    I'm getting one. I learned the hard way not to fly (even though it's made to) my Tinyhawk 1 indoors. My cats, I found out, can jump up to 6-7 feet when motivated enough. Changed many props.

    Good review. I also started with Holy Stone 3 and a half years ago. Started with the HS200, then the HS100, and several other HS drones. All helped me to better understand the dynamics of flying a drone. I now fly DJI exclusively, and very much appreciate having started with Holy Stone. Saved me losing a lot of money had I started out with a much more expensive drone. To learn to fly, you are spot on. For taking video or shooting decent photos... No way with Holy Stone. Just not gonna happen.

      Well said, how funny, Holy Stone just sent me a HS200, let’s see how it does after 4 years (drone years are like dog years in tech) and yes, I own every DJI drone

    New subscriber and loving your channel! I have a question about training drones. Are there any small beginner drones like this or the HS450 that don’t have one-button take off and landing? Seems like a beginner drone should help you learn those very basic flight skills.

    • @b4ugo
      @b4ugo  3 роки тому +1

      With most drones you don’t have to use the take off button, you can pull down and in on the the joysticks and that will start the motors and then push up on the left joystick and then it takes off, that’s the way I always do it so I’m more in control, let me double check this one

    Hi James! My almost 8-year-old son told me he wanted a drone as a New Year present, and of course I started researching. Your channel is fantastic! I already watched your Vinci V8 review as it is my main candidate. Should I rather get the HS210? I like the easy to use battery and the enclosed props of the V8 more, but is there a really significant difference in flying? I’m going for the no camera version.

    • @b4ugo
      @b4ugo  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, the camera is pretty much worthless, the V8 is cheaper right now and it is much easier to put the batteries in and comes with a nice case. The 210 does fly just a little better but the V8 is a better deal.

    I have about 3 or 4 of those because the batteries cost so much it's almost cheaper to just buy another one. First drone I flew to learn how to fly out of headless mode. Then I went to fly my out door drones and it was so easy that I got bored fast except for the cameras. Also they make a 210 pro with a 720 camera but only available in Japan. I see your a good flyer, try challenging yourself "if you haven't already" flying it in a circle around you without moving your head. Also I did this, I shaved the front where the light is so it would be more visible and you can see it while the drone is on the ground without having it higher than your head. I also have 2 of the snaptain 350's I see you have. I don't like them much only because the batteries can be a pain in the a*s to put in. Get back to me I would like to hear from ya. Nice video by the way and very good advice.

And this is obviously compounded for more expensive costly high spec drones. You can see things cheaper on Amazon/Google/Ebay etc, but get a real shock when they arrive with a hefty import duty bill.

      The Hs210 flies a little more Precise, but the 450 has modular batteries. Both are great but I like the Hs210 a little more

    My husband and I each have had an HS210 for a couple years and both drones' behaviour have always been erratic, very drifty and needing to be extensively trimmed even though we're calibrating on level ground. Lately, the drones have taken a liking to punching up while landing, repeatedly hitting the ceiling and floor in the process. Doesn't matter if we're doing an auto-land or doing it manually, about 2/3 of the time, the drones just go crazy. In contrast, my husband has a Walmart toy mini which is much more stable. I was wondering if you might have any idea what could cause a toy drone to behave in this way.

      have they always done this??? maybe controllers are worn out...but also motors go bad and boards can go bad also...a lot of crashes can also take its toll... but if they were crappy from day one i think you may have gotten some lemons...

      Just Something about the HS 210 feels right, It’s the only mini drone that I think flies just like a big drone. It’s very precise

    • @b4ugo

      Yes, the 210 was made for indoor as a beginner drone. The 340 does pretty good outside in low winds.

    Around 6 minutes you talk about trimming but don’t say specifically what you’re pushing. Mine is drifting a good bit vs when I first started flying it.

      sorry, its one of the joysticks, i cant remember which one and have given all the 210's away, everyone loves flying them but yes, every once and a while you need to trim all micro drones. Thanks for watching.

    Red coming towards you, green going away. Thia drone id dyslexic. (This drone is dyslexic) Good practice for experienced pilots, bad practice drone for the new beginners. I would never teach any habit that those controls do not make sense. I feel Holy Stone got the forward back controls mixed. I feel the l.e.d red front/green l.e.d. rear is something you teach to any prospective pilots. The COLOR RED is coming towards you, for a REASON? Good for enjoyment for Pro's but, I would NOT Teach this to Fly all my future drone pilots. Please get a real dog. A German Shepherd Dog is less irrigating than yours. A drone pilot certification is best if your teaching or giving advice to others.
