Good to see you showing the old "Big Boss" some love. (Not you Amanda - but good luck to you too). When those 20s came out in the late 60s they were the biggest row crop iron out there. Cool old horses.
5k is a lot, but I reckon you will have it in back of your mind after going to all the other trouble to get the rest of the motor fixed to have not gone the extra step and do the liners and pistons. Best to bite the bullet and spend the money and do it all correct now, rather than have to come back and do it in the future. You seem to use this tractor a lot, so I think you will get great value for years to come out of investing to do it fully now. Whatever you decide Nick I'm looking forward to see it done.
If you get the time or just a quick video idea for us, could you please do an updated equipment/ tractor tour for us please? It's been harder to keep up with all the new and restored ones and I would just love to see what you have and have done to all the tractors now! If you don't have time I understand but I would love to see all the jds now! And great to hear your wife is doit better there's no better news than to her she's going to be alright!
Glad Amanda on the mend 👍 u cud put a glass panel in the roof if it's gonna obstruct ur view when usin the loader 🤔 think Ivan deserves a mention for bein the jack of all trades that he is he certainly does a lot for u 💪💪
OSHA approved ! LOL On the farm you have to do what you have to do!! My Trans Alta Guy came out one time when the power line came down in the yard , and they seen a tractor track beside "their" pole and they weren't to happy ! LOL
“Sure why not ranch.” Lol One minute you’re having trouble getting the old boy in to the vet & the next thing BAM, he’s split in 2. Lol Hope Amanda is feeling better & back hame soon. Take care & stay safe. Cheers
Been waiting for this one! Man I love that 5020, can't wait to see it complete! Will be tuned in for the journey for sure, glad to hear Amanda is on the mend! I don't see how y'all function in those temps...thank you for bringing us along!
Nice to hear the better half is better now. Down here if you got gall stones they just jerk the whole thing out. The doctor that took mine out in 91 said he was removing 10 to 15 a week at 4500 a pop. That was just gall bladders. He did all kinds of surgeries a week besides that. I trust doctors about as much as lawyers and politicians. 5020 will be a very nice rig when your done with it. Looking forward to the progress as it goes along.
Good to hear Amanda is all fixed up!!! Was thinking about her the last few days. Crank, or just bearing?? Either way, she's getting some work done to her. Dang, that's always fun when it's -35 and the pole gets all the heat.. nice cab.. good swamp cooler there, set that up to cool the shop.
Hope the Ol lady gets better soon, my uncle's been in the ICU since Christmas Eve, he's in a Pallative care place now, better than ICU now to get him home.
I got one of those cabs, it's on grandma's 4020, they are a stopler cab and actually people are starting to buy those up for some odd reason. 5010s and 5020s don't like our area cause they just couldn't build up them rpms to get moving, then came the wet spots and they would just sink like a fucking boat anchor lol 😂. My 930 was a a bit on the slow side but I tweaked it up to 2000 rpms lol it really wakes her up going down the road and pulling the 4x18s high clearance 3 point plow.
Ok it's scary this is the second time we've agreed. I hate the look of those cabs, reminds me of a wart on your thumb. But the rops and canapy that's a classic look. Weren't alot of those cabs aftermarket? You need to market that water cooler as a portable shower, that's about all they were good for. Glad the boss is getting better
great video as always, glad your finally getting to the 5020, the only thing I don't like about it is that it don't have a 540 pto, and how are you not at 100k subs yet.
Is 5020 getting the full SouthSask treatment of paint and everything? She'll sure look good with a ROPS canopy. Wheres 5010 ? do you plan to use her much in the future ?
Curious, what are the dimensions of your shop we are hopefully building a new one this year and while I know you don't regret building them bigger than you need it is pretty expensive putting up insulated steel buildings. Sorry, I know it is off track to the point of your video and I don't mean to high jack your rebuild for the 5020.
First hahaha
😂😂
😆😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Damn too fast there
😂😂😂

Great video!! Glad your Mrs is ok!!! great use of old cab for the old tractor.
Glad Amanda is doing well!!👍 Nice to see you guys getting the 5020 in the shop and tore down!👌
So glad you aren’t ruining the old girl with a cab. Rops bar will be mint👌
Good to hear Amanda is feeling better! Make that ol 5020 snort, turn er up!
Keep up good work fella ....Good to hear the BOSS is ok.....
South Sask Farmer, I am glad your wife is now doing fine. Hope they will let her come home very soon.
Glad to hear that Amanda is on the mend - looking forward to following the 5020 rebuild.
Sending you and the cattle baroness lots of prayers for her speedy recovery with good health and wealth

Good to see the 5020 in the shop finally. 👍🏻👍🏻 Glad to hear the "Cattle Barronness" is doing better. 👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for sharing.🍻🍻
That old 5020 is like family , you keep her in great running shape !! Should make the town kick in some funds to keep it up ! hahaha !
Wishing Amanda a speedy recovery, get well soon.
Hey really like your channel. Just seen a 1979 4440 for sale in this week's Ontario farmer for $ 38000 I thought that would put a smile on your face
Ivan, you're a daredevil! Make that a frozen daredevil! Even tore all to pieces the 5020 looks like it could pull anything you hook to it. 💪💪

