Welcome back to Kels and John and to Part 2 of our Moving to Florida series!
In this video, we share with you the second part of our moving to Orlando, Florida journey which entails a much shorter drive on this day from Wilmington, NC to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina!
This is a Disney Vacation Club Resort on Hilton Head Island where we had a 1 bedroom villa. Spoiler we absolutely loved it! After checking in and taking you on a quick tour of our Disney's Hilton Head 1 bed villa, we explore the grounds, grab a margarita (because what's a vacation without a margarita?!) and then have some pool time! So much fun! We then watch the most beautiful sunset either of us have ever seen - hope you enjoy these scenes from Disney's Hilton Head Resort!
We turn in to our Disney Resort for the night, enjoy our 1 bedroom villa including the jacuzzi and then it's time for an early night.
The next day was a big one! Our next video will document our drive from Hilton Head down to Orlando (via Walt Disney World) on the final leg of our moving to Florida journey! Will our Orlando apartment live up to expectations?? Stay tuned for the next video to find out!

That's it Hilton head island and Wilmington are both on my bucket list. You'll definitely have to go back to stay at the Disney resort again. That peach wine sounds right up my street, don't know if you did but save the bottle for a candle to remember your stay. Well done on getting another vlog out so quickly x

Found your channel today randomly and love it!!! I have been watching your vlogs from the point of where you announced you were moving and then the rest.. I plan to go back and catch up on your older vlogs also... We also moved to Florida a year ago and it was quite the adventure. We moved from Ohio and drove down with a 23ft moving truck, (my husband learned really quickly how to Drive one LOL) and I led the way in one of our cars. We drove down in two days and had really long driving days.. Wish we had of stopped for a fun little adventure along the way, makes the moving process more fun... We got to our new condo that we rented by seeing photos online and it was really nice accept the walls needed painting and the whole place smelled of spices from the folks that lived there before us who must have cooked with aromatic spices... Soooo we literally drove 8 hours on our 2nd day and jumped in the car and went to Lowes and bought paint and a ladder and supplies and $500 Later!! We started painting a 1,400 sq foot 3 bedroom condo and slept on the living room floor for about 2 hours before the moving company showed up to unload our moving truck that we drove down. (Great tip, we learned on UA-cam, if you have a lot to move, hire professional movers to load your rental truck and then hire more to unload it! Best money we every spent!! They are amazing at packing things into at truck and lots less work for us!!). So we literally painted all night long and then after our things were carried into the condo, we got in the moving truck and literally drove from Jacksonville, Florida back up to Charlotte North Carolina and returned the moving truck there because it was $1,000 cheaper to return it North Carolina!! Then we jumped on a plane and flew back to Ohio where we got in our other car that we parked at the airport before we moved and drove the whole drive AGAIN!! This time we drove straight thru!! And we got home in time to have 3 hours of sleep and then got up and worked the next day from our new condo in the middle of moving boxes!!! We definitely didn’t have the fun moving experience you have had up to this point LOL I envy your experience!!! Loving your channel and your personalities are fun!!! We moved to Florida to be closer to Disney also!! We love Disney and also wanted to live near the ocean so Jacksonville was our pick because we can travel all over the state and explore so many areas.. We are currently in West Palm Beach enjoying the Beach life!!! And will be stopping for a few days in Disney on our way home in a couple weeks.. You are going to love living in Florida.. It’s the best decision we ever made!!!

Hilton Head is beautiful. The resort slightly reminds me of Alligator Bayou at Port Orleans Riverside due to how quiet and peaceful it is. Lastly, loved seeing the sign that shows the distance of each DVC resort.
That’s just what it reminded us of too! Very scenic and peaceful. Loved it!
I enjoyed this video so much! We used to vacation on HHI but haven't been in almost 10 years. We always stayed in Palmetto Dunes which is right across the highway from Disney's HHI resort and where Disney's Beach house is. There is so much to explore in the area and when you rent bikes the trails are endless. One of the bike trails takes you under the highway on the way to Palmetto Dunes. Shelter Cove is the marina next to the DVC resort and there are restaurants and places to shop. You definitely need to go back and enjoy all that HHI has to offer. We hope to stay at this DVC resort someday. Can't wait to see the rest of your adventures on your way to Orlando.

