Ai in another 5 years. Scary.
Man, AI has made some insane leaps lately, scary stuff.
I actually didn't know AI could already do that. Holly f 😮
I noticed many of the Chopin titles are wrong: for instance at 8:45 that's op. 64 n. 3, definitely not op. 1, and obviously 11:22 is not the nocturne op. 9 n. 1 (and there are more mistakes).
Anyway I tried guessing together with the video, I can recognize 100% of them with 99% confidence. AI audios now sound very realistic, but the music itself doesn't make sense, it either gets stuck and goes nowhere for an uncomfortably long time, or it goes too many places, and when this doesn't happen, there are still rhythmic and technical issues. AI still doesn't understand the concept of a musical phrase, so it is very easily recognizable most of time. When it's an audio made by a human, most of the time you can _immediately_ tell, because of the natural expression and the memorable melodies. That being said, if you select very specific *and* very short extracts, there are some cases in which it's basically impossible to tell, especially if you try to compare with contemporary music or bad human music. Of course, if you know that Chopin basically only composed music for only piano and very few orchestral pieces, and you know that he had a romantic style of composing, you'll very easily classify as AI a piece like the one at 17:07, but if you have to guess among all possible composers, it's not as immediate of a guess. So what I'm trying to say is that it might become more difficult to recognize in the future. This does feel like a "GPT-2" level of AI, which also shared some of the issues (like repeating the same sentence over and over)
