Yaaaaas! It's always a good day when there's a new video from Joe! Time to drop what I'm doing and get lost in the Canadian wilderness again. Thank you for your work, Joe! :D
This man changed the name of the game when he started splitting that wood at the 30:00 mark. I’ve done some sketchy stuff to split logs that small, and never ONCE thought of that neat trick. Learn something new everyday!
Greeting from flat, flat Netherlands. I definitely agree that is a mountain (12:36). Thank you for showing us the beauty that is the wild out doors. I Love your videos. Have fun!!!
I learned a little trick about avoiding smoke in your tent when you first light a fire by preheating the flue before you start adding any fuel. By concentrate your initial flame right under the chimney pipe, you heat that air first and it quickly creates a draft sending that warm air right up the pipe, leaving you with a smoke free tent and a quicker cleaner burning fire.
Used to do something similar for my parents 1930s fireplace. Was a small coal one, so used to light a lil fire on the chimney shelf to warm the flue and start it drawing. If we ever neglected to do it we’d soon have a living room full of smoke.
Im 62 yts old, I realy enjoy wachting your videos, I was also very active during my younger days, unfortunately I have artheitis, God bless and more power to your show
🏔🏕You and Mike make a good team y’all understand the delegated duties, California has snowy mountains but Canada beats us out with snow covered passes & giant lakes.🇺🇸☝️😎🇨🇦💨
These are the ones I really like. Living in England the temperatures extremely rarely get down to those levels and never where I live. Had to hold off getting a stove tent because of Covid and not wanting it sat around for a year taking up space. Cannot wait until, hopefully, later in the year when I can drive 200 miles set up and chill out for a few days. Thanks for the vid.
Yes! New Joe content and a longer trip with a buddy to boot. Great video! It's warm here almost 75 in Virginia and i'm busting out the canoe tomorrow already for an overnight camp tomorrow. Thanks for all you do, Joe and for inspiring me and all of us to get out there and enjoy the outdoors.
Enjoyed that very much , I just felt the smell from those spruce boughs. That looked way more comfortable then my last trip with my tiny wood stove lol Always nice to see Mike in your vids. Look forward to next part Cheers Nick
Nice job with the intro, you weren't wrong about being stoaked for the video! Great to see you and Mike out for an adventure. Thanks for sharing, take care and be well Joe.
You are my biggest inspiration to get out and enjoy nature! I've always been fond of nature but I move to the city and got stuck in the city way of things! Thank you so much for all the effort and love you put into your videos. I would love a whole video on bushcraft spain gear! Looking forward to the next one!
I really wish you and Matthew Posa would do a trip together. I have seen requests on both of your channels. You and he are the kings of these videos! My absolute favorites!!! 💕👍🏼🐕
Hey guys I think you probably already know this, but you can get a rectangle piece of nylon fabric that are made for those chairs and you put them on the bottom of the legs so they don't sink into sand or snow. If you watch Matthew posa you'll know what I'm talking about and the link for all his gear is always in his descriptions. Just thought I would mention it. I am 26 minutes into the video and it looks so so fun. I got to say I am excited for the canoe trip videos and to see Tripper come along with you, nice work on the video Joe!
Awesome video! You signed off and I was expecting to see you wake up, but it faded to black and I realized 45 minutes went by when I thought it was 5! Good to see you again Joe, I hope all is good with the family. Shared!🏕🏔
Thanks for another great video Joe. Good to see buddy Mike after all this time. Those steaks looked so good I could taste it. With your bellys full i bet you slept well that night. Can't wait for the next instalment
A great first installment to this epic trip Joe. It’s great to see your pal Mike again. I would still like to see a replay of the classic “wine time.” 👍
Hey Joe.......That's a great Idea.....you have to stomp down the snow anyway......Add a " quick shot" of some Music in the background......Oh Yeah give it a try...... : ) Comfy, yes.. That's Good Livin' .......I enjoyed it along with you guys......
Love that you guys haul cast iron into the backcountry. So much hype around Ultralight, but you guys show that easier isnt always "worth it." Those steaks look amazing.
late for the viewing party but I'm now obsessed with mikes cotton duck fur hooded shell. i need that in my life! where can one find such a thing of beauty??? as always, thanks for saving me from covid insanity. videos are always therapeutic.
35:41 Surprized you have the handle turned in to get the maximum possible heat on it, rather than turned out to the cool tropical breezes! So cool where you have it you could even get burned by the frying pan as you're getting fried by the hot draft adjustment handle! ... Skilled execution!
