Your vids have to be the most tightly edited in the entire quad space. Unbelievable. You must be professionally in the video production market. Not to mention all the technical details you always provide. I don't watch enough... I need to remedy that.
Thank you very much Nick, coming from you means a lot! :) Funnily enough, the channel was an excuse for me to learn how to use Adobe Premiere. I am still learning and experimenting!
i have the 65s and half way through a flight it does the flip of death. i have reflashed the firmware . but is so annoying. anyone have suggestions. i am tipping PID is the solution but i am nor sure
I have a Beta75s brushed and a UR65 brushless. I prefer the UR65 as I can do light acro. With the 75s, I can race nicely, but it will never properly recover from a dive or if I turn full speed, it will suffer from significant propwash. Lastly the UR65 is more smooth, that is I have a better control of the throttle over the entire range. I tried playing with the PIDs to correct that on the brushed but... did not make it. The UR65 has also half the flight time. All in all: brushless is more fun despite the too short flight time.
Wow more trust in a brushed 🤯🤯 i can,t believe it!! Im going to see the video again.... I had always thought that my brushless 65 uariv 1s pushed more than my brushed homemade whoops from 8 months ago ... it is also true that I have not tried a top brushed engine nowadays. Thanks for the video, great job man
You're welcome :) Keep in mind that part of the thrust "advantage" of the brushed version is negated by the extra weight, which it has to accelerate and move around. In reality the difference is less noticeable and after flying both back-to-back, I am starting to favor the brushless version a bit.
Looking forward to adding more BNF micros to these comparisons :D Beta65X has been a blast - 75X is a whole different category though, much larger motors.
I am planning for Beta65 Pro 1s with 260mAh lipo, when flying indoor, gently, how much flight time I can expect? I do have option of Beta75 Pro 1s with 550mah for same price, which one is better? Can these whoops be upgraded when betaflight have new versions available?
Depending on how you fly, you should be able to roam around for ~3 minutes. I don't know what I would choose between the two. The Beta65 will be lighter, which means it reduces your chances of getting damaged in crashes. What about the Beta65 and Beta75 Pro 2 versions, which run both 1S and 2S? They cost a little bit more but you can start flying on 2S whenever you feel like it.
@@muteFPV I do have 2s micro already AUW 105gm. I am looking for a realy light brushless whoop to fly indoor using FPV. I am very new to FPV. So looking for something light and that can survive small crashes.
They change their hardware once in a while so I would trust their website info. For example they now use different props than the ones that shipped with my Pro 1S (they now have the same props they use in the 65X as far as I know) and I think the motors are also a bit different? Not sure
@@muteFPV Was just gonna mention that because I was hoping to see performance of BetaFPV's 0603 19000KV brushless on 65mm. (Same specs as Snapper6 which has HappyModel motors and crazybee FC.) Also: I have better range with RX antenna upright-ish inside those BetaFPV canopies versus taped to a duct. (Haven't tried this FC myself though.) And nice work all around BTW.
@QC thank you! I will add data from the new motors in the comparisons if I get my hands on them. I am not flying far away with these micros so I don't encounter range issues, do you mount it next to the camera?
@@muteFPV If I was Beta FPV I'd send you those motors pronto - your thrust comparisons are clear as day. Keep it up! [ Yeah I just let the antenna wire take the tallest swoop over the cam/vtx that it can, canopy holds it in place w/o adhesive & even hard hits don't move it. Works better for me anyway. ]
Hey mate! Does the Tiny Hawk run on 2S? I want to try the Mobula7 too, after all the positive feedback I have seen. I flew the Beta65X (2S) the same day as the 1S Betas and I have to say, it is night and day difference! Immense fun BUT extra weight = more damages. Already broke the canopy in multiple spots and tore one of the side screws off.
@@muteFPV No 2S Tiny Hawk yet but I think I heard a reviewer speak of one in the pipeline. Hmmm yeah, the weight/damage pay-off coud be a problem, the URUAV65 seems to be made of rubber, only broken one strut in a LOT of smashes.
I personally like Gaoneng (GNB), they are very reliable, consistent and perform well. But it also depends which brands you can find more easily. Shipping LiPos is not easy nor cheap depending on the quantity and location of you / the vendor.
Everything breaks sooner or later :P I am not 100% convinced yet that brushless is more cost effective than buying and maintaining a brushed setup. A motor swap is fast to do and brushed parts are usually cheaper.
I haven't flown it much on 1S but I did not have any issues. Are you batteries in good condition? Do you have a bigger one with PH2.0 connector, just for testing? If the battery is fully charged but the voltage shows very low on the OSD, you can adjust the voltage scale in Betaflight.
@@muteFPV I got an 8 pack of the betafpv 300s so I'll have to try a few of the others. I heard they aren't the best (after I bought them), but they actually flew pretty well on 2s without much sag. What was odd is that when trying 1s the osd first loads up and shows the full cell voltage, then drops after a few seconds. Multimeter confirms full voltage after also. Maybe flashing a previous version will help. Seems like something software related.
@@muteFPV that was going to be my next step. I reflashed the firmware and set it up from scratch then it worked perfect. As for the OSD voltage the first time it was displaying avg cell voltage. Switching it to main battery voltage displayed it properly. I guess average cell voltage doesn't work nicely on 1s. Not sure why it wouldn't arm before but all seems to be working. Thanks for the replys and all the great videos!!
as i was the 100th person to like and share your video do i get a free 65 pro? :) great video straight to the point not too much politics!
I will do a giveaway again sometime soon, stick around for that :P
Thank you very much!

