On our way to the North Shore, we stopped by the best bakery place in Oahu Hawaii -- Liliha Bakery! Highly recommend the Lilikoi Malasada, Poi Mochi Donut, Green Tea Puff (the Coco puff is also very popular there)!

If you want to chill beach experience at the northshore in Oahu, Hawaii, stop by the turtle bay! There is no longer turtles in Turtle Bay, but definitely you get a peaceful and nice experience here!

It is a nice hike Easy at the Waimea Valley with lots of parking space. One of the best family friendly hiking experience in Oahu hawaii!

It is the best of the bunch of shrimp trucks, on Oahu's north shore.
It was so so so great!!!! The line was super long but it was worth the wait! Definitely one of the best shrimps I’ve ever had!
Personally/IMO....Prefer Big Wave Shrimp right down the road....No line w/parking, dining area & did I mention...No Lines?!-lol

Giovanni's being the original shrimp truck on the island became so profitable since they've been in operation since the late 90s that they bought the land where they are located and invited all the other trucks/vendors onto the property in exchange for paying rent to them.

Punaluu Bakery --- the southern most bakery in all of the USA... Their sweet breads are sold at all Costco Hawaii locations... Yeah, can't believe you didn't get Liliha's famous cocoa puffs --- da bomb as it has chantilly on the top side of the puff !
We actually drove by punaluu bakery on the big island but it was closed by the time we got there!! Man I need to go back to get that Cocoa Puffs!!!!!!!

Yess!!!! It’s like a shopping market type of thing. The coffee shop also opened in the afternoon where I got a ice latte~ lots of vendors here!

It was at the end of July. We brought bug repellent with us. There are more mosquitoes in the wooded area~

WHY do people balk/gag at the thought of poi?! Poi is mashed up taro root, same as mashed potatoes are mashed potato root! BOTH are from the same tuber family, as are sweet potatoes & yams. ALL are made edible by either boiling or steaming....
Cuz I tried the poi at luau and it didn’t taste the way I thought it would taste… it was more sour than I thought. I’m from Asia so I used to eat a lot of taro stuff. But poi is a one of a kind flavor for taro…
