I served in Kuwait. The Marines, Sailors and soldiers had a Navy Priest. They held Mass everyday in the main compound tent. They had a Protestant chaplain but not he was in a cushy area in Bahrain. The Catholic chaplain was always in the thick of it with his men and women. The Catholic Priest would interact with us by making sure we had an enough water. A year later I signed up for RCIA. Part of my family was Catholic and I was raised by a second generation Irish Catholic family in daycare. The point is the priest led by example
Dear Teen Girl from Hamill - How lovely of you to post this massage so bravely. I am sure everyone who reads your message will appreciate your prayers. I have no doubts that many will be praying for you too, that you continue to learn and have the courage going forward to build your own Ministry to your family, to your friends, and to your community. Sending you Every Blessing - Old Man from England.
I know I'm late to the party, but why do you consider Catholicism to be a form of Christianity? Genuinely...do you agree with the typical docterine of the Catholic Church? The Bible says saints are believers who follow Christ. Aka Christians. Not special Christians that "earn" the title from the Catholic Church. Also should only pray as Jesus asks us to. To God. He also tells us to ask God directly for forgiveness. Prayer is almost always to be done in private, not in public. We are told not to worship or pray to idols vs praying to worshipping God directly. The Bible is against more stereotypical ideolgies of the Catholic Church more than most other Christian churches ......so how do you justify these things? I am a curious non-denom.. meaning I belong to THE church as all ofnus believers do. I study the Bible with others and believe it's the word inspired by God. We will always fall short, as the Bible says, but we must try our best to stidy and KNOW Jesus through prayer, through the Bible, and life. Why did the Catholic Church start All Saints Day and All Hallows Eve instead of acknowledging Martin Luther/Reformation Day? 🤔 Weird. Why were they they first known misrepresentation of Jesus and God? God shown as Jupiter , Jesus shown as Saturn (the previous gods of the Romans)? And then they instated Saturnalia.... Probably to help hide their terrorizing of Christians. But also in stead of Christ's birth during Sukkot. There's a lot more. I would like answers, I grew up in a Catholic church, went to Catholic school for ten years, and have asked many Catholics about this, read Catholics "answers" to these types of questions and nothinf is made apparent. Can someone please explain?

We have a priest in Philippines name Fr.Darwin Gitgano he was doing evangelization all over our region and hundreds of people came back to our Church now because of his group the CFD.
I would like to add that while beginning new friendships with people ‘dropping’ them if they refuse to accept Jesus is anti Christian. Sometimes it might take years of devotion to save a soul. They just might want to observe your faith in action. Love. 🕊️
One of the most powerful and important things I have ever heard … GOD bless you father Ireland once a stronghold of the faith with great religious now in desperate need of evangelical renewal
Father Casey, ur on point re: spiritual clothing. My MIL was a RN. She didn't change her nursing uniform, shoes & cap before she left hospital. Often, every week, she shopped for clothing, shoes, food etc before coming home. Everyone knew she was a nurse. Religious clothing should be worn, imhumbleopinion. Thank you, Father Casey ✝️ ✝️ ✝️

