They just had to ruin a good thing. But now, it wouldn't be as special as it is without it happening
💥Looking back, it amazes me to see how women's modesty (in clothing)was back then. Sister Sledge, were four young women almost covered head to toe and were sensations. Now female entertainors are almost naked calling themselves Stallions, and ' B's..
I was 15 when this song was released. My parents would drop me off at the Disco in Miami and id dance the night away with friends! Great memories of a free and fun time in the world!
Great and simple times they were.. I grew up in Switzerland - musically and culturally about as advanced as North Korea back then.. so I never had the pleasure of experince the great times in the US.. but we lived through the TV and pretended to be 'there".. still great times they were (nothing to this turmoil going on now).

I love this disco song. I was 4 in 1979. In the early 90s as a teenager, I remember this song being played on a local Sunday Night Dance Party show (3 hours commercial-free) live on the radio from a nightclub called Eclipse in Binghamton, NY. Born as a Gen Xer, I am 49 will be 50 toward the end of 2024. My late mother loved disco when she was in her 20s during the mid 70s to late 70s. I miss her very much! I am feeling the disco/dance vibe like that I in a nightclub dancing with people on the floor. Party on 2024!

HI NRG and the BREAK DANCE craze of 83/84. Then we hit HOUSE Music and DiSCO had its revenge. But WITHOUT DISCO none of this would have happened
So you just gonna leave out Diana Ross's biggest solo album "Diana" produced by the man Niles. I'll even included Madonna, "Like a Virgin" it wasn't disco but it had that Niles magic. I know it was 80s, I'm an 80s kid. ;)

When Chic came out it was totally different. The music just fit your dance steps.. and I met this young lady, she had style and grace.. She was built like a model . We lived together and went out each weekend to house parties, discos, and parks were I see dee hated in the park. And it Chic with that classic guitar sound playing and you just hit the floor. When I was a little girl, I would stare at their album cover and imagine I could do anything. Songs like this gave me life. Sister Sledge was so beautiful and talented. Saturday mornings at my house with this album playing in the background while doing chores. Life was so simple and time stood still.

Our Musical Times were more like in the late 80's & 1990's Decades, when we became Teenagers in the 80's , & young Adults in our 20's during the 1990's decade .

When I was a little girl, I would stare at their album cover and imagine I could do anything. Songs like this gave me life. Sister Sledge was so beautiful and talented. Saturday mornings at my house with this album playing in the background while doing chores. Life was so simple and time stood still.
