Hi Andrew, great video. Point 7 in the video talks about the front and back illuminated VW logo being available on the Tayron in Europe. Can you point me to where you found this out as the specs on the VW UK website suggest only the front logo is illuminated. I can find no reference to the rear logo. I might just be missing something, but i'd appreciate you sharing where you found this out because i'm wondering if the rear illuminated logo is only for mainland Europe and not the UK. Thanks.
Thanks Mark. I've looked at the UK configurator and can't see a mention as you say but on the VW UK media site there is a press release issued by VW Germany which states front and rear illuminated badges. It would be unusual if there was differentiation between Europe and UK spec -we do get differences but generally they are to do with options not standard bits. I am sure I've seen illuminated rear badges on ID models here in the UK so there is no legislative reason why it wouldn't come with UK Tayrons. www.vwpress.co.uk/press-kits/1076
@@volkswizard@volkswizard Hi Andrew, Thanks for the link. Reading through it, somethings else popped out at me. The write up mentions Travel Assist, which also does not appear on the UK Web site spec, it seems to have been replaced with Traffic Jam Assist as part of the driver assistance package. It's all a bit confusing, especially when considering placing an order for one. Do you know anyone within VW that you could reach out to for clarification on these issues?
I've done a bit more playing around with the build configuration tool on the VW UK website. It appears the lower trim levels do get front and rear illuminated badges. However, the moment you upgrade to one of the headlight options, you lose the rear illuminated badge, which means the two top trim levels can never have the lit rear badge because they come standard with upgraded headlights. It's very odd.
