Thank you for the best tutorial on vibrato! (No one else ever told me to play the target note, then go up first above the target note, then down below the note, then back up to the target note! I never knew! Thank you so much! 🙏🎶 )
Is squeezing, or quickly decreasing and increasing the distance between the strings and the neck an acceptable technique or no? I just started playing and found this to be easier for a vibrato sound. Advice?
The problem I have is that when I increase my vibrato the speed of my bowing hand also increases. Is this normal? Should I concentrate on slower speeds first? Thanks for any replies.
Hello Edward! Usually, increasing the vibrato speed of the left hand should not have any effect on the right hand, which means that the right hand will not change anything when the left hand vibrate .
Thanks for the reply Cathy. Also i tend to bow both strings at once especially on the A string when it gets nearer to the tip of the bow. How loose should my bow hairs be?
You are wonderful to share this info with. Thanks

Thank you so much 🌹
When you say first above the target note then below, do you mean higher pitch then lower pitch, or above/below spatially?

Hi ! Great lesson !
Just wonder, why you are not showing it with note that using the pinky finger ? Is that not common ?

I find this very difficult... I there was a competition for the SLOWEST vibrato in the world, I would win 1st prize.
❤
Is this considered a rolling vibrato or a sliding vibrato? Thanks!!
It is rolling vibrato 😊
Thank you :)

Are you squeezing the string? Or it all rolling the finger?
