Kman Let me be bold. You're idiots, no JW would tell you this. For this same reason Jesus stayed silent when question before his death are the reason they stay quiet. It's like being a trumpet, it matters not what you tell them about trump, they'll refuse to listen to truth. In much the same way the true Christian don't bother saying anything to prevent an argument

Hey Doe Boy...Your rationale is equal to that of a grade schooler at best. Also, you're making ASSumptions that you (JWs) hold the truth as if you've got a corner on the market & some insider info. FIRST you bloviate about who knows what (senseless nonsense)...THEN you move on to a statement about Donald Trump is it(?), and THEN you close out with a statement that is utterly absent from any truth whatsoever when you "suggest" that a "TRUE" Christian won't (it's not "DON'T" by the way) bother to say anything to prevent an argument? I know you feel insulted by what I just said but tell ya what...forget the reply unless you feel compelled to stroke your tiny ego a bit, because I won't even view your response, let alone reply to it.

Puts the JW's in the same light as the Catholics they criticize so often. Actually there is one difference, the Pope at least admitted the wrong doing and formally apologized to the victims ( not that it matters anyways because god didn't do anything to protect the children). But the JW's attitude is prideful and a "it's not our fault" demeanor.

You missed something. JW Counsel, discipline, remove as elders and disfellowship unrepentant child molesters. The Catholics church did not Counsel, discipline or remove priests. They just moved them to another Parish where they continued the abuse.
The parents always had the right to report to the authorities. I assume they did not want to subject the child to having to repeat and be cross examined and having to appear and testify to the details of the abuse in open court. That would be very traumatic as well. There is no easy answer.

@@dinahkruppa913 There is so much bullshit in your comment I don’t even know where to begin. Lets see….. most of the pedos ARE your elders, they have their SECRET rulebook so they KNOW what they can get away with. They do shift to other congregations BY the organization itself to avoid “bringing reproach on jehovahs name”. The parents are told this too so they are mentally tied down and it continues. Ofcourse I could go on and on about this evil demonic led organization but you are simply brainwashed to the point you cannot even think for yourself. Geoffrey Jackson: Ah, that I think would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the only spokesperson god is using.
Watchtower 2001 Jun 1 p.16: "Is it presumptuous of Jehovah's Witnesses to point out that they alone have God's backing? Actually, no more so than when the Israelites in Egypt claimed to have God's backing in spite of the Egyptians' belief, or when the first-century Christians claimed to have God's backing to the exclusion of Jewish religionists."

@@k-birdiebear3831 A. he's lying when he says you have freedom to leave the organization. You simply do not. You are either in or out and if you are out they will make a public declaration that you are dissociated and hence no one can talk to you -- He denied that yet it is 100% true. B. When he said it's presumptuous to say that they are not Jehovah God's spokes person on earth, that means, they do not have the right or authority to make the claim that they are guided or speak for Jehovah God, yet every magazine and book you have says that they are the only "channel" to Jehovah God that Jehovah God has approved them and directs them. So if what he says is true then the articles and books where they say that, which he is apart of assembling and distributing, is lying to you based on his testimonial in court. If it was true and since there are scriptures saying that you would be taken before courts to give an account and defend Jehovah, why would you deny that Jehovah is speaking through you, one would think that you'd be proud to have the "truth" and proclaim it boldly in public just like he tells his followers to do. Thats pretty much dancing friend... And when he's presented with conflicting scriptures (Deut 22:22-27 which states that a women that is raped without a witness has valid testimony without a second witness it begs the question, is it only women? why not teenagers and children when they get raped? Where is the scripture that backs that duplicity? What should really shock you is April 1st 1979 watchtower (questions from the readers) in which the GB tells you that you are not a part of the "New Covenant" (only they are) and that Jesus is NOT your mediator and that anything you get from Jesus comes from your friendship with the governing body. So they have placed themselves in between you and Jesus and you have to go through them for life, even though Jesus never said anything that could be mistaken for such a crazy idea. Even when answering the question about not being Jehovahs spokesperson he immediately thereafter adds confusion that maybe others trying to help in ways that are pleasing to Jehovah? He was trying to disguise his original answer by throwing this explanation it to the mix. If you have the truth and you speak for God -- say so! You should do so because you tell others to go out and give a witness based on your belief that God and Jesus are running the organization and therefore you have the "Truth" To say anything but YES for this question is either admitting you are lying to your followers or not directly answering the question (dancing) and confusing the issue because you are afraid. Are Jehovah's people cowards when it comes to speaking the truth?

