I’m fairly new to your channel but I love shelling. It’s a fun addiction but could sure be worse. We winter in Florida and I love going to different beaches and shelling but boy would I love to fine some of the knob whelks or lighting whelks you guys find. @@SaltyReflections I would have the same problem I love the beach my bedroom is decorated in beach themed even my laptop has a beach cover. I want to go to the beach so bad it’s been since 2018. My husband is bedridden and I have this major heart issues and we both want to go. I’m praying that we get to. My heart isn’t doing well so I told him I want to see the beach and walk while I can but it’s not looking like I will get to. I just want to sit down and watch the waves 🌊 crash and hear it and feel the sand. Definitely look for shark teeth and shells.
We were talking about how the beaches looked here in Delaware when we were kids. They were covered in shells. We would find a lot of variety. Now you really have to look to find ANY shells at all. They’ve disappeared for the most part. We find some clam shells, some oyster, not many and not much else.
Same here in southern California.

Glad you enjoy them! We don't ever find shark teeth on this beach. But it may be just that we aren't looking for them specifically. We do love to hunt for those little black beauties, though! 🖤🦈🦷

Some species within the order, not quite as flat, are known as sea biscuits. Sand dollars can also be called "sand cakes" or "cake urchins".

What a great walk, so many beach finds. So lucky!!! Hoping to find some shells soon here in Florida. So far we have seen many bird species and some very big alligators. We also got out of Pa. To miss a snow storm