I am 70 years old and I don’t have the answer all. I can think of is Prayer 🤲 Prayer Prayer Most Priests don’t where there clerics outside of the Church
I see both but I think it's too keep people from slowing them down when running in and out of store or doctor office. I get both sides, you need some time to be "you" some down time to refresh and renew but you need to be Christ also.
I grew up LDS, and converted in my late 20's when a diagnosis sparked the desire to know God. I am well now, praise be to God. For whatever else many may make of the LDS they do a few things VERY well. Family history, family time, and missionary work. I still spend my free time doing geneology as i believe its important, and any father or mother knows the importance of family and love, but missionairy work feels so absent in our faith. An LDS missionairy is an 18 year old that is sent to MTC (missionairy training center, essentially a boot camp of lds theology + learning the essentials of the primary language where the missionairy is to go) and then they go out into the world. Their training is generally 12 weeks long before they go out for 2 years of their life to spread what they believe to be the truth. It is inspiring to me and though I elected to join the military (even as a youth I had many doubts of the LDS faith), I have taken that with me as I crossed the Tiber. These boys have hundreds, if not thousands, of doors slammed on them. Strangers yell at them, cuss at them, spit at them. But they carry on. How can we, knowing this is the true church God established, that is preserved by the Lord & the blood of countless martyrs, not follow that example?
The friendliness and awesome music, free bagels, feel good preaching (on non-religious deep questions) attracted me to the Evangelical Protestant church I attended for 4 years. This “Jesus lite” had me looking for substantial teaching after a time. I found it in the Traditional Catholic Church. We have 5 packed full Masses on Sundays and 2-3 full daily Masses. We have groups and apostolates to suit every taste and temperament, including those that “go out into the world”. It’s truth, sometimes difficult to hear. It’s reverent and asks one to sacrifice and grow in faith. And the numbers of people just keep going up because true faith bears fruit. The “cool” church has shown the fruits it’s borne-the empty pews of which you speak. Truth works.
True words! It was the same for me too, the friendliness, the love, joy, peace and hope that protestant christians radiated and the fun events they hosted, inspired me to start reading the bible, having a personal relationship with God and going to catholic mass again. This didn’t only happen to me, the bible group from my high school started with 6 people and after 2 years there were about 30 students there. Not everyone was christian of course, but a lot of people were drawn to the group. This is something we can learn from our protestant brothers and sisters:)
The world has gotten so much smaller. Our “worlds” have gotten so much smaller. Keeping our close even closer. I went to see “The Chosen” season 4 episodes 1-3 at the movies with some of my customers. They asked me how long I knew the Lord. I said I was a Cradle Catholic. They asked if that meant I was a Christian. What!?!?!? We were/are the ORIGINAL Christians. So many are either taught untrue and unkind things about Catholics or not at all. While I’m not trying to convert anyone immediately , I would like to educate many. I invited them all to come to a Mass and I would reciprocate by attending one of their services. I am as Catholic as they come and perhaps they are deeply dedicated to their faith as much as I am. But getting them to attend one Mass at least to understand my faith more truthfully will hopefully help to stop the lies and show them the TRUTH of being a Catholic. Which is so beautiful.
wow, what u r doing is really amazing. more power to you & may God bless u more sis. Here in the Philippines we have catholic faith defenders that are non stop defending the faith. pls pray that they will be more
Thank you so much for bridging the gap between Catholics and Protestants. I would love to go to a Mass with you. I'm just afraid to go a Mass by myself because without someone to show me what to do I fear I would get lost. There is so much tension between us, and I know we disagree on some important issues, but we can still love each other if we choose to.
The *Big* question is - how do Roman Catholic *Christians* spread the word to other denominational Christians that CATHOLICS are *FIRST DEGREE - ORIGINAL CHRISTIANS* , when the Evangelicals (born again Christian preachers/pastors) are openly spreading the false narrative on air on TV all over the West etc.AND no strategy by the RC church to counter these false teachings that Catholics are: * NOT Christians * Do NOT read the bible (as the hierarchy with-hold biblical knowledge from the flock) * R.C. preach false Christian doctrine * R.Catholics preach 'Replacement Theology' contrary to biblical fact. *Believe it or not, Christians with all its denominations are their worst enemies* . Remember, what Jesus said Matt 22:25-29 *Every kingdom divided against itself will not stand & is brought to desolation* . Until there's no competition within the various Christian denominations to entrap *customers* using the *JESUS* brand name to undercut each other to make money as a charity family business or tithe collections, 🤔 - it's a cutthroat business *SADLY* . Every Evangelical organisation has it's own special charismatic front man woman which draws in the *CROWD* Fr. Casey, I hop from one Christian TV channel to another and one youtube video to another - listening to these preachers - some with hundreds of follows & others with less. I even view Judaism Rabbis videos and GUESS WHAT - Fr. Casey, *I'm still a baptised Roman Catholic Christian & always will be* 😆 The seed fell on fertile ground decades ago. 😉. It matters NOT whether you wear a brown friars habit or a bikini. 😉
This is truly a video inspired by the Holy Spirit. My family was literally just talking about what we could do regarding evangelization. The second reading at Mass yesterday always hits home for me. Please pray for us Fr.! We are always praying for you.
