I love this disco song. I was 4 in 1979. In the early 90s as a teenager, I remember this song being played on a local Sunday Night Dance Party show (3 hours commercial-free) live on the radio from a nightclub called Eclipse in Binghamton, NY. Born as a Gen Xer, I am 49 will be 50 toward the end of 2024. My late mother loved disco when she was in her 20s during the mid 70s to late 70s. I miss her very much! Great song, group, video and production! Kathy did a good job of hiding that she didn't like the "Please take me home" lyric. In later concert performances she changed it to "Please don't go home."

When Chic came out it was totally different. The music just fit your dance steps.. and I met this young lady, she had style and grace.. She was built like a model . We lived together and went out each weekend to house parties, discos, and parks were I see dee hated in the park. And it Chic with that classic guitar sound playing and you just hit the floor. Well that was 1979. Speed forward light years ahead two girls and now two boys and 42 years lady and it was this music that brought us together.. LB November 2021

If youre 51 , then you were only like 9 or 10 years old in 1979, so stop acting like you was out there Partying or going to the DISCO CLUBS in "79" fool !!!! LMAO
Your ass was just a little underage KID in 1979 , just like me, because i also am 51 right now, i was born in 1971, and i was only 7 going on 8 years old in 1979,
in other words , these old school songs were before our real Musical Times .
Our Musical Times were more like in the late 80's & 1990's Decades, when we became Teenagers in the 80's , & young Adults in our 20's during the 1990's decade .

@@entertainingsportshighligh7525 Negrodamus, stop pretending to know me or my life. This is ALL the music my parents listened to and taught me how to dance to. So I have an intimate knowledge of this genre/era even if you don’t. As well as others from the time period as a lot of us do. They’re called memories. Stop projecting yours on to me or better yet get your own and stop critiquing mine. Be well, fool..

When I was a little girl, I would stare at their album cover and imagine I could do anything. Songs like this gave me life. Sister Sledge was so beautiful and talented. Saturday mornings at my house with this album playing in the background while doing chores. Life was so simple and time stood still.