My cousin and his family just randomly (and so generously) sent us The Jungle Cruise game that they picked up at the Magic Kingdom! We were so excited! My husband worked as a Jungle Cruise Skipper during his time in college program--- we haven't had a chance to play it yet but can't wait to try it out!

Love the resort 😍 it doesn't have the hustle and bustle of the park resorts. It has that laid back lake cottage type vibe. And those storms!!!!! That's some of my favorite sleep weather 😌
Exactly! It was JUST what we needed in the midst of all the moving chaos! YES - love me a good storm. We've seen a couple of good ones down here since we moved too!
Don't know about you guys but that thundery-rainy night looked stunning, and I probably would've slept right through it I find rainy nights with rain drops clashing against my windows the most relaxing nights of my life. I feel like it's literally cleansing away my day. I love how u know all the little hidden gems in Welmington thanks to shows like One Tree Hill lol. The Hilton Head Island Resort gave me major disney chills, which I never thought would happen because I just always thought those places were more like leisurely and less Disney, more like quaint little resorts with Disney touches as it pertains to service and experience. but Wow it was such a beautiful resort and the room was beautiful!!! When the Resort Channel popped on I was like omgggggg
Love a good thunderstorm! This was so loud though, it woke us both up. Love the sentiment there, will think of you next time there’s a big storm!

My husband and kids and I went there for 16 years. We stayed on the beach in the Island Club. You've got to go to Coligny Plaza, was one of my favorite places and Sea Pines

Play by play time again - Should I admit I've never seen One Tree Hill? Oops. *singing SAINT ELMO'S FIIREEE* I've been looking forward to seeing Disney's Hilton Head. I would've SO opened one of those little drawers on the wall display in the lounge area. lol Work at a Disney place. I feel ya. Had to leave Primetime Cafe once to take a business call (that was the one "phone a friend" they got during my trip). Hehe, the guy on the stairs dancing to the HSM3 music. To be so tired but be so excited for what the next day was going to bring to you....looks like another day of adventure ahead!

I’m so ready for the next segment! So smart to take the full week off for moving. There’s always so much to do. And all of my moves in the last 10 years were within basically the same two adjacent zipcodes. Only time I moved that far, I only had a suitcase worth of stuff I took with me.

Love the one bedroom at Hilton head. But to let you know, that was a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. Thank you for showing that room as we are thinking of going and our daughter is in a wheelchair full time.

Maybe the “South of the Border” roadside area was the notice that you’ve switched from North to South Carolina. Road trips are such fun, I’m grateful to tag along with you and see places I’ve never been. And you do find some interesting towns and eating spots.

@@KelsandJohn South of the Border is the Starting Point entering South Carolina hence its name, South of the Border. It used to be a fun place visit or stay Many Decades ago. Now, I heard it's pretty much trash. So glad you guys are making a fun Road trip as you head to Florida. As a long time native New Yorker, my wife and I will be relocating to Florida in a couple of months. Unfortunately, we plan to fly which is a mere 2 hr 20 min flight to Orlando. Enjoying your journey from NY to Florida! I was just curious - were face coverings required while lounging by the pool and/or all public areas? I noticed when people were walking by you when you were playing the bingo game that they were wearing them. Can't wait to watch Part 3!
Thank you! The rule of thumb was that you wear a mask at all times walking around the resort (just like Walt Disney World) but you don't need to if you're eating or drinking/lounging by or in the pool. Hope you enjoy the next chapter!

Hilton Head is soooo beautiful!!! Highly recommend it as somewhere to visit! Thank you! The suit actually has a super subtle hidden Mickey on the hip haha! I bought it at Disney!

My dad lives in Wilmington NC we love going to visit we are from New Jersey :-) we go to Orlando florida more 💖 never stayed at the Disney property in South Carolina we are dvc members too going to maybe check it out not on our list to do but maybe one day I rather go to FL or CA lol or overseas we went to Disney Paris last year and were supposed to go to back over seas to the Disney land Tokyo but we’ll try next year now