Yes Farther thank u , I’ve have always had the boldness. Not an easy life. Lotta times you have to listen to your intuitiveness within know what God tells us and be there for people but it’s not easy. God bless everyone.
Fr Casey i truly love you, thank you for following Jesus with such love, zeal, courage, do not be afraid of those misunderstanding your videos, in fact your heart because" Our Father "knows you & is leading you to stand for THE TRUTH IN LOVE...praying in thanksgiving for you & for all the graces you need!!❤🙏🙏🙏🤗
True but it's hard. People today are in their boxes. I know my church does things for young adults but only the young adults going to church see ads for it. Only if you liked the church on FB or Instagram would you see "Theology on Tap" etc. One of our priests thought of billboards for vocations and other media. Preaching to the choir if only done at church.
Speaking as a non Catholic, raised Episcopalian, now a scriptural based Christian, I've been around the roller coaster looking for the right congregation. Looking at the entire big C Church, what I continuously think to myself is, "I wish these guys would just get over themselves and let their ego and bias go." Very plainly this butting of heads between each Christian group over who is right, or most right, or spiritually based, or scripturally based, etc just hurts the people who simply want to hear the good news and follow God's word. I sometimes wish, if the heads of each denomination cant agree, then they should at least have a meeting once a year/ biannually/ once every decade, whatever to meet in fellowship of Jesus and discuss matters and principles of preaching the word and the word itself. We are becoming lost sheep for Gods sake! Help us!
One and the ninety-nine also seems to apply to the lone voice crying out in the wilderness. I greatly appreciate the work of Breaking in the Habit, "one" among the "ninety-nine" voices of confusion. I see Father Casey getting attacked more and more. It is a good sign; the message is getting out. Stay strong!
I am glad to see someone else addressing this issue. I have long advocated that all churches need to have a monthly or weekly meeting for people who are "Christian Curious." They don't want someone to preach at them or witness to them, but they do want someone who will answer their questions. In my shop, I include religious accoutrements from other religions. I get a lot of, "Are you Jewish/Muslim/Buddist...?" I answer honestly, "No, but so much of the religious hatred in the world today is based on ignorance. I am a practicing Christian and devout, but I have studied many religions. You can ask me any question about any religion and I will answer it to the best of my ability." You'd be surprised at how many people 1) lack a basic education about their own religion, and 2) thank me for telling them about Jesus Christ and not getting "Bible-thumpy" about it.
This is so true Fr Casey, that’s exactly what people need right now, we need to meet them were they are at and not where we want them to be !! I also found that young passionate christians as leaders are very powerful as leaders for small groups for example. They inspired me to get to know the Lord
John 15:16 *"You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you"*
This is probably your best conference. Good one. Really, really good one. My parish: been an active member for nearly 25 years. Our current priest here for 12 years. Doesn’t know my name. Suggested a ‘bring a friend to church’ Sunday. Shot it down. “Not if they’re not Catholic. If they’re ‘fallen away’ they need to see me first.” But he’s never home. A distinct lack of imagination or will in parish after parish. I’m willing, able and ready to go. The clergy is the wall.
Every, single person is,very important created by our same father and redeemed by our, same savior they part of the body of Christ and we need them and are hurting without them please pray for all,and do everything to draw all
Keep the faith! The Society of Servant Pilgrims, among many other Catholic ministries around the world, is out there actively seeking the 1 sheep while touching base with the 99. The harvest is great, the workers are few. The world needs more pilgrims, building trust among strangers, which is the foundation of peace.
As a Protestant Christian converting to Catholicism, I can definitely say I had to reach out to the church, I didn’t feel like the church was reaching out to me. I believe we should always invite the unconverted to the flock as St. John The Evangelist did. Not being Catholic yet, I pray this does not offend.
@@Hope_Boat I have hardly ever seen you guys reaching out. The first things I heard about orthodoxy is not about the beauty of your liturgy, the profoundness of your meditative practices or the distinctiveness of your art, but the condamnation of the west. All faiths claim to be the true one, it's not going to set you appart. Frankly your feud with the west is more a deterrent than an appeal, I mean a person knowing nothing about your religious group is just going to conclude you are uncharitable. It's not like I was the only one saying that, your own bishops are very vocal about the need of your people to be me more friendly and welcoming of newcomers.
@@dedalesigma6755 The western nations have drunk the wine of the passion of Babylon's immorality. She's sleeping with the globalized powers and market. It is not charitable to confort people into their drowsiness. Christians have to claim the Gospel and the relevant part today is : "Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues." If this is too harsh for you ears, the problem comes from your ears brother. Not from my mouth for I am just a messenger of Christ. Complain diretly to the boss. Kyrie eleison.
Fr Casey. Amen. Father I'm sure you have seen my comments on previous videos, I just want you to know the Holy spirit has called me back to mass. But also set my heart on fire I have gotten in touch with my Bishop I feel called to the preist hood and I want you to know you were the one who inspired me back.
