- We visited Dubai Mall to see if Al Baik is OVERHYPED or NOT? Al Baik has been one of the busiest spots in Dubai Mall food court since it opened, known for its cheap eats and Al Baik fried chicken. But is Al Baik worthy of all the hype?
The only way to find out is to do an Al Baik full menu challenge, in this Al Baik food review, we tried the Al Baik fried chicken, Al Baik chicken brost, nuggets and any other cheap eats we could get our hands on.
And is Al Baik in UAE as good as the Al Baik in Riyadh Saudi Arabia? There's only one way to find, an Al Baik Taste Test

I had it in Dubai last month besides the nuggets it was really dry .The place was super busy though so clearly people love it 😊

The taste is not out of the world but it sure is value for money, especially the fish fillet.
Even carrefour and lulu fish fillet with fries is more expensive than Al Baik's.
Same goes for the chicken; 3 piece chicken is over AED30 at KFC and Popeyes while 4 pieces with drink is under AED25 here.

I thought the food apart from the chicken looked really dry .I would of been worried when I opened the boxes and they all looked the same .You get a lot of freebie’s so makes spending not to bad

Al Baik is amazing. It is not overhyped whatsoever, it's rated just fine (at present) imo. I think you would have rated Al Baik better if you had tried their Big Baik + if you had gotten everything spicy (regular/non-spicy is just not even half as good for me lol, for all items).
Hey Omar, yes I think I agree with you. The spicy was consistently better than the non spicy products and its at the right level of hype at present. Im glad I waited to try it so my expectations weren't so high. Thanks for watching

I have had this in Jeddah Saudi Arabia from Childhood. Its simply amazing.
Its traditional food of Saudia arabia and they are pioneer in it. I ate it in saudia in jedda city. It was big deal with tasty fish also

In Saudi Arabia I was living in Jeddah Al Baik spicy chicken meal is the best it is not as oily as I have seen in Dubai Spicy chicken in Saudi is best

You definitely have to go with spicy on all items as the marinade is the standout feature
For me, it's the best fried chicken I've had when combined with the garlic sauce. Popeye's comes close second while KFC, Tazaj, Chicking and Chowking are all kinda meh

Best fried chicken is Fakhry Chicken in Media City, lebanese broasted chicken. Its outstanding, get their potatoes as well
I miss this guy! Lately he just loves everything. He was much more likeable and trustworthy when he didn’t overhype everything
I like their Burgers. Haven't tried their nuggets yet, on the list next time.
In my opinion the Albaik in Dubai and the Albaik in Saudia Arabia have different tastes and looks, The chicken in Saudia is not that dark and alittle lighter. The taste of Albaik in Saudia is just different in a good way and is way better. It still surprises me that there is an Albaik outside Saudia Arabia, I mean Albaik is not located in every city of Saudia just mostly in Jeddah with 2-3 branches in Makkah and Medina

Here's the backstory: For decades AL BAIK used to only exist in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (then Mecca and Medina, the 2 Muslim holy cities). They refused to expand, even though they were insanely popular. And they only sold chicken pieces and fries. Even in the 90s, it was 10 RIYALS ($2.50 USD) for an entire box.. 4 large pieces of chicken, fries and a bun...and UNLIMITED insanely delicious GARLIC SAUCE (Thom).. you had to ask them to give you more garlic, and they would.

The popularity of the food is'nt necessarily about the taste. People support it because founder and owners continue to donate a percentage of every single sale to charity. That alone is enough reason to eat it, even if the food does'nt taste incredible.

Tasts of al baik is different in different areas of dubai.. i personality didn't like the al baik at dubai mall after trying it at al nahda... Al nahdas albaik gives a marvellous taste... And the ones in saudia are the original awesomes..

@@SMSid-in2pm I guess every person has their own opinion but for me I had Al Baik and KFC in Saudia several years ago during a trip, and had them a few days apart. And that KFC taste was just amazing, and honestly it edged out Al Baik slightly in my opinion. Of course others will disagree but that's what I experienced myself

Al Baik in UAE, super disappointing. Everything is frozen cooked food. The spicy sauce is in everything. Didn’t end up eating the order.

Spicy chicken and nuggets are garbage in Al Baiju Sharjah. Even the prawns and falafel nuggets are not even half as tasty as your local cafeteria. Over hyped garbage.

It is most definitely overhyped, and definitely not worth the queues you have to stand in. It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but there is much better food to be found in Dubai. I'd pick jollibee over this any day of the week.

how to make al baik the number one fast food
1. Only eat baik in restaurant because when it gets cold its bad
2. Order on delivery and pick it up in the restaurant if you don’t want to wait
3. Only rate albaik in jeddah and mecca
4. Use the bun they gave you to to make a nugget sandwich with garlic and nugget sauce
5. Try eating albaik with bread (only fried chicken)
You get a lot for your money .It looked very dry apart from the chicken

How to have the best experience at al baik :
Step 1 : buy the 4 peice al baik meal
Step 2 : ask for extra ketchup garlic sauce and buns
Step 3 : get a tiny or big peice of the bun
Step 4 : smack a few pieces of the broasted chicken and fries on the top of the piece of the bun
Step 5 : dip that little guy in ketchup and garlic sauce
Step 6 : eat
Step 7 : Congratulations you have reached the heaven of all taste buds

We had visited Al baik in Ajman city centre and TRUST me it was soooo horrible!! We ordered so many things as u have done and didnt like even one single thing!!wallahi!!!Even this though we orderd regular everything was spicy.. evrything was tasteless and mad salt was put in everything!!!