I remember when they told us to get a black permanent marker and black out certain parts of the Revelation-It's Grand Climax book, and then throw them away (I noticed they were trying to erase traces of the fact that they were trying to make it seem like Armageddon would come before the "generation" of 1914 died off.

Jesus said in (Matthew 11:25) "At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: "O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike"(childlike representing meekness and humility)so that makes your argument flawed.Jehovah's witnesses are nice people who preach the truth about God ever since I met them I have come to realize the real meaning of God's love for mankind. They may have their short comings but they are certainly not bad company. Jesus had 12 apostle yet 1 betrayed him so in any human organization there is bound to one or 2 bad nuts but u can't conclude that the actions of these individuals should be basis for you to tag them as bad company

+Jakke Control Jehovah's Witnesses 'fostered distrust' of secular authority - royal commission counsel
A damning submission to the royal commission on child sexual abuse has recommended 77 adverse findings against the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Australia. It was open to the commission to find the church fostered distrust of secular authorities and its response to child sexual abuse fell short of best practice, counsel to the commission Angus Stewart QC found in his submission, published on Tuesday.Since 1950 the church has received 1,066 allegations against its members and did not report any of them to police.Stewart’s recommendations arise out of a public hearing into the Jehovah’s Witnesses and its oversight body, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia, in July.He said the Witnesses received about three or four reports of allegations of child abuse a month. The Jehovah’s Witness organisation presented its members with “conflicting and ambiguous teachings regarding their relationship with secular authorities, thereby fostering a distrust of such authorities”, Stewart said.He was critical of the church for requiring abuse victim BCB, who gave evidence at the July hearing, to confront her abuser and for not allowing the involvement of women when her complaint was being investigated. He said it was “inconsistent of the elders’ professed sympathy for BCB”.The evidence in July was that although elders in the Western Australia congregation at Narrogin - where BCB was abused by elder Bill Neill - believed her, Neill was allowed to keep his job because under “witness” regulations, based on a second-century interpretation of the Bible, two witnesses are needed to prove a crime.BCB - who was in her mid-teens and had been groomed by Neill for a number of years - was made to continue to attend Bible classes with him and discouraged from discussing the abuse with anyone, Stewart found.Among the other findings open to the commission was that there was no justification for the Jehovah’s Witnesses not to report to police when the victim was a minor and others were still at risk, Stewart said. One of the most senior members of the Jehovah’s Witness church, Geoffrey Jackson, who is on the New York-based governing body that oversees decisions made internationally, gave evidence on the final day of the public hearing. On Tuesday, Stewart said it could be found that Jackson, by familiarising himself only with the testimony of church witnesses and not reading the testimony of survivors, “belies his stated empathy for the survivors and his stated recognition of the importance of their perspective”.In a submission responding to Stewart’s proposed finding, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia said the finding that the Jehovah’s Witnesses organisation fostered distrust was “just not true”.The submission said Stewart was selective in what doctrinal teachings he used to support the proposed finding.Stewart’s logic around the church’s relationship with secular authorities was flawed because Witnesses believed it was their “Christian responsibility to be good citizens”, and encourage obedience to the law, the submission said. The submission said many of Stewart’s proposed findings were based on “incorrect assertions” and the proposed finding against Jackson did not reflect what he actually said.He had been in Australia to care for his ailing father and did not expect to be called to the commission, the society said.