I love the FEST, it’s on a seminary campus, it has Christian music, food, tents with sponsors, confessions, and the mass, everything you would want as a Catholic.
This is why last year i join the course on how to evangelize, i really want others to "go back" to the church and know Jesus more. Many people i knew actually want to know Christianity and many are curious about Catholic faith. I hope in the near future i as a layman can tell the gospel and through my action, bring people to Jesus Christ. Greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩
One day I visited the nursing home I got a chance to talk comfort someone whom left the church since she was 6 years old. I was convinced her to go to a confession then she did it. I love your speech father, we need those people who are get out of their comfort zone to get courage to talk to people about their sadness and problems that they want to talk about may be their loneliness.
Interesting. I teach community services and have teach students how best to protect vulnerable clients. My father had been a lay preacher and assured hospital chaplains. A major role was keeping a few of the other chaplains in check. A demanding and complex role. I wish you well.
I go to a church that is really loud before and after mass while inside the church. I'm not sure why nobody says anything but I feel it has to do with being more welcoming to others and allowing them to see that it is a good and welcoming place. Although it is tough to sit there when you know God is present yet these people are so loud and talkative while in the presence of the lord. :(
The Novus Ordo does NOT make it impossible to pray. The TLM crowd are so self-righteous and holier than thou and disobedient to the Pope. Glad the TLM is being curtailed. @@carolynkimberly4021
Thank you, Father Casey. Your video about mediocrity really helped me. Now I fully agree with this video, I really feel sad seeing people say "believe or you will go to hell" and then think that they did what they were supposed to do. About finding the lost sheep, I'd also like to mention that by acting the way you say we're going to show we are just normal people. That's it. People that have problems, people that have a normal life. Not some different kind of people that just spend all their day in Church. By showing that we show that the Church is made for normal people - and it by being good we show it makes people better. And this intuitive thought might convince someone when they are asked by us.
One thing I find we lack in our Church is getting together and creating a form of togetherness. You go to a Church, Noone bothers to even say hallo after mass! This is terrible when you are new in a place - we need to do more. Thanks Fr for talking about this🙏
More conservative Catholics say that is "protestant" type of thing. That is why my friend left years ago. She said Catholics don't welcome, everyone has a place, a job and no one wants help or for you to enter their group. I do see some truth to this. I tried to help at bible camps years ago, Xmas store at Catholic school, the "regulars" felt you were infiltrating I think. My friend wanted to do Xmas pageant, had ideas and no one would let her so she did it at Episcopal church instead. I'm sure many are different but cliques form everywhere. Our priest used to "yell" for lack of a better word at parish over and over at coffee and's that didn't welcome new people beyond, Hi. He'd see them come and then not come back. Coffee and isn't just to catch up with your friends you see all the time, be nice to others. I felt his pain being the odd man out sometimes.
Yes, very true. When I was going through a tough time and didn’t want to talk to anyone, I went to the Catholic Church because I knew no one would ever come up and say hello.
Preaching to the choir is easy to do, while evangelizing to a world that is, at best, apathetic, and at worst, hostile, is a far more difficult task. Yet, we are not called to do easy things. We are called, as Christians, to do the difficult thing. For it gives no glory to God to do that which is simple. Thank you, Father Casey, for reminding us of that. I have not done my own due diligence in speaking to people about our faith, or addressing the needs of those who have relinquished any attachment to our faith.
Actually according to Bishop Barron among others, the chior considers Transubstantiation as a symbolic custom, support medical termination of pregnancy, divorced folk can remarry and the Western nuclear deterrence is necessary for our security. It does not seem that the Choir is being evangelised that much either.
Most church functions, at least at ours, for young/teens etc is advertised in our bulletin. They wont see that. My daughters wont go to "Theology on tap" type things because she isn't very conservative and feels she'll be the odd one. It's not that simple many times.
I need to do that more, I am friendly but shy away from politics always and religion. I hate when someone offers to help me with groceries when unloading car and it's a JW because they are nice but they also are evangelizing. I am kind but not switching. ; )
Fr I am part of OCIA I would not be there without the Augustinians. Look to two priests. Fr Jeremy Hiers OSA and Fr Kevin Mullins. Faith Journey ran 5 days a week 2 hours. We were visited by so many. I took two Scripture classes.
Well said, brother. I am from a protestant background, and I know many who just jump to stage 4 and preach with a sense of venom. It is truly aweful. As you say, it is all about building relationships and welcoming them into the family. God bless.
Hi Fr, Casey, you probably don’t remember me amongst the thousand you met in your baseball tour, I was the old guy that met you in the Phoenix bar and I have been a follower of you for a long time. I do a lot of work for the Knights Of Columbus and a lot of what we do is to help the church internally, but also externally like right for life. I have always feared evangelization, but your wisdom has come through again. I think the point of getting to know someone and knowing their story and being interested in that really does open the door to truly helping people find Jesus Christ. I’m a former protestant, and we were big on beating people over the head with Bibles and signs. I just wanted to tell you thank you!!!