You have a start of a opening, widen it and put a sunroof in it so you can see your loader. Only 5020 with a sunroof, just pimpin it.
Hope the Ol lady gets better soon, my uncle's been in the ICU since Christmas Eve, he's in a Pallative care place now, better than ICU now to get him home.
That’s a great idea using that old cab for the ropps bars👍🍺
Project is moving along pretty dam quick. And without Antoine yet.
Get well wishes and a speedy recovery to Amanda. I was wondering if Princess Auto sells blue roses to match your new blue motor. Haha
Alright a new rebuild
Great video nick
Blow some smoke for us down here in America
Ivan the electrician lol
Leave a hole in there put glass or clear plastic in there so you can see the loader. Just a suggestion. Great Vidgus. Mn
Glad to hear Amanda is doing better
Great old tractor getting only better with some well earned improvements That's worth the price 👍 👌 😀
Good to see the 5020 is going to be restored to original grandeur! Nice videos.
Glad Amanda is better.
Glad Amanda is on the mend. See her in the next one?thanks for sharing

This one my favorited tractor of yours .. love the body style.. an how beefy they look 👍
In the early 80's i drove 2x 5020's doulble hitched together they could pull like a mofo.
Ivan went full on Portland looter with that bar. Lol
Doc
As an electrician I’ve been where Ivan was, sometimes you do what you have to!
7:00 "Time to do some sketchy shit...."
Dang it I was gonna make a nice hunting blind outta that cab
Love your video’s and great to hear that Amanda is doing ok😀😀keep op the good work
Turbo time????? More like Detroit time . (I know the answer is no but that would be kool) good to hear Amanda’s is doing better 👌🏻👍🏻
No turbo lol
I wish you were closer to Missouri, I would love to have those windows and cab parts.
Good hearing that Amanda has been doctored on and is on her way back ... to now Rule The Roost!! -Bob...
Looking good. By the end of winter you will never want to take another jd apart ever again lol
Square that hole up in the roof and put a window in it like a bobcat has so you can see the bucket in the air😜😜
Looking good!, can’t wait to see you redo your uncles 4020
We had a 5020 when I was young . Put a lot of hours on the old girl that’s why I can’t hear worth a damn now also .
Ivan must use magnums too. Way to sketchy for me. Looks like a metal ladder so he's properly grounded.
Aluminum lol
Got a little slap in that crank there, lol . Of course it just wants to go hide in the grass, it's green LoL
Good old Bycool, in hilly land you got a bath every day.🤨
We did the same thing for your 4010 work great shade when baleing
5020 is gonna be a sexy beast with a new hat when she rolls out of the shop.
you need to drop that stupid laugh habit.

Captain sweatpants might need that powerfist for one of his FERDS lol
Good morning ! Now you have me saying NICE all the time 🤦♂️ lol
Damn this is gonna be better the the 5010 rebuild.
You going to put a turbo on it? How Amanda is feeling better and Antione is back soon.
Nope haha
5020 is my favorite tractor
All these projects is making me want to build a heated shop...
Dang 5020 parts are expensive
Damn you do alot of tractor rebuilding...nice work. 👍👌
Idle hands are the devils play ground lol
Hi Nick, just to say I hope Amanda well get well very soon
Fack I didn’t think a 5020 could get any more awesome haha and with duals on oh myyyy 😍👍🏻
Lol
great video as always, glad your finally getting to the 5020, the only thing I don't like about it is that it don't have a 540 pto, and how are you not at 100k subs yet.
I know right!
Should be putting can on that 5020
Take the big window from the back and weld it in the front of the canopie roof
I feel bad for you guys up north for how expensive engine kits are! Will you do liner o rings while it's apart?
That's the best thing to do with them echo chamber fuckin cabs.
Man Twon seems to have aged a decade or two, lol.
Lol
Speaking of deere engines I am most like an 8.1.
M and W turbo time? Really wakes them 531's up.
Nah don't think so
@@SouthSaskFarmer1 awe, wherever you go with it will be a success.
Is the front axle of the 4020 stock or has it been replaced? You impose on it quite often...
All u need is a 6030 to finish of the green fleet
Is 5020 getting the full SouthSask treatment of paint and everything? She'll sure look good with a ROPS canopy. Wheres 5010 ? do you plan to use her much in the future ?
No paint
Just need a 3-point and a bale spear and you could pick up something heavy and push it wherever
Wouldn't do damn thing. I'd need 4 on the back to make a difference
@@SouthSaskFarmer1 must have lighter bales, we run 664 new hollands and most of our bales this year were right around the 1800lbs range
@@hadenpalmlund9582 you'd need 3 of them to be enough to do anything on ice like the yard I'd
Is that an evaporative cooler I see on that old cab? Memories.
Yup lol

40x40
Are ya gonna have a loader for it or is that one just for the 4630 now?
One day yea
When did Saskatchewan get a hill? 🤔
G'day Nick and family 🍻
After a little pump adjustment horse power will
Be what??
170 if 15%
Is it possible to put a turbo on that without to much hassle?
The "Sure Wynot Ranch" LMAO! I run the "Every F**kin Time Machineshop" 🤣
Hahahahah
So did it work to back feed the hydraulics to get steering?
Oh no it did not haha
As much work as you have put in all of them John Deere’s would be equal to a 1086
Ya and the 1086 after getting done up still isn't worth 6500 bucks
Great day for some Sask👌
She'll be cherry when you get done 👍
What did you guys do with twon?
Shot him out of A cannon
If I remember right, 5020s didn't have turbos from the factory. Does yours have an aftermarket turbo or would you consider adding one?
No I wouldn't those engines are not made for the higher compression with a turbo. Just a good way to wreck it
@@SouthSaskFarmer1 OK TY
Been excited to see the ol 5020 get worked on
Me to lol
