San Diego Zoo prepares to send giant pandas back to China

The San Diego Zoo is getting ready to say goodbye to its giant pandas. After more than two decades, they're sending the last of its two giant pandas to China at the end of a multi-year loan arrangement. Jamie Yuccas got a behind-the-scenes look at the exhibit ahead of the bears' departure.

@@bzb_ I saw Ling-Ling and Sing-Sing at the National Zoo in Washington DC 30 years ago. I saw the Pandas at Zoo Atlanta 20 years ago. I really wanted to go to San Diego! The ultimate adventure would be to go to China and become a Panda nanny!!!

shows that size doesn’t matter, Gao Gao(second father panda) was much smaller than Bai Yun(female). They successfully had 5 offsprings through natural mating.

I went to the San Diego Zoo 3 times during my vacation times. Gee, I'm gonna miss those bamboo-loving bears. Hopefully either some new animals or new pandas will move into the panda exhibit sooner or later. Twinkling Monolophosaurus!🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼

I was at the SD zoo in May and I looked everywhere in the Panda area for them. I finally asked an employee, “Where are the pandas??”
She said, “They went back to China.”
“What!?! When??”
“A few weeks ago.”
“NO! No God! Please God No! No! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”

🙏 Thank You So Much San Diego Zoo for taking good care of these endangered panda bears! Please have checks on the panda bears in the Memphis Zoo , looked like they have being abused , sick & neglected! Better contact the China Zoological Dept to take back these suffering panda bears in the Memphis Zoo for immediate & approriate medical treatments! 🙏🕯🌏🕊

@GISLEY ALVES, China charges is still lower than what the zoo earns in a year. The Pandas in USA zoo make more monies that help in the upkeep of the other animals and workers.