Great recipe not 1 error that is hopefully used to truly gather the flock back to catholic faith. I pray for this grace. God bless your efforts to do good.
I wish I could think of ways to invite younger adults to things the church is doing. Some things are just too "conservative" for a casual Catholic, the Xmas/Easter/Good Friday type. Adoration wont bring them in, a talk about the rosary or a book club about saints.Maybe church picnics can be at a park instead of church grounds. Are there ways to advertise other than a bulletin that an outsider wouldn't see? Would a game night or an engaging speaker help? I know when I tried to bring a family member to our church picnic (in parking lot) she said to bring her a brownie, she didn't belong there and didn't want pressure from "Where have you been? types. It's just so hard, but I feel if the church could do things that would bring people to it, something fun, not too deep in religion, it would be a start.
When I was studying theology at the university there was an event called Jeux Interfacultaires (Interfaculty Games), we gathered a small team to take part in it and enrolled other students when our numbers were insufficiant to take part in the competition (thanks to one of my friends in engineering). Through the games and the partying, we had ample opportunities to talk about our faith as the faculty of theology had not taken part in these games for more than a decade. Sadly, drunken promises about going to church are not that reliable...
Cradle Catholic here. Was an atheist for almost 20 years. Came back ONLY because of the Traditional Latin Mass. It ignited my Catholicism in a way that 12 years of Novus Ordo Catholic education never did.
There are 5 parishes in our pastoral region and discussion has started regarding a possible/probable closure of one. What you have described is exactly what has happened at this parish. No one - absolutely NO ONE - tries to step out of their comfort zone to reach out to ppl who've left, to explore what we can do. I'm sharing your vid with the regional priest. Please pray for us.
I mean I left after we found out our parish priest was abusing kids and he fled The country and literally there’s been NO accountability no offense but there needs to be a reconciliation and safeguards in place before I come back or let the church anywhere near my family
I understand completely. Please contact someone from another parish that you can meet with and have a deep heart to heart talk with them. Explain your frustrations and disappointment in the way things were and are being handled. Don't give up, please. 🙏🙏
@@ansond6372 it’s literally everywhere I’ve been trying since 2008 honestly like how can we claim to stand for God when our organization is doing so much harm to the most vulnerable? If the church wants us back they can act like it if that makes sense?
But maybe it's just the Church? Don't keep yourself from Our Father because of the system. I try to keep in mind that the priests are human, too, and they're broken. Their final judgment will come from the Son and may God have mercy on them. I, too, don't agree with sooooo much being hidden or swept "under the rug" and no punishment being meted out but I attend Mass because I want to be with Jesus. I want to praise the Holy Trinity and keep my eyes on the Resurrection. Please don't be offended.
St Paul Evangelization has over 100 videos teaching you how to evangelize.... I had the Holy Spirit help me bring 20 people into the church and one is a priest today. we also have videos on healing as we have had many
Thank you father Casey. This is very important. I only hope this call to evangelize the world does not mean dumbing down our faith or our own culture. I believe it has been shown that conversion comes more often from a visit to a beautiful church than from youth groups, modern music events and so on, indeed that was the case for me. God bless.
I sort of resent the idea of "dumbing down" as a negative thing. Don't we "dumb down" math for first graders instead of jumping right into calculus? We do this because they're not ready for the fullness of it yet. We need to meet people where they are and encourage them to take steps. They can't do everything all at once.
@@BreakingInTheHabit Thank you for responding father Casey! I realize my comment maybe sounds crude, I just got home tired from work. I don't mean this is what we do, certainly not you, and it's not the best formulation. I only mean to say that we should also be proud and realize that when people come to the catholic church it is because of all things catholic, not in spite of it! So for me, I am a musician so this means cherishing the catholic musical tradition in it's breadth and glory and I think it doesn't mix well with most forms of popular music (not that I don't love forms of popular music, of course!), the essence is very different, it seems like a less genuine attempt to give people what we think they want and I think people feel that, they are also attracted to the mysterious and unknown and we must take that seriously. What do you think? Please pray for me.
@@lovaaaa2451I agree with this. I’m a convert, and still a relatively new Catholic. One thing that I will say is that perceived contradictions or a perceived dumbing down can hurt a convert. I didn’t have much trouble accepting transubstantiation in my RCIA class or personal discussions with my catechist. It did become hard later on though when I went to retreat and instead of what I perceived to be a respectful and dignified mass that communicated that God was present, what I saw was a bunch of guitar music, clapping, and what felt like was an unserious and childish atmosphere in front of what I was supposed to believe is God, for no other perceivable reason than us being college students and that it’s what college students like. It was harmful for me in RCIA.