Why do they fail to disclose those facts. So both warnings are good to follow cause most of the people here are haters of JWs and who likes to be called every bad word in the dictionary as well as some new ones from pagans?

The elders will suggest going to the police, they can't force a family to be separated that is the choice of the child, they can not lord it over as the video shows, once the child or one of the parents or teacher bus driver calls protective child services they will look at the physical condition or mental state of the child and place them in the adoption process.

I haven't seen one kind comment from someone that seemed to be a JW toward someone else that has been clearly hurt. Clearly, their God isn't the God of love because he wouldn't want anyone to act like that. It speaks loudly.

OTTO OCTAVIOUS Don't be an ass. No, not because I 'got it off the internet', but because they themselves teach that they are the only means through which Jehovah is working. You are told that in order to have Jehovah's favour, you have to follow whatever it is the "Slave" says.
Now even with your limited brain cells working, you should be able to connect the dots. If these men are not all making the decisions of shaping policies and doctrines, then who is? And if it's not "the Slave", then why on earth should anyone have to blindly obey them?

    • @01Mary02

OTTO OCTAVIOUS “…NOT TRUE, THE BIBLE PLAYS THE ONLY PART IN SHAPING IT'S UNDERSTANDING…”
You’re full of shit and you know it. The GB members give their bizarre twist on the scriptures to make it fit with their preconceived ideas and when the bible doesn’t fit, they simply tell you not to question THEM.
“…SO LET ME GET THIS RIGHT...BY GIVING YOUR ONE SIDED HATEFUL OPINION...I'M PULLING THE WOOL...”
Wow! That’s rich coming from someone in a cult that allows for no questioning of the leaders’ crazy-ass interpretation of the bible. If ever a religion has a “one-sided opinion”, it’s yours. But of course, you’ll never admit that.
This idiot Geoffrey Jackson sat there, dodged questions and lied his face off. "OK SHOW ME WHERE HE DID THIS...THATS ALL I ASK...WHERE IN YOUR OPINION DID HE LIE.... I ASKED YOU THIS MONTH'S AGO AND NEVER GOT AN ANSWER."
Here’s your answer. During the hearing, a very pertinent question was asked by the Royal Commission and it went like this:
Angus Stewart: “Do you see yourselves as Jehovah God’s spokespeople on earth?”
Geoffrey Jackson: “That I think would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the only spokesperson that God is using.”
Yet that is exactly what they teach:
“…Is it presumptuous of Jehovah’s Witnesses to point out that they alone have God’s backing? Actually, no more so than when the Israelites in Egypt claimed to have God’s backing in spite of the Egyptians’ belief, or when first-century Christians claimed to have God’s backing to the exclusion of Jewish religionists. The facts speak for themselves.” --w01 6/1 p. 12
I guess it’s time that Mr. Jackson actually do some background reading on the subject because that’s exactly what they teach. Unless of course, this “isn’t his area”.
      LOL

