In this Chat Jamaican video you will learn the following:
Just beyond Black River, going east is secluded Parottee, which has also begun to promote its fledgling tourism product. Visitors are slowly coming to this quiet fishing village to explore nearby swamplands and go birdwatching, take boat tours to Pelican Bar - a ramshackle bird’s-nest of a bar built on a sand bar a kilometre off Parottee Point - or simply enjoy the kilometres of pristine, all-to-yourself, golden-sand beaches just beyond the main road. Boats to Pelican Bar depart from Basil’s Bar at the end of the Parottee main road.

As a little boy in bush-bush country, I lived about 200 yds. from the seaside. There were many kinds of sea-grapes; but there was a very desirable, premium special type that was deep purple, very big and plump: we called it SAMPSON. The men used, not wood, but the rounded trunks of small trees. As the sea waves lift the rear of the boat, they push and it rolls on the logs onto land. Those crabs are called "king crab;" in North America, they can be up to 5 times bigger. The octopus can be used for stir-fry, because they get tough & rubbery quickly. It would be great for soup, as the longer cooking would soften the flesh.
Thank you for this information ☺️
" These Videos From St.Elizabeth, Bring Back Many Precious Memories For Me. Continue Your Work Tania. " 🅰️🅰️🅰️
I am happy they do 😊.
Wow what a stunning beach! Nice catch!
A blessed good morning to you ms. Tania enjoying your beautiful video's as always. Please tell those fishermen their rollers are too small. They need some big rollers . The rollers are the pieces of wood that they put the boat on to push it up on land. When I was a boy I used to eat a lot of sea grapes. It's so nice that I can view your video's and I am so grateful to you. Have a blessed day . One Love.
Thank you 💝 for the support and happy to bring back the memories 😌.
Why can’t we as Jamaicans see how beautiful our little island 🌴 Jamaica is it’s natural beauty is so breathtaking just watching the fishermen on the beach and looking at the ocean while listening to the wind Gus me a feeling words cannot explain, yes other so called first world countries can offer you opportunities to further your education and job opportunities to achieve more material things but when it comes to peace of mind and simplicity jamaica is the place . If only these criminals would stop the killing and the spread of violence just love ❤️ live and laugh 😂 they would realize that the simple things of life health over wealth and love ❤️ respect ,kindness and compassion is true riches not the love of money or the love of material things Love you Jamaica 🇯🇲
Thanks for sharing ☺️, beautiful country indeed...
Good morning Ms Tania thank you for another wonderful video

Yes, thank you for the support and the love that you have given to all of us. I really enjoy appreciating and showcasing my beautiful country Jamaica.
Boy, not too many fish. How does one makes a living, if that is the average daily catch? The sea needs to be replenished. Sanctuaries need to be established.
I do hope that things get better ☺️ for them
Girl u very strong
Hey Tania you look very strong there it looks like a you lifting all the weight on that boat.
Lol, it felt so too...strong woman 💪
Good morning Tania
Good Morning Dwight
Jamaica is a beautiful place 🏝 its a shame some jamaicans have never traveled the island to experience the paradise they live in
Lovely and beautiful island 🏝️
That is not it you know back in the days no many people own cars or you know many people don't even leave their community to take trips because of Monterey issues unless their family comes from abroad and want to take a trip somewhere that's how some get out.
Can't believe I broke the crag leg , lol
Catchment is to catch water
Thanks for pointing that out ☺️. "Catchment"- I coin the word, I said it to coin the phrase.
Good morning Tania! Nice video but where is your mask?
The mask is with me but not on camera, however, I will show throughout going forward.
That is sea grapes
Funniest thing i live in St Elizabeth i Never went to this beach before.
The name is sea grape 🍇!!!.
It's because they are not ripe properly. They should be very dark.
Ok, noted
This is not a beach, per se. Parrotte is a fishing village. This place is only a stone throw from Black River. The place is not far from my hometown Ridge Pen. Go Ridge Pen!
Big up Ridge Pen!
Ridge Pen! I know people from Ridge Pen.
@@Cinde74 You might know me Cende. Or, I might know you,as well.
@@decijohn6855 I doubt if you know me. But, do you know Taillight (Mikey) that used to run taxi? Or his brother Lesburn?
@@Cinde74 Wow, no, it has been almost fifty years. We tried, though.