The Shepherds of the Church, with few exceptions, have been AWOL in this task. The world is starving for Truth. What a tremendous opportunity these men have to be a bright light in this dark world. The Holy Father should lead the Way.
I think it is also important to emphasize that God is also at work in the lives of those who are outside the Church, that they are not alone and worthless. If I remember correctly, my own conversion was motivated by this fact. I discovered in Christ the source of all good. In a way, finding Christ was like finding myself. It felt like a homecoming or a eureka moment. All of that made me aware that it is a good thing to evangelize people with the help of their own culture, not just because it is more convenient, but because the Holy Spirit is active, even in unexpected places.
The only thing I've been doing recently is posting youtube videos of me writing portions of the daily gospel. I hope it can be a source of evangelization (and countering dark posts online).
Thank you for all your good work and the efforts to talk about faith and Jesus Christ. I am from Germany and it is kind of funny to read comments, in which they call you liberal, leftist or worse, bc our german church is very liberal and that means, many, also clerics, dont even believe in resurrection, in Jesus as Son of God or other basics. I want to say: you are totally orthodox, but trying to avoid the traps of spreading ideology instead of the gospel. Jesus has to be in the centre of everything, if we talk about our love to Him and what He means to us, instead of doctrine, what He changed in our lifes, we do the best. Of course you should also know enough about the bible and church teachings to answer questions. Be humble, be honest, talk about the beauty of God, not politics. Just a random joke: in Eastern Germany there are only few christians left. A monk told me, when he wore his habit there ( white and black), he was asked, if he was cosplaying a jedi knight. They never saw a monk before. So he could talk about God. 😂😂😂😂
I agree with being distinctive out there, to draw people to the faith. I desired to be a visible witness, a visible presence of the Church on the street. So, Rosary in hand I decided to pray publicly when I walked to Mass every weekday I went. For those of you who are keen enough to notice, there is an apparent injunction against such things in scripture And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Mathew 6:5,6 KJV So why would I take a different tack? I wasn’t doing this for adulation, I was seeking no reward or praise. If anything, the act was supremely uncomfortable for me. I’m much happier praying in secret. Outside of the Mass I find it profoundly distressing to pray in front of others, even family members. That discomfort became part of the point of why. It was a method of bringing me out of that protective shell I’d put around myself regarding the faith, I knew I couldn’t go on like that forever. The words For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels Luke 9:26 KJV haunted me. And there was something else, if everyone else in the world was going to boldly be presenting their beliefs unapologetically, I couldn’t shrink from that, at the very least I could stop hiding. I could let others know that faithful men still walked the earth in anno Domini 2023, perhaps that in and of itself might bring about some fruit, even if I never saw it myself. This Rosary ritual was part of the great unexpected fruits of the resolution. While I was already praying a daily Rosary, having it attached to my weekday jaunt over to the Basilica made it just much more meaningful. By weaving it into that resolution it was put into the story of my day in a way that it just wouldn’t have been otherwise. The unforeseen benefits of my commitment have consistently astonished me.
Memebr of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here. I did nothing but evangelize full time for two years. Its very hard, but i know its worth while. Door knocking is a dead art, but helping the members in the area talk to there friends and teaching them how to bring up God and Jesus is how people find God. Be bold with love. Open your mouth and God will give you words to say when you need them.
I would like to call all the catholic priests in the world to redo the jericho walls breaking ceremony as mentioned in Joshua 6 With the new arc of the covenant My dear priests you have the power in your hands and you know what to do Let it be a physical barrier or a spiritual barrier let our Lord Jesus christ break it for you And the world watch it and cherish it
Great video. I’m trying myself with my youtube channel, but while I got about 100 subscribers in 1 year, my friend who started his atheist channel “Mindshift” around the same time now has 35,000 followers. He repeats angry “New Atheist” talking points, and this is the work that gets people’s interest nowadays. That’s how it is, sadly.
We had a now vocation director pitch a tent outside our city church with "ask a priest" sign and table and chairs. It was near Yale but he got people stopping by and asking questions. I thought it was pretty novel, they wont go in, so get them outside. ; ) He did have one success that way and some that said they will keep the door open. A priest said once that preaching to us in church is "preaching to the choir". He is right, we are there. We need to learn what Fr Casey is saying.
Father Casey great message in Perth Western Australia I belong to a great ministry called YouthCARE school chaplains in state schools our rule is to serve not be serve Im in two schools in low economic areas we provide breakfast club before school, food hampers and pastoral care
Fr.Casey you are correct - yet one at a time is great. Luke 15:7-10 *.... there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who REPENTS than over ninety nine righteous persons who need no REPENTANCE* . One at a time - one at a time - making sure the ground is fertile for deep-rooted growth in Faith. 😉
I was away from Mass for 27 years. I came back after two strokes and a dream from Jesus. I was one of the 99. Now I am of the 1.
Michael you are not going to find alot in a Mass . So focus solely on Jesus and you will be ok
Praise the Lord

