do the maths. Bitcoin (17.3m coins @ $150bn market cap), XRP (43.2bn coins @ $12.1bn cap) when xrp is in shorter supply ~ 2023 and if it can bring its market cap inline with bitcoin, then there's huge potential there. Its current price has nothing to do with its future potential price. it's artificially low due to the market being flooded with an additional 1bn coins per month. this will stop in 4-5 years.

The banks want little to no volatility, meaning a stable price, and XRP holders want the price to go up (hence, volatility), the two groups are diametrically opposed to each other. Understand that Bitcoin is valuable because people are buying it and HODLing, decreasing supply = increasing value. Hodling for 4 seconds means XRP will only be retaining that value for those 4 seconds. That’s a tiny amount of value to retain even if millions flow through XRP every day.

Let me lay down some knowledge on ya. Volume does eventually increase price. Yes its true it only requires 4s to transfer. Say you were to transfer 1million dollars in xrp. That would take about 3.33million xrp tokens at 30 cents value. The entire remittance market daily volume, if you look it up, is close to a trillion dollars. If you were to make all that payment through the xrp token. A 30 cent token is not gonna cut it. There simply won't be enough token. But a 20 dollar xrp could do it with 50 billion xrp tokens. The higher the value of the xrp token the less tokens you need for that same cross border remittance. And this is assuming there is 55billion token liquid. That is simply not true. There are hodlers, lost tokens, token locked in wallets deposits. So the actual circulating token are far less than that. If you take that into consideration the value of the token has to be much higher to support that kind of liquidity. Just my 2 cents. Cheers. Not a bot.
I think you're misconstruing where value is derived from in the XRP ledger. XRP is like HTML for cross border payments. The more people who use it, the higher the demand is for the asset, therefore the price goes up. The utility exists for customers and for XRP holders alike. What it needs is mass adoption, which evidence like Moneygram's latest earnings call may prompt.
