That part of the song makes me feel sad, alone and for two reasons: one; I didn't had any actual friends to hang out with and never was popular in school.
And two; before COVID-19 happened, back in 2018 and right before I went back to college for the final year, I lost a good friend who suffered from bipolar and schizophrenia. He had been arrested a few times. I never saw him again ever since then.

When I first heard this song as a kid, I initially thought that it was Boyz II Men as they were prominent in R&B. It took me more than 2 decades to realise that it is actually N Sync. It threw me off guard coz they’re more on fast tempo songs. Nevertheless, the nostalgic value of this song is priceless and their voices are really majestic.