I served in Kuwait. The Marines, Sailors and soldiers had a Navy Priest. They held Mass everyday in the main compound tent. They had a Protestant chaplain but not he was in a cushy area in Bahrain. The Catholic chaplain was always in the thick of it with his men and women. The Catholic Priest would interact with us by making sure we had an enough water. A year later I signed up for RCIA. Part of my family was Catholic and I was raised by a second generation Irish Catholic family in daycare. The point is the priest led by example
Thank you for your service. Welcome home.

I am a Baptist in a church, that is dying, we need this message, God bless you.
Father, I'm a teen girl, and I LOVE your videos! I enjoy them. I learn from them. I pray for you every day, as I know that all priests need prayer.
@nigelscales2319 Thanks for the encouragement. That means so much! Praying for you.

Great message for one of the 99 who has started to relook at the catholic church.

Vatican 2 is responsible for "modernizing" the habits. This resulted in nuns wearing pantsuits, priests casting off their cassocks and Roman collars.

Most Priests don’t where there clerics outside of the Church
You have set my alarm off with practical action. Thank you! 🙏
Fr, I really love what you shared this morning.
You Fr Kessy is a hope of the church. Please continue your mission
So many Catholics will not defend their Faith. I made up my mind many years ago to never turn down an opportunity to explain and defend the Church.
wow, what u r doing is really amazing. more power to you & may God bless u more sis.

The *Big* question is - how do Roman Catholic *Christians* spread the word to other denominational Christians that CATHOLICS are *FIRST DEGREE - ORIGINAL CHRISTIANS* , when the Evangelicals (born again Christian preachers/pastors) are openly spreading the false narrative on air on TV all over the West etc.AND no strategy by the RC church to counter these false teachings that Catholics are:
* NOT Christians
* Do NOT read the bible (as the hierarchy with-hold biblical knowledge from the flock)
* R.C. preach false Christian doctrine
* R.Catholics preach 'Replacement Theology' contrary to biblical fact.
Every Evangelical organisation has it's own special charismatic front man woman which draws in the *CROWD*
Fr. 😉

Looking at the entire big C Church, what I continuously think to myself is, "I wish these guys would just get over themselves and let their ego and bias go."
Very plainly this butting of heads between each Christian group over who is right, or most right, or spiritually based, or scripturally based, etc just hurts the people who simply want to hear the good news and follow God's word.
Thanks Fr. We can do this! We need to, no one else will.
I love the Fest! I want to go back again this coming year in August. The mass ay the end of the night is, one word WOW!
This is so true Fr Casey, that’s exactly what people need right now, we need to meet them were they are at and not where we want them to be !! I also found that young passionate christians as leaders are very powerful as leaders for small groups for example. They inspired me to get to know the Lord
John 15:16

