It’s hard to compare these two when using clips of Mariah at different ages since her voice shines more in different areas depending on the age. I wish it was a same age battle. Mariah was a stronger all around vocalist at Faouzia’s age,but it becomes more difficult to compare when it’s more fair. If we mix and match eras then Mariah has eras where she’d take the lows mids and highs but at different ages. Also I hate the use of non live clips in this from both sides 😭 plus awful choices for Mariah in the lows
A lot of Mariah’s performances on here were dubbed and the G#5 was lipped, so it’s not a good vocal battle considering that some of Faouzia’s clips were also studio recordings. Those low notes especially were horrible clip choices for Mariah.
These clips for both are a choice 😭 If were putting them against each other in their primes, Mariah, if we're using clips of Mariah at 48, Faouzia, no shade, but the execution of this was a choice
