- Nag try ako ng 3 potting medium sa mga succulents (Haworthia), heto ang mga resulta.
Note: I kept saying potting mix, pero correction, Akadama and Aquasoil are technically not "mix" since pure sila. My bad.

Thats a great experiment👍. I only have common haworthias but I always got them on clearance thats why they are mostly have dried roots, stressed and dehydrated. And I only use regular potting soil with some sand on it and keep it moist. So far they all root and grow in no time🤗. So I think moisture helps a lot in rooting haworthias🤔. Another 👍 video🥰
Noice, It was very helpful. There are people who recommend aquatic soil, so I was experimenting with rosemary, and I think similar results will come out. 😂

Don't mind the bashers sir, the data and observations speak for themselves, and as with anything scientific alam naman dapat natin may mga differences and deviations in results, especially in a non-lab, minimally controlled experiment.

Thanks po Sir Andrew, may ugat na mga hawos ko na matagal naging dormant, after seeing your video, nilipat ko sila sa masitera premium cns mix (yan lang kasi available ko sa soil mix) and watered them after 3 days... after a week may ugat na agad sila... super happy ako haha

Also another method:
May Elongated succulent ako na 2 years ng nasakin and Mother plant ko na sa mga 20+ na mga Seedlings, and feeling for super healthy niya the fact na kinut or propagate(Trunk+Root at yung leaves+trunks),at pinunla ko lang sa lupa at Accidentaly na nadiligan ni mama the same day na yun is the next 4-5 is lumabas na agad yung ugat from the leaves+trunks niya and may mga nabubuong mga sprouts ulit sa trunks+roots na succulent is naamaze ako kahit diniligan ni mama ko is nabuhay padin. Inconclusion, as long as Super healthy yung succulent by not focusing too much on it for even weeks, pero every dilig mo is Healthy like may konting fertilizer or succulent food every dilig is efficient yung process.

May factor yung watering sched bro. Naka twice a week ako sa akadama and aqua soil. Maganda yung sand for once a week kasi matagal ang water retention. Base on exp na rin.

That’s a good experiment , i don’t check the roots of my haworthias ( i only have a few) except when i’m repotting them. For the most part when i buy it I transfer them put it them in cactus and succulents soil that’s it. Now maybe i should check them too, 😁thanks.
If they're thriving, maybe no need. Iba kasi climate diyan sa California :)
@@andrewbrizuela Maybe, but during summer the climate in the Phil. is almost i should say the same , but hotter here although not humid. And soil maybe that I used because it’s pre mixed it says cactus and succulent, you could add pumise only if you want too. For the most part i don’t add. 😂 i fertilize them with cactus and succulent fertilizer.

Sinubukan ko yung sand soil mix 2 weeks ago and the result is promising kasi nagroot pati sa malapit sa rosette-like(mid part) ng truncata lime green ko😂

Aquasoil po ba ay same lang sa GVS? Kasi sa start ng video you mentioned po na GVS ang gamit nyo pero sa later parts ng video you referred to it as aquasoil na. Planning to buy po kasi kaya I'm asking kung alin talaga sya 😅

@@andrewbrizuela hi sir, nakabili ako ng GVS few weeks ago and just this week nakabili rin ako ng aquasoil (terra activa brand) and physically mukhang magkaiba sila (not sure if namali lang ako ng bili ng aquasoil or what 😅) pero si aquasoil very dark and shiny sya, at first akala ko pebbles sya eh dahil makintab at mukhang bato talaga. Si gvs medyo may same properties kay akadama in terms na para syang lupa lang talaga na nagclump, and one advantage ni gvs ay yung nag-iiba sya ng kulay pag basa vs kapag tuyo, which I think is not the case for aquasoil. Though I don't know kung alin ang better pagdating sa pagpapaugat ng haworthias. Another thing is si gvs parang mas nag-aabsorb sya ng water kapag nadiligan kumpara kay aquasoil, natry ko kasi sila basain/diligan pareho and si gvs talagang mukhang mas porous and less compressed compared kay aquasoil na mukhang sobrang compressed, pero si aquasoil ay may enough water retention din naman. Madidinig mo rin kasi yung sound na parang may "fizz" (yung parang fizz sa softdrinks) kapag binasa mo yung tuyong gvs and aquasoil. GVS is like "homemade" na aquasoil 😅
Just sharing my experience, hehe. Now I don't know kung dapat ko nalang ba gamitin itong nabili kong aquasoil or bumili ulit ng gvs. Pero my guess is okay rin si aquasoil talaga for haworthias kasi mukhang mas full of nutrients sya compared kay gvs, which is yun yata ang reason kung bakit mabilis mag-ugat sa aquasoil 😅