This is probably your best conference. Good one. Really, really good one. My parish: been an active member for nearly 25 years. Our current priest here for 12 years. Doesn’t know my name. Suggested a ‘bring a friend to church’ Sunday. Shot it down. “Not if they’re not Catholic. If they’re ‘fallen away’ they need to see me first.” But he’s never home. A distinct lack of imagination or will in parish after parish. I’m willing, able and ready to go. The clergy is the wall.

You knocked at the wrong door. Their lamp is empty. Consider orthodoxy.
Christians have to claim the Gospel and the relevant part today is :

Visible signs of faith. I love that. And to meeting people where they are. Just like Jesus did ❤️
I love the FEST, it’s on a seminary campus, it has Christian music, food, tents with sponsors, confessions, and the mass, everything you would want as a Catholic.

Thank you!
That is so beautifully explained, we are all send to evangelized the world.
God Bless 😊
I go to a church that is really loud before and after mass while inside the church. I'm not sure why nobody says anything but I feel it has to do with being more welcoming to others and allowing them to see that it is a good and welcoming place. Although it is tough to sit there when you know God is present yet these people are so loud and talkative while in the presence of the lord. :(
The New Order Mass often makes it impossible to pray. You will not have that problem at a Traditional Latin Mass parish.
The Novus Ordo does NOT make it impossible to pray. The TLM crowd are so self-righteous and holier than thou and disobedient to the Pope. Glad the TLM is being curtailed.

I like this video. I've gotta learn to evangelize with care but without fear.❤
God bless you, fr. Casey
One thing I find we lack in our Church is getting together and creating a form of togetherness. You go to a Church, Noone bothers to even say hallo after mass! This is terrible when you are new in a place - we need to do more. Thanks Fr for talking about this🙏
yup. i can go to mass for a whole year and literally no one will say a word to me except excuse me because i'm in their way
More conservative Catholics say that is "protestant" type of thing.
Free food and fun are always good ways to attract people from all walks of life.
Most church functions, at least at ours, for young/teens etc is advertised in our bulletin. They wont see that. My daughters wont go to "Theology on tap" type things because she isn't very conservative and feels she'll be the odd one. It's not that simple many times.
You're calling me out, father! I don't often get out of my comfort zone with strangers.
I need to do that more, I am friendly but shy away from politics always and religion. I hate when someone offers to help me with groceries when unloading car and it's a JW because they are nice but they also are evangelizing. I am kind but not switching. ; )

Thank you

This is a home run here, Father. Well done.
Awesome. Brilliant content. God bless you Gather Casey 🙏🙏🙏.
No on in the orthodox Church is called "too conservative". I wonder why.
Some products sell on their own merit, religion requires a sales team. The products sold by religion vary depending on the person buying.
Great video.
Great message and thank you for such useful suggestions on how to get started.

Catholics have a God given duty to know our faith and spread it infallibly to the world.
Jesus youth
Brilliant once again!
Make a friend, be a friend, bring your friend to Christ. Cursillo.
its a new perspective thank you for sharing.
Thanks. Great video
Superb Fr. Casey. God bless you. Always love your uploads. May I have some pdfs. Thank you
I think it is also important to emphasize that God is also at work in the lives of those who are outside the Church, that they are not alone and worthless.
I will try to evangelize at school! I’m currently sick but once I get back I will evangelize!
. . . amen . . .
Honestly the best I could do is help my cousins, and immediate family members To contain staying consistent in their walk with God.
I want to say: you are totally orthodox, but trying to avoid the traps of spreading ideology instead of the
gospel.
For those of you who are keen enough to notice, there is an apparent injunction against such things in scripture
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Mathew 6:5,6 KJV
So why would I take a different tack?
I would like to call all the catholic priests in the world to redo the jericho walls breaking ceremony as mentioned in
Joshua 6
With the new arc of the covenant
My dear priests you have the power in your hands and you know what to do
Let it be a physical barrier or a spiritual barrier let our Lord Jesus christ break it for you
And the world watch it and cherish it
Great video.
I hear you. 😢
Your videos seem interesting, I’ll consider subscribing :)
