In the description I linked the website I used and you can view a parts diagram, I also have the part numbers in the description of the things you need. It's been awhile since I fixed that part on that bike I honestly don't remember much
I got it mate, thanks. Sorry never seen that.. did that work? I have a a couple drops oil coming through.. not to much. Most probably the seals are starting to go. Thanks
Nunca mexida, com a linda idade de 20 anos e mais de 80000km também começou a pingar no mesmo local , está a chegar a mudança de óleo, acho que mudarei todos os vedantes referentes a essa bomba.
Very similar problem on the z1000rx and Concours quite well known... useful to know it's a similar fault (the water/oil pump parts areca tad different but exactly the same idea.
I'm not sure what exact seal you're talking about? If it's the smaller black hockey puck looking one I believe the side with the grove goes In first but I'm not 100% sure. I watched the video back and that's what I'm thinking
How many miles on that bike, that mechanical seal must have a milage lifespan being that it lasted 20 years.
16k when it started leaking
Whats the 3 seals mate have you got the names? Ive ordered the set
But only comes with 2 seals

The seal on the Concours works itself out if it's seat. A little red loc-tite onnthe outer area of the new seal and it locks it in place.
I forgot that rubber seal that goes in the oil pump housing, I thought it was forthe seal that goes on the end of the transmission...doh!
which way does the oil seal go in?

@@mayson2 8.20 shows you tapping the oil seal in. I have a versys 1000, your water pump looks identical do remember which way was facing up?
@Navillus2273 I believe the solid side was up and the side with the grove down
@mayson2 have you had any issues with installing it the other way?
@Navillus2273 I never had any issues with it afterwards
