It’s hard enough without worrying about all collectibles. I was nowhere near this good until I had completed messiah and did a full collectibles run. And I still think i’d probably miss a few if i attempted this. So just beware this is way harder than it seems. Good luck.

@@vissar This is true, but Outlast 2 and Outlast 1 have inconsistent "game logic" that some people might resent Outlast 2 for. an example is the relatively peaceful inmates of Outlast 1 vs the villagers in Outlast 2 who will almost always attempt to kill you if you pass by too close. There are also doors in Outlast 1 that lead directly to files or prisoners within rooms next to those files who you can safely pass, whereas in Outlast 2 you kinda have to lure them out first. Outlast 2 also places a greater emphasis on stealth and cover usage that you didn't have to rely on in Outlast 1. All this to say, I still love Outlast 2 and think it's a great game. I just think that maybe, they should have done a better job acclimating players to the differences between the 2 games.
@TheChocoboRacer I can understand that but you also must understand the major difference between Miles and Blake’s circumstances in the two games. In Outlast 1, Miles is in a mental asylum containing inmates with various levels of violent inclination and hostility. Each inmate you encounter is supposed to be unpredictable in that you don’t know how they will behave. In Outlast 2, when in the village, EVERYBODY you encounter is under the control and influence of Knoth and Knoth wants Blake dead. And later on in chapter 2, everyone is under the influence of Nick and Laird. (who is too under the influence of Knoth) Therefore, it stands to reason that there will be far more hostile encounters in Outlast 2 given the different circumstances of the game.
The recordings near the end really go to prove how vulnerable Blake was compared to the other two protagonists who were able to retain most of their sanity. It didn’t help that Murkoff was repeatedly firing blasts of mind-melting energy in his vicinity, so he pretty much never stood a chance.
Yeah of course but Miles had completely lost his mind by the end of Outlast 1. That’s how he was able to become the host of the Walrider in the first place.
This is amazing skills and gameplay. I dont know why some people out bad/complaining comments to this guy's videos. This guy is an absolute expert at this. 🎉 I think these people are just extra jealous !!
Thank you! I do like The Evil Within but if I were to make a video on it, I think it would have to be segmented because of the sheer length of the game. More so, I would have to do it with an FOV mod because of how close behind the camera is to Sebastian

