    Cool, exactly what I was looking for. One question that I can't answer myself... How does a syn cord works? I mean, how does it send the signal to your hotshoe adapter and the rest of your setup, to trigger the flash? I have a Yashica 635 and would like to try this but in my mind, there is no electrical signal from the camera to the flash... (a real headscratcher) Thanks :)

    Thanks. I was missing a step. I want to be able to take test images with my Fuji digital and then follow up with the film camera with the same settings. I wasn't aware of the pc socket to hotshoe converters that make this possible.

    How does the sync port mechanism work? Does it fire when the shutter opens? Or is it going to fire right before the shutter closes?

    Sorry should have read down a bit..My transmitter has a PC port. But is a PC cable generic? Can I just buy one or are they size specific? Again I have a ....Well, a Yashica 635 and a Canon F1 that I am really interested in hooking up my Yongnou (I hope I finally got that right lol) remotes and flashes. Do I need different cables for both cameras?

    I have a yongnue transceiver with yongnue IV flashes. Should I not only need the PC Cable for my 635?

    Genius idea! Will this work on my Canon Ftb and Minolta X-700? I have original flash units for both of them. What materials are needed to set up wireless flash?

      Just check your terminals on your flash and on your camera. Find converters if necessary to hook everything up

    Hi, Thanks for the video. I was just wondering what mode do you set your flash to. Can it only work in manual or can will it work in ettl too. I'm using a bessa r4m and a yn568ex ii.

    • @jrdaveblah

      Manual only with this camera. the camera just tells the flash (what ever is connected to the pc port) to trigger and does not send any more information than that.

    Hi, awesome video first off all. I have a question does any electrical current go through the pc cable and if it does could it damge my speedlight if i connect it direct to it?

    • @jrdaveblah
      @jrdaveblah  5 років тому

      No it will not damage it. Cameras were designed to be connected directly to flash setups

    What's the difference between yashica D and B as I've inherited a B and for the life of me i cannot find anything about the B version?? It's in mint condition and has the lenses and is in a brown leather case. It's dated 1961 by my late dad and just trying to find out some information about it as I think it's the poor man's rollflex!!

    • @jrdaveblah
      @jrdaveblah  9 років тому

      the B version has needles around lens to set speed and aperture. the version D has more setting but uses knobs. heres a link of my video showing the features of the D ua-cam.com/video/H7T_0sYGuD4/v-deo.html

      I need information about the B version?? Can I still get the 120 film as it states this is the only film you can use for this model and if so how much for the film. What kinda price does a Yashica-B fetch today?? Cheers....

    thanks! so i need a hot shoe even though my trigger has a pc port on it?

    • @jrdaveblah
      @jrdaveblah  9 років тому +1

      if your Transceiver (which send a signal to the receiver that trigers your flash) has a PC port then you don't need a hot shoe adapter. there are different end terminals on cables (shown on the video) incase you don't want to but converters.

      It all depends on your gear and cabels/adaptors
