6 weeks ICU, on a ventilator and sedated for about a month. My highest fever was 105.1, lowest oxygen sat was in the 70s. (Below 90 is alarming.) I developed sepsis which 3 rounds of antibiotics couldn't knock out but a round of steroids did. Everyone was sure I was a goner, any day now they'd be having my funeral. Ha. But God seemed to say, 'Ok, that's enough. Y'all are pounding my door with prayers for Jessica. Ok, you can keep her longer." I started improving in May 2021 and then was discharged to a nursing home so I could regain the strength to walk again. I came home at last after 2.5 months. I was still weak but getting stronger all the time. Now I don't even need a walker. Glory to God! Once again he saw me through.🙌🏻
Here I am leaving the hospital at last! I didn't know my 16 year old son was waiting for me outside. I couldn't talk yet but I hugged him and cried. I'm a single mom and my friend/emergency contact took him in. I cried because I hadn't seen him except via video call for 6 weeks and because I could only see him briefly because they were taking me to a nursing home 62 miles away via ambulance (not with sirens). 4 weeks later to the day I came home. ua-cam.com/video/VmUXNp6k-Us/v-deo.html
