But so far the book has not let us down!
