Yo Jay, I'm guessing you've probably seen it, but if you haven't, Norm's video on Tetris is quite an eye-opener of what Tetris really did to quell the conflict in US-Soviet relations. Not to mention, those animatics to fill in the blanks help a lot to make you care more about these situations. :P I'm mostly guessing you've seen it since Norm has been on the show and I assume you guys watch The Gaming Historian. Love the Tiger Heli inclusion. That game is underrated and so fun. I would sometimes play it for hours. It was challenging without being that difficult where you would throw the controller down or something...lol....you guys know what I mean. It would let you just fly for awhile and relax a little bit at times. Great pacing. The only problem with it is you couldn't really beat it... it would just keep going which was lame. I would have included it in the NES Classic instead of Gradius but hey...that's just me. Also, I agree about Kung Fu. It is simple but it's very, very fun. 30 Minutes well spent.A true classic. Also belonged on NES Classic.

Man, I don't know if I can even name 20 games that I played on the NES. Though, the NES was where I started as a very small child, The SNES and Sega Genesis is where I really became a gamer. Let's see how many games I can name (that I played on the NES) off the top of my head.
    1. Ninja Gaiden 2
    2. Super Mario Bros.
    3. Super Mario Bros. 3
    4. Batman
    5. Double Dragon
    6. Double Dragon 2
    7. Top Gun
    8. Metal Gear
    9. Duck Hunt
Well, that's about all I can think of. I'm sure I've played more. Off to google to see if I can jog my memory.
    10. Tetris (don't know how I forgot this one.)
    11. Castlvania
    12. Ducktales
    13. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    14. Dr. Mario
    15. Donkey Kong
    16. Bad Dudes
    17. Battle toads and Double Dragon (for some reason I thought this was a SNES game.)
Well, that seems to be all the games that I can remember playing on NES even with google helping to jog my memory. Games like Ninja Gaiden 1 and 3 or Super Mario 2 are games that I actually played on the SNES with the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy and Super Mario All Stars cartridges, so I can't really count those.

Kung fu is supposed to be the game of a movie called "Spartan X" a Jackie Chan movie. In Japan it had a sequel that is not bad but a little too easy. In some old chinese multicarts you can find the japanese version of the game, that as far as i know only has a different title.
The version of tetris i like the most is the Tengen version, maybe because is the one i grew up with. The chinese made a lot and i mean A LOT of copies of that game so its pretty easy to find in that form or in multicarts.

The only game I would play and own in this video is Tetris. I'm sure the other games are good but graphically they haven't aged well. I personally prefer the SNES's 16 bit graphics over the NES's 8 bit graphic's but that's just me. Also since I'm going to get some hate for this comment I know gameplay is more important than graphics.

20.) Bases Loaded II - I don't really have any interest to play it. I think the only baseball game that I really enjoyed was the first Ken Griffey Jr Baseball for the snes. i was more of hockey fan when it came to playing sports and playing sports video games.
19.) Ninja Gaiden - A game that I played a lot when I was a kid, but I would love to beat this sucker one of those days. I could never get very far in this game.
18.) Rygar - I could never get into rygar to be perfectly honest. I played it a bit on a playchoice arcade 10 machine in an old arcade back in the day, but I would always pass on this game if I had an opportunity to rent it.
17.) River City Ransom - Even to this day, I still never sat down and actually played this for the first time.
16.) Super Tecmo Bowl - I never played a football game in my entire life, and despite all the critical acclaim this game has, I still have no interest in playing it.
15.) Kung Fu - I have played/beaten this game but its been such a long time since I actually played it. I'm overdue to give this game another try.
14.) Snow Bros. - I have played the arcade version of this game, but I have never played the nes version of this game yet.
13.) Tiger Heli - I have never played this game before. I never even knew it was a shoot'em up to be honest. I was always thought it was a flight sim game like airwolf, but I'll have to give this one a try when i get free time to play it.
12.) Castelvania - I have played/beaten/completed this game and it is now permanently retired. Its not my favourite castlevania entry for the nes, but I recognize the importance and greatness of this game and I do love the spike in difficult that this game has especially for the hallway of death.
11.) Tetris - I was more of a dr mario fan over tetris but i still love this game for its importance to video gaming in general and every gamer has had to play tetris once because its one of the most easily accessible games out there.
Your first ten games is really interesting list because you've covered some stables but you've looked at some games that don't get a lot of mention and all the power to you for doing so.

Whachu talkin' bout Jay? That "Nasty Digitized 8-bit" bleeps and bloops on NES was bad ass! No, not ALL NES games had good music, but some of the best game soundtracks of all time come from NES. And honestly, I personally prefer the NES sounds and music bleeps, over say, TG16, Genesis, or even SNES sounds.

Green Lantern HG after you beat #3, u should reward yourself and play Ninja Gaiden on the Sega Master System. It's original, beautiful, fast, controls great, new enemies and mechanics, but i recommend it as a reward due to how easy it is. It should be fun to breeze through a Ninja Gaiden game after conquering the balls hard versions.