Hey awesome job man a few questions tho What was tongue that would grab you every now and again. also what was the scariest part for you when playing the game what part? I might have missed this one in the comments but how many times did you have to play to make it perfectly like this? Good job bro deff subing thanks 😊
All great questions :) Firstly, the tongue you are refering to belongs to the creature that pursues Blake during the school sections of the game. The creature represents Blake's perspective of Father Loutermilch (the man who molested and killed Jessica and framed her death as a suicide) The tongue is used to convey Loutermilch's perversion and predatorial nature. When playing the game regularly, there is nothing that really scares me anymore. However, when recording this video or even when playing the game on insane difficulty, I would say the entirety of chapter 2 is the most scary and intense on the account of Nick and Laird. Chapter 2 has some pretty unpredictable nature sometimes as well and the arrows that Laird fires can be difficult to avoid. As for your final question, I have finished this game a few dozen times (certainly far less times than the first game and it's DLC) and I have learned a lot during those playthroughs of course. I also practiced every section several times on nightmare difficulty before going for the messiah achievement (which requires the player to beat the game on insane difficulty without reloading the battery if you didn't know) and I also practiced heavily before recording this video (both on getting through sections/encounters as well as memorising where all collectibles are) I hope that answers all your questions and thank you for the kind words and for subscribing :)
Holy heck😭 you played so good, I keep dying so much in this game it’s not actually funny and I played on easy mode😭😭😭 I had to replayed a few scene so many times it was so repetitive and got boring
1:07:23 This part was always hard for me but I found a new strat while I was playing on nightmare difficulty, I then managed to beat it on insane mode in only a couple tries after!
Nicely done Just a question (since you must have done alot of playtroughts to make this possible) How does the healing system in this game works? I am confused about since the release actually In the first game you would heal overTime as long no enemies harm you again But here there's bandages, but looks like health regens a little but not fully...i'm not fully sure about it, always got me confused.
That's a good question :) I generally consider any kind of bleeding as damage. Such as when attacked by an enemy or when falling from too high. When Blake begins to bleed, your movement speed is inhibited and you must heal using a bandage. This is what I consider to be damage which is why you only see Blake bleed once during this whole playthrough which happens at 41:50. (This is unavoidable damage by regular means). There are other times as well throughout a regular playthrough however where you'll see a red aura on the screen but Blake isn't bleeding. This what eventually subsides without the use of bandages but can't really be considered as damage as it happens in any regular playthrough. I hope that all makes sense :)
For what i can tell from personal experience,it looks like the game was a damage system who heals by half, and healing items heal complety In normal difficulty after taking some hits, if you let blake rest (Aka standing still) the blood will go off the screen and you can continue playing However blake health is not fully completed, only the minimum to be considered okay. In normal for what i can tell you can still take 2 hits before being eliminated, meanwhile special enemies only 1 hit. And for higher difficultys you can only take 1 hit without healing yourself from normal enemies, and it's insta-kill on special enemies.
@@AuroraWhite28 Interesting :) I'm kinda inexperienced on normal difficulty so I'm not entirely sure but I consider this to be a successful run nonetheless :)
@@vissar this is actually a mechanic that wasn't used in alot of games where the player character can heal over time but not fully 100% and must find items to get health back to maximum I literally almost not see a game using this healing mechanic since gta 5, which is kinda interresting.
oh man. Outlast 2 is definitely more thrilling but I don't necessarily find either of them scary per se :) I always thought that Marta was severely underused in this game though, only showing up during the first and last chapters.
I ALMOST HAD IT IN MY HANDS. When Lynn is taking birth and Marta enters the hallway. I started running immidiately to the story path. And my pathing wasn't wrong. She just cutted me on corner and I died. I cant literally say anything.
I've tried it many times, and I keep finding Bugs or Glitchs 😂, 27:30 (When sliding after jumping) , 28:40 (As I slide like you), and 30:05 (Same), I lost my mind, I have to restart every time it happens ❤
I must have not payed attention but why at the end of the game the vultures and jessica wants to eliminate Blake? I thought they would want him alive...did i miss something or what?
@@vissar sorry if it was kinda confused I am from portugal so my english is rather broken But if that's the case then who is the woman that is the leader of the vultures? And more important why are they attacking blake in the end if they Saved him in some ocassions?!
@@AuroraWhite28 Oh you mean the heretics? Jessica is the girl seen in the school sections of the game and Val is the leader of the heretics. Is Val who you're talking about?
@@vissar yes val, why does at the end val and her people want to finish off blake even thought they saved him at the start and now they want to end it?
@@AuroraWhite28 I remember thinking about this too. I chalk it up to video game logic. I think canonically, Val was trying to capture Blake so he could witness the birth of his supposed child when he was in the mines but because this is during gameplay, they have no real way to convey that to the player so if you fail, it naturally results in a game over. Val kept Blake alive in the first chapter as they hoped they'd meet Blake again later on presumably for the same reasons stated previously. I hope this makes some sense. Another example of this logic occurring is seen in Outlast Whistleblower when Eddie Gluskin wants Waylon for his own deluded purposes but if the player fails to escape him before Eddies plans are revealed, we'll see Waylon get killed by him instead which directly contradicts his intentions. It's only after we as the player progress to the point where the game wants us to see his plans for Waylon, that we do. But because the only alternative to a game over is having Eddie capture Waylon which would result in the player skipping significant gameplay segments, we instead see Waylon get killed as a result of our failure even if it's not what Eddie would really do if he caught Waylon at that point in the story. Again, I hope that makes sense :)
how you play game in the dark ? its impossible, but its Amazing for watching Good gameplay, im from brazil i want coment this for you, you is the Best man
The game revolves around Blake’s post traumatic issues and his survivors guilt that he feels on account of it. The radio towers at temple gate which are built by the Murkoff corporation as part of an experiment facilitate him being reminded of these memories and experiences throughout the story. The messages that the games story conveys are actually very important. Despite the bitter sweet ending in which Blake loses his mind and succumbs to delusion, he learns that what happened to Jessica was not his fault and that he is not at all responsible for her death and abuse at the hands of Father Loutermilch. (The teacher) Towards the end of the game, his mission to save his wife Lynn becomes progressively more and more about saving Jessica despite “failing” to do so when he was a child. This is what I mean when I said succumbing to delusion. In the end, he completely loses his mind and deludes himself into believing he was able to save her.
@@vissar Its like the perfect excuse to put unreal characters and scenarios. I was playing Silent Hill 2 in first person but ridiculous like RE Village.

