Der Bahnhof Luzern ist der Hauptbahnhof der Stadt Luzern. Der 1859 eröffnete Bahnhof ist mit rund 167'000 Fahrgästen pro Tag der viertmeist frequentierte Bahnhof der Schweiz. Als bedeutender Verkehrsknoten in der Zentralschweiz verbindet er das Normalspurnetz der Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen mit den meterspurigen Strecken der Zentralbahn sowie den Kursschiffen der Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees. Neben nationalem Fernverkehr und internationalen Verbindungen nach Mailand ist der Bahnhof Knotenpunkt der S-Bahn Luzern sowie des städtischen und regionalen Busverkehrs.

Lucerne train station is the main train station of the city of Lucerne. The station, opened in 1859, is the fourth most frequented station in Switzerland with around 167,000 passengers per day. As an important transport hub in Central Switzerland, it connects the standard gauge network of the Swiss Federal Railways with the meter-gauge routes of the Central Railway as well as the course ships of the shipping company of Lake Lucerne. In addition to national long-distance transport and international connections to Milan, the station is the hub of the S-Bahn Lucerne as well as urban and regional bus transport.

Hallo, ein schönes Video von einem geschäftigen Bahnhof.👍 Danke. Es sollen zwei unterirdische Durchgangsbahnsteige gebaut werden. Sind das nur Planungen oder wird schon gebaut? Gruß Willie.

Die Durchgangsgleise sind noch in Planung. 2026 soll ein konkreter Plan über den Bahnhof, Bahbsteige und beide Zuläufe dem Parlament vorgelegt werden. Bis 2040 soll dann alles fertig gebaut und eröffnet werden.

We've been through that station a few times when we visited Switzerland. We were staying in Hergiswil at a hotel that overlooks lake Lucerne. Would recommend a visit to the transport museum, this it was a 30-40 min walk from the station, depending on how fast you walk.