Recent correction (my mother corrected me). I was of the impression that the bible study (Tabors) next to the Kingdom Hall who had the hall keys and would OPEN up the hall for meetings, that the son was incest with his sister. However yesterday mom said no that was the father abusing daughter. So I correct that, because I would not want the brother to feel shame for things he didn't do. I once sat next to a neighbor at a bar, who noticed who I was and told me 30 years ago it was not his mom always getting the blame for stirring legal complaints against my father's unkept property, but that it was his dad who did it and played so good and silent, talking to my dad while back stabbing him. When I was close to 60 years of age I started wondering why the 2013 release of the holy scriptures was revised and strange to me was why the witnesses had changed many areas of the Bible. Also I wasn't loved as a child in the foster home of Jehovah's witnesses of which I lived. I was brought up with beatings and slave labor. No I'm not black. I love Attorney Steward! :)
That was great how he used the example of a woman being raped in a field, without anyone to hear her scream and save her from the rapist, she wouldn't be punished, but the rapist would be killed, and then he said if someone asked Jesus about sexual assault, he would have probably referred back to this scripture LOL. I think it is odd that Jackson said, he wishes he could ask Jesus, and one day he hopes he will. Well, doesn't Jesus already (according to the Governing Body themselves) have Jesus pt Jehovah's thoughts directly into their minds? Also, didn't angels supposedly tell the Faithful and Discreet Slave class Jehovah's thoughts? Why doesn't Jackson just channel Jehovah through the Holy Spirit, Jesus, or angels and find the answer to the question?? LOL
Also, while their are elders that will allow a sister or brother to divorce his or her spouse and have scriptural grounds to remarry, because the non-cheating spouse got a confession from the other spouse, or there were circumstances that would lead a reasonable person to believe their spouse was unfaithful, not all elders will allow that. Some elders will only allow a sister be considered in good standing and able to remarry if her husband admitted to cheating, or she walked in on him having sex with someone else. I know I was told I needed to have my spouse confess, or I and one other Jehovah's Witness, or two Jehovah's Witnesses other than me, walked in on him committing a sex act with someone else, or two Jehovah's Witnesses would have to witness him leaving the home of a none prostitute. So, they are even ridiculous about these cases too. Really, the WBTS is mostly concerned with giving men freedom and respect, and women and children are unimportant to them.

    • @Mombal5

I knew of a sister many decades ago who discovered her husband was in a homosexual affair. She went to the brothers on the subject of divorce and they told her she was free to make her decision but she would not be free to remarry and remain in good standing in the congregation because the Bible only speaks of adultery between a man and a woman . That poor woman was young and had no children. So being the sheep that she was she patiently waited around til the organization shed new light on what adultery was really. By that time she was old and unable to have children. The real true stories such as this are countless and heartbreaking.

Jackson sure knows how to dance around a question:
    - does your church accept corporal punishment of children?
    - we accept the family arrangement...
    - do you accept corporal punishment?
    - discipline refers to a mental point of view.
    - you're still not answering the question.
    - ...we don't encourage it.
    - but do you prohibit it?
    - the true way to discipline them is by educating them...
agh! I'm amazed at the judge's and Mr. Stewart's patience.
He can barely hide his misogyny - talking about the "asterisked" application of 1 Timothy 2:11,12 about a woman learning in silence, "the role of women, not jumping up excitedly, arguing with others". Wow! So I guess he doesn't expect that men would've done so, only women; and to such an extent that early Christians needed to specifically request women to learn in silence and not the men.... sickening.

I was a polite and respectful and obedient child growing up. We did what we were told. My parents were good parents and loving but my sister and I were frequently spanked until we had red welts on our thighs and behinds as children. For what I don't know! I guess for not cleaning our room at times? Children love to scatter toys so what's wrong with that? My sister once was spanked for feeding sugar to the ants outside after she was told not to. My father was an elder and our parents seemed to think we'd grow up "like weeds" without the use of corporal punishment which I believe was directly encouraged by the organization. There was a lot of talk about "sparing the rod and spoiling the child." so my parents, I believe, felt it was their Christian obligation to inflict corporal punishment in order to be good parents. So when I hear Geoffrey Jackson say, "It absolutely is not about inflicting corporal punishment" I feel very cheated as a child for having to endure it. In retrospect, my parents have said they don't even know why they spanked us so much. They admit that we were good kids. I feel it was the organization that made them feel the need to do it.

