Before We Start To Polish The Old 1880s Australian Cedar Trunk We Need To Align And Repair The Hinges So The Chest Lid Closes Properly.

A nice constructive approach to bringing this old girl back.Good to see that you don't go in for over restoration.I have one just like this waiting for some TLC.I'm always amazed at the size & span of the boards used in these chests- no joining of boards was ever done & the trees themselves must have been immense.

Red Cedar Trees have been recorded with a girth of over 3 meters with Heights over 60 meters towering above the forest canopy. It would have been amazing to see these trees in real life. thx for watching