Oh man I’ve seen that before. You’re supposed to stay still for 2 seconds and then start moving so she doesn’t do a shortcut. Good luck :)
@@vissar That's so unlucky dude, I'm speechless. I'm not going to give up tho :)
@@vissarI got it. 100% both outlasts
@@Rapidzikiel01 that’s great man :)
I've tried it many times, and I keep finding Bugs or Glitchs 😂, 27:30 (When sliding after jumping) , 28:40 (As I slide like you), and 30:05 (Same), I lost my mind, I have to restart every time it happens ❤
What kind of glitches are you experiencing?
@vissar After those slides I cross the ground, and explore the entire map xd
You fall under the map?
@@vissar Yeah
I must have not payed attention but why at the end of the game the vultures and jessica wants to eliminate Blake? I thought they would want him alive...did i miss something or what?
I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you mean. Jessica was killed by Father Louthermilch 20 years before Blake gets to temple gate
@@vissar sorry if it was kinda confused
I am from portugal so my english is rather broken
But if that's the case then who is the woman that is the leader of the vultures?
I could never imagine playing Outlast 2 on the same camera battery you start with. The game is far too dark.
I think that’s the idea. It’s supposed to be a difficult achievement :)
Sad to think that the heretics were probaly to some degree the only "protectors" blake had in this game
I mean yeah but Val also tried to kill Blake in the mines.
@@vissar that's the weird part, guess they did the mines part to avoid the players to "Speedrun" by letting them doing their thing
Me watching this knowing that it took me 4 hours to finish this game while getting killed 7 times in regular mode: 💀😭
That’s not even bad for a first play through :)
@@vissar Oh, thank you! :D
Dear Vissar, Do you know if I can pause to take a breath, IG time is still counting? (For the Asahel Trophy) ❤
I’m sorry but I’m not sure. I suppose you could just close the game to stop the timer
the paul recording is bugged i swear , i completed all 107 collectible documents and recordings and steam couldnt obtain the achievement
That’s strange, man
44:19 my heart sink
how you play game in the dark ? its impossible, but its Amazing for watching Good gameplay, im from brazil i want coment this for you, you is the Best man
Thank you!
This game was so disappointing. I was so confused at the end that I didn't know which game I was playing. Felt like a Silent Hill ending.
It's good tho after you understand the story
The game revolves around Blake’s post traumatic issues and his survivors guilt that he feels on account of it. The radio towers at temple gate which are built by the Murkoff corporation as part of an experiment facilitate him being reminded of these memories and experiences throughout the story. The messages that the games story conveys are actually very important.
Despite the bitter sweet ending in which Blake loses his mind and succumbs to delusion, he learns that what happened to Jessica was not his fault and that he is not at all responsible for her death and abuse at the hands of Father Loutermilch. (The teacher)
Towards the end of the game, his mission to save his wife Lynn becomes progressively more and more about saving Jessica despite “failing” to do so when he was a child.
@@elhumorista what is??
@@vissar Is like everything can be possible because is the protagonist twisted mind. Also frustrating that nothing was really happening, nothing was actually real at the end. The 1st Outlast was more interesting and the ghost was at least real. "Whistleblower" was greate also. You were really escaping from real danger. Too different.
Hardest things in the world:
1) Blake's Glasses
2) Diamonds
3) Steel

Will you one day do a commentary version of this run?
Yes I will :)

11:05 In this Part The game was bugged, Lynn was still at the window, she could see her head from afar, I took the escape route and skipped the cutscenes LMAO 💀
Oh wow, really? You mean to say that Val and the Heretics never showed up?
@vissar Exactly, none of them appeared, I just ran to the Dock area, and ended up killed.

Aww I’m sorry. I’ll release one eventually! I had one at one point but wasn’t happy with it as it was unscripted :)
Why are the main character not getting tired while running non-stop?
Adrenaline. His life is under threat.
I'm sure you did it not once or twice in crazy mode, to get perfect game play
Yeah I had beat insane difficulty twice beforehand :)
outlast is so much funnier when you're just hauling ass the whole way
I agree
Ay bro, I hope you see this message. How many collectibles did u get? (Documents & Records) It's 105 I guess but some people say that it's 107 on Pc. (2 extra records or something) and your run is on pc. Do you remember? I'm trying to 100% Outlast 2.
I believe it’s 107. The reason the achievement/trophy list says 105 is because there originally was only 105 but they added two in an update and weren’t able to update the achievement description to say 107 :)
@@vissar Thank you so much, I cant describe my respect for you being that quiqk. I watched your whole run and I noticed that exact 2 records that were that missing "extra". You're awesome
