It's tough to say, I would more look at the length and height of your dog. I'd like to say intermediate but it might be just a little too snug. my suggestion would be to measure your dog and look on the Gunner website at the measurements of both the Intermediate and Large Gunners.
I have the intermediate for my dogs. They only weigh 30lbs and the kennel is quite large. The intermediate is recommended for dogs up to 75lbs. The reason I got the intermediate versus the small was only because I wanted more room for the dogs while on road trips and longer drives. Hope this helps.
What size webmaster harness do you use for your cattle dogs? I measured mine and ruffwear recommended the medium. It looks a tad long on him but he is short bodied. I'm still trying to get him used to it. He's a front amputee and I've heard great things about these harnesses.
One wears an xs and other a small. Both can fit in both sizes. If you have lots of adjustment room in the straps of the medium and the size chart shows you might be on the higher size range of the small, you could go with the small and it won’t be so long on the back.
Not long. Everything was straight forward. It's 4 pieces. Top, bottom, door frame and door. I did use a tool to tighten the bolts that connect the top and bottom.