Its often a personal choice made by parents. Even in the JW community over all the years, there exists a spectrum including semi-sadistic to more liberal parenting. It often depends on the parents own upbringing and influences. Thats typical of society. Bible teachings SHOULD however motivate people to change their own attitudes etc

    • @dissidentfairy4264
      @dissidentfairy4264 2 роки тому +1

@@fifthdimension1984 I understand what you are saying. My parents weren't sadistic or abusive. They were loving but the frequency of spankings almost seemed abusive. It hurts me to say it because I still say that my parents were the best parents ever. If every parent were like them the world would be a better place. They claimed it hurt them more than us. (I'm not sure about that. lol) They were careful not to inflict bodily injury. They used light weight switches or belts. I have mixed feelings about discipline. On one hand the advantages might be that children are more obedient and respectful, so I'm not saying all discipline is bad, but I feel excessive discipline tends to destroy confidence. It's already a challenge being raised different from other children of the world in terms of not being able to participate in various school activities, but when ones confidence is affected by too much discipline as well, it just adds to ones feeling of trauma or isolation. Maybe trauma is the wrong word. What I meant to say is it's hard enough to stand up for what is right in the first place without added feelings of insecurity based on a lot of corporal punishment. I hope that makes sense. Neither of my parents were raised JWs. My father was an atheist before he became a Witness. My mother probably wasn't overly spiritual either before becoming a Witness. I think they had Baptist backgrounds as children to some faint degree before Witnesses knocked on their door. My mother and grandmother studied first. It took my father longer. His hang up was "Where did God come from?" He's highly brilliant but they somehow got around it:-) I don't regret my Biblical upbringing. I'm grateful for that. Aside from what I deemed to be too much discipline there was a lot of love. My father took time to explain scripture. We lived in nice homes and were well dressed. We took a lot of family vacations. My mother kept a beautiful home that was always clean. They were always there for us, overly protective I would say. So I did have a lot to be grateful for. I don't want it to seem as if I had a bad home life. I didn't. Overall I had an excellent home life.

All Witnesses parents have different spectrum of discipline with their own children. Some take firm measure, some don't. It all depends on their perspective of how they should discipline their kids. The 'rod' thing in Proverbs is always to be taken figuratively. However it's parents' responsibility to take necessary steps to correct their kids. As far as I can remember, the articles in Watchtower don't encourage painful and harsh punishments.

NO leeway for women to rule.????..Deborah was one of the rulers of the Israelites prior to the monarchy period that began with Saul (circa 1047 B.C.). These rulers were called "judges," an office that traced back to a time when Moses appointed assistants to help him resolve disputes among the Hebrews (Exodus 18). Their practice was to seek guidance from God through prayer and meditation before making a ruling. Therefore, many of the judges also were considered prophets who spoke "a word from the Lord."Deborah lived somewhere about 1150 B.C., about a century or so after the Hebrews entered Canaan. Her story is told in the Book of Judges, Chapters 4 and 5.

bro.Jackson was right when he said this 'two to three witness rule' is seen throughout the scriptures. (Nu 35:30; De 17:6; 19:15; compare Joh 8:17, 18; 1Ti 5:19; Heb 10:28.) Now if I may take an exception to what Mr.Stewart said, and I'm not sure whether his analysis of the scriptural reference at Deuteronomy 22:22-27 is of his own or whether he's got this idea from apostates, I don't know and I don't care, since it's erroneous anyway. He read particularly vss 25-27 and said there were no other witness except the 'engaged girl'. And thus, could this be perhaps that law or principle that Jesus would allude to when dealing with sexual assaults. Where did he get that conclusion?

    • @bradwhelan4466
      @bradwhelan4466 6 місяців тому

The two witness rule is irrelevant, what matters is that we are expected to believe that the most powerful mind in the universe, God. Would invoke a mandate or rule, that would make it virtually impossible for a child abuse victim to be believed.
This is an act so reprehensible, that no decent person could ever associate themselves with such a being.

A couple of hours that could have been said in five minutes And neither side completely uncovered the truth, but the "worldy man" was much closer to it , but was hindered by the JW's deversion. Jesus did not say two witnesses needed to actually witness or see the crime or sin ,but...

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
These witnessess are witnesses of God, and are seeking repentance from the offender.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
It has nothing to do with eye witnesses. And so this most horrible sin is aloud to flourish and repeat among these congregations of these who do not know or love God.

