Y’all just keep getting better & better! There are times when I think ur voice is too pretty for a song & then u knock it out of the park!!! Great job 👏 🎊 🎉
Agreed, totally amazing. I've seen interviews with Neil talking about how hard the drums are in this song. If Neil Peart says it's hard, I tend to believe that.
One does not simply “cover” Neil Peart, you either do a bad job or you show that you care and do what I just witnessed. Slow, amazed clap, with that weird stare that says “I can’t believe what I just saw”. Bravo. Everyone else was amazing as well. Between you guys and Liliac I have hope for the future of TALENTED rock musicians.
Man I love this. I'm an older guy, and seeing this new generation of fantastic musicians pay tribute to a band that was so important to me when I was younger warms my heart. What's best about this is that they deviated just enough to make it interesting (those harmonies!), but keep the original's soul. WELL DONE!
Out freaking standing the drummer and the lead guitarist hell the whole band jams like crazy. I'm hooked with this band. I'm addicted really bad. Amazing
I’m a veteran and musician, and rock music plays an integral part in my life. You guys and lady, did real justice to this song. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very SPOT-ON performance by all of you! You kicked ASS!!!
When I saw this I was thinking to myself, "Aw shit, another Tom Sawyer cover" but you guys really nailed it. Mad props to Audra, she took it to another level without just trying to sound like Geddy Lee.
Outstanding! Neil Peart would be proud of your percussion execution! Bass and guitar on point, and beautiful Audra slayed the vocals styling! And the 70's synth was awesome.
Couldn’t agree more. This is excellent and I hardly ever hear anyone attempt to cover the holy trinity of rock. 2112 is still my fave from when both learned we loved it years ago. Tom Sawyer is literally almost perfect as far as Rush songs go and I think now I learned the only way it could be improved upon (at least for me) was female vocals. I really enjoyed hearing the emotional inflections in her voice in this one and the overlaid harmonies. It managed to improve upon the original song for me while still keeping the spirit of the original. Listening to their early stuff (which was still good, mind you) you can tell they’ve come so far as a musical group.
Not sure why it has taken me this long to find you guys but my god. Your covers are out of this world! Every single one is a masterpiece. Well put together and I love how you always stick as close to the original as much as you can. Definitely a hardcore fan now!
Jeezus that was good. Terrific performance, vocals, drums, bass, guitar - all top drawer. I'm Canadian and I guarantee Rush would love it I love it! Outstanding!!
There aren't too many bands who will cover Rush songs, for obvious reasons. And I will admit, I was expecting a total Shitshow. Thank you for proving me wrong. You folks just absolutely killed it. The vocals were killer. The harmonies added a flavor that's never been a Rush thing. But, it sure added to the vocal package. I love it.
have to admit. Grew up on Rush and you guys nailed it with a level of which I would listen again and again. Loved it! thank you for not only doing it right, but doing it justice.
Thank you! Rush has been my favorite band since 1976 (2112 album). Few bands cover Rush because they created great, but very challenging to play music. Props to all members of the band for an excellent cover of a great song that is a challenge to play.
Rush is my favorite band as well, ever since hearing Limelight on the radio on the way to school one day in 10th grade. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in Texas in 2004. If you haven't heard Allegaeon's Rush covers, definitely check those out! They're certainly among the best, if not the best, Rush covers ever made.
I was 19 & loved Rush , they were my generations rock& roll icons. This band did a very righteous salute to the song, band & spirit of the music. I salute them. 🤘
The cover is fantastic, the band did great, and the video is well done with the camera work and editing. There's something about that coloring/filtering that is so cool. Also, her rasp every time she said "catch" gave me chills. LOVE it!
I definitely came into the comments hoping to see love for Sam and his drums and Audra adding some distortion into her voice. I don't think I've ever heard her break her voice like that and it was surprising. Super great job to everyone, Bass and guitar were top notch too!
No, they are not, but it is still a great effort. For example, the quads played by the drummer in the solo section are played incorrectly, they are quads for a reason, not single-stroke 4s.
Absolutely outstanding!!! I love Rush and you guys unlocked a new level of awesomeness with this cover!!! Big shout out to Mr. Gilman for the amazing drumming!!! Love y'all!!! 😍 PS: who's old enough to remember that this song is from the soundtrack of the first version of the show MacGyver?
The energy, extreme talent of all the musicians and singer is just mind blowing to me! Everything is so tight and spot on!! I love how they always put their own flair on each cover! OUTSTANDING!!!
What I absolutely love about Audra is her ability and skill at annunciating the lyrics to all these cover songs. Often I’m like, ‘oh that’s what they were singing!’. I was lucky enough to see Rush live. Best live performance I have seen in my life. #2 was Linkin Park. I was surprised the demographic spread both concerts drew. Fans from 80 to 8 were there.
Wow, wow and a thousand times Wow! Amazing Audra's evolution, her voice, even her body movements dancing in the wave finally released! Ryan even dares with keyboards, replacing Sam! Sam, oh my gosh, this is the first time I've ever felt like I sounded like Tool's drummer!!!! And Matt, if he's brave and dares to discover it, he has the conditions to be a new Jimmy Page... I'm an old rocker, maybe too old, who knows what the hell Time is... Since the first time I heard First to Eleven, over 2 years ago, was a shock. I felt deep down that they were some very special talented guys. Something very rare that I had already experienced and I thought I would never discover in more musicians. And I thought, but they're just kids! How is it possible! During these two years something inside me refused to believe it was true. Now what I say with amazement is that not only have you not disappointed my initial crush, but in each new song you break the limits of my expectations and you teach me to love bands that I already thought I loved. Thank you, just thank you
From one old rocker to another, I agree with all that 👆 very well put. F211 are something really special. I wish they'd tour near me (the UK) I'd buy tickets in a heartbeat

I hope you are lucky and you can see this wonderful band in the UK as soon as possible. 🤘
Very nice comment CDCY. Your statement about bands you love reminded me that F211 teaches me to love bands I had no idea I would love. Their covers/versions are so "clear" or something, I just have a way easier time hearing what the song is about. Remarkable as their covers are completely faithful to the originals imho.
