This whole video series is so timely. I have OB final tomorrow and just got my cards a few weeks ago. I love how you follow right along with the cards. That's pretty much all I'm doing to study for tomorrow's test and I feel like it's working. I will report back!!
@@LevelUpRN so I probably didn't get an A, but I did well enough to pass nursing school...and even though I struggled with the tests in OB, today I am a Labor & Delivery nurse (first job out of nursing school), thanks in part to your help getting through school....and a whole lot of persistence, grit and support from my family!
Man, I watch your videos as a nursing student, but this one spoke to me as a mom lol. I didnt get my milk till the 3rd day too. I woke up with two giant hills on my chest, couldnt even see my toes. I felt like I was having an allergic reaction with how bad my breasts were itching. Couldnt even fit the bras I bought for breastfeeding because they blew up so big! Its really amazing (and scary) the changes your body goes through to make a new life. -end of pregnancy rant-
Hi Ms Meris, how are you? our instructor mentioned that ice packs in the perineum will only be applied for 24 hours then after that will be sitz bath or warm treatment to keep the blood circulation inside the body to keep going, Thanks a lot and overall your lessons/discussions help me a lot in understanding Maternal OB most especially sharing your own personal experience. More power and keep doing great things for all the nursing students to learn.
Thanks so much for your videos! Another helpful use of breast milk that seems silly but works is pink eye! Seeing that it has WBCs in it, it makes sense.

Look into the benefits of warmth for the perineum as opposed to cold.
You are a great teacher! I was watching for a review. Got 100 percent correct on your quiz
Yay!

If you’ve had a C-section can you do a sitz bath?
I would think that you could as long as incision does not get wet (former Post Partum RN here).
i like all your videos!
Thank you!