Do not withhold discipline from a child; ... if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. ... he shall not die. Proverbs 23:13
Symbolic? Really? In what way? In no way.
The worldy prosecutor is closer to the truth of God's word, than this governer of JW's.

1 Corinthians 14:35 KJV: And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
Again, the WT lies and says this verse is out of context. Whatever that means.
No, it is in total context. But they are outside of God's word. And persist in it.

Verse 25 starts with the word "IF". So there has to be some evidence or witness/witnesses to establish that 1.they were in the field together or at least saw both of them in the field or saw them went into the same field 2. that the man really lay down with her 3. or whether the girl really screamed or not. So if an engaged girl becomes pregnant by another man and she claimed to have been raped in the field, and that she refused in all her might and also claimed to had screamed but there was no one to rescue her, what would substantiate that claim? Would the judges readily accept this merely by just knowing that this happened in the field? Were there circumstantial evidences to prove her point and that she wasn’t just avoiding the death penalty? Verse 27 said, 'there was no one to rescue her' does not mean 'no one is there' to at least hear of the assault but could not readily rescue since they don’t know where the scream was coming from in the field and/ or perhaps don’t want to get involved with it. So we can’t altogether discount the possibility of a witness/witnesses here. But even in the absence of witnesses, strong material and circumstancial evidences are warranted.

“IN THE Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations has proclaimed that childhood
is entitled to special care and assistance,” states the preamble of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.” Child sexual abuse affects hundreds of thousands of young boys and girls every year. Countless adults are ill-equipped or reluctant to address this problem, not referring it to law enforcement agencies thus defaming of the abused child. Child sexual abuse is always an encroachment and intrusion of a young child’s rights. It escalates the risk of harmful physical and mental health. An environment of muteness, hush, silence and broken communication about sexuality promotes and endorses child sexual abuse. Make no mistake, child sexual abuse can kill. It will destroy the very psyche or spirit of a child. Many abused victims can’t seem to get past it and some resort to suicide to find a way out to find peace. This can’t be toyed with or handled by pedestrians with no knowledge of psychology or neuro-psychology. Child sexual abuse can be the “Ebola” of abuses.

Jackson claims the 2 witness rule is a theme throughout the Greek scriptures. Even if this were true, a more powerful principle that applies is that the sabbath was a theme through the scriptures also, yet Christ didn't use that as a pompous excuse to avoid works of healing. Instead, he did the loving thing. Which had nothing to do with protecting the image of a religious organization incapable of turning off its competitively frenzied sales pitch and everything to do with helping those suffering.

  • @GorgeousRoddyChrome
    @GorgeousRoddyChrome 9 років тому +18

When questioned about corporal punishment Jackson repeatedly deflects the question.
Instead he authoritatively (and proudly) expounds on how the WT teaches the (politically correct) genteel concept that the "rod of discipline" is a metaphor for training children and holding them accountable to standards in a kind, loving non-specific manner. When Jackson realizes that the Commissioner will not give up until his simple question is answered directly, Jackson solemnly, almost in a deflated manner, says "no." While he says "No" under oath, in his mind he is fully aware that throughout the world JW parents are regularly spanking their children, they do that with the full acceptance, encouragement, and support of the congregations, based on that very scripture. JWs will never say to other JWs "do not spank your children." Jackson lies.
As a self-professed anointed brother of Jesus, who claims he has special understanding and interpretation of scripture, and as part if the (appointed) Faithful and Discrete Slave, and one of the 144,000 in Revelation, he personally does not believe that the bible teaches that corporal punishment is ok.
So, why hasn't _that_ particular food- no corporal punishment- been given to the domestics yet? Is it not time yet? Why is the GB not putting that is writing? Because Jackson lies.

I see parents spanking their kids on the street all the time? nobody is arresting them or taking them to court! That would be ridiculous! I think people need to chill out.My guess is that he has no kids and therefore can't think as a parent; I think he deflected the question because he can't answer on behalf of all parents. Some do, some don't!