Does it always drop at the same motor side? For example always front right? Do you see anything strange (or a warning) in the DVR footage?

Thank you for the input!
Do you have a 65mm brushed to directly compare to the UR65?
I am leaning towards brushless too, but slightly.
I unfortunately don’t. I however just found a 65s for sale at 50 Eur... I should maybe go for it in the name of the scientific approach? :)))
Hehehehe, if you are looking for excuses, as a fellow scientist I would say YES, definitely :P :P :P
Great comparison, dude! And awesome new intro! 😃
About brushed vs brushless... I personally like both! 😊
Thank you mate :D
i couldn't be happier with my new happymodel mobula7! do you plan on getting one as well?
Most probably yes, Beta65X will follow shortly too
This is probably the best tiny whoop review on youtube. Excellent job.
Thank you very much :) Take a look at my more recent ones, I have improved a lot ;)

Hard to compete with the new Tinyhawk for 1S whoops!!
Looking forward to adding them in my comparisons asap ;)
whats the tvl on the camera
After my video was published they shipped it with 600TVL cameras

Definitely go for the Beta65 Pro 1S then, it was very nice
muteFPV does the Z02 vtx comes with beta65 pro 1s has adjustable power levels? Beta fpv website says, it cannot be adjusted.

What about flying time?
It always depends on how you fly. If it helps, I am running Throttle% timer on my Taranis and at about 1:30 the 260mAh lands at ~3.8V resting voltage.
Nice comparison but we have to consider, that the pro only has a 16000 kv motor... maybe 17500kv motor would give more thrust
Maybe, but this is how it was sold :) I just noticed on their website that now they send them with 19000KV motors!

Great video! I like 1s for indoor whoop. Keeps a light and safe feeling... Like a toy
Thank you! :D
Top new intro man, I think I'm done with brushed after getting a URUAV65. Top banana, although I want a Mobula to be fair, and a 2S Tiny Hawk...

Just got the mob7 yesterday..and the hype is real, its the most locked in lil thang:)
@mook frame has been perfectly fine on the beta65x by the way, the canopy is much more fragile
@huckaberry niiiiice, can't wait to try it out!
nice👍
:D
nice share
Thank you!
Nice video!!!just a question can I use more powerful battery?
Thank you! Yes of course, most whoop batteries (stick shaped) will fit. The lighter it is, the better, so don't go for a lot more mAh
@@muteFPV mmm ok ok sure…but which one do you suggest?

@@muteFPV yes sure!!!thank you very very much…but the question is how many mah can I use? On beta 65s?
I usually fly with 250mAh, max 300mAh. For powerful whoops you can use the awesome 333mAh TinyWhoop packs for example.
What is the cheapest pair of goggles for this drone?
Probably one of the cheap headbox goggles from Banggood, or an OTG receiver for your mobile phone.
Like to see a comparison of the brushed S to the S lite
I will not be getting my hands on the lite anytime soon but it should perform the same on the thrust stand, since it has same motors as the 65S
Brushless. Brushed motors tend to break sooner.

Very nice review and comparison

Have you or anyone else had luck flying the 65 pro 2 on 1s? Mine starts up then the voltage drops to ~2.5 V in the OSD and I'm unable to arm.
I haven't flown it much on 1S but I did not have any issues.
