The old episodes that do not need to be updated, story or content wise, will be added there as well. - Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project - As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then-it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!) Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project-this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. Hey! I just want to reiterate something another person commented on, which is that a couple of the reports around the 20 minute mark have typos in them. This is still an outstanding upgrade, though; I absolutely loved watching this updated video with all of the new content in it. Also... I'm not sure if you remember me, but there was a time in the past where I was immature and rude to you after a situation with a streamer who was trying to react to your series. I'm not asking for you to forgive me for it or anything like that, but I *am* sorry for the way I behaved, and I want you to know that your continuous work and dedication to this series is seriously appreciated. Your work means so much to so many people. Thank you for not giving up on it. Even when it takes a lot out of you, even when the timing isn't right, and even when ungrateful shits like me get upset over situations they don't fully understand. Thank you for preserving. The progression of the reports, the different writers offering different perspectives, even the inclusion of the melody of memory scenes. I loved the way you framed this episode. Seeing it all back to back is such a chilling feeling
After KH3, this was perhaps the updated video I’ve been looking forward to most since we have all the new lore surrounding Xehanort’s time as Ansem’s apprentice and Subject X
rereading these reports in order are so fascinating. It really shows that Nomura took what he wrote for these reports way back in 2002 and applied them to the lore even today. It's so cool to see how much love he had for this franchise. I love the new graphics you made for the reports too! And incorporating the KH3 music in there as well was a nice touch. Glad you're doing well Everglow! We've missed you!
I still love this episode's title ever since the original one back in 2018, "The Source of All Heartless", a phrase used by Xemnas in KH2 became a fitting episode title. My other favorite one is "Keeper of the Castle". These titles were also what made me start naming my episodes in my own series, originally they were unnamed.
Did you know that "the source of all heartless" is one of the sentences in one of the kh1 secret cutscenes, a lot of those sentences were inserted in the kh2 story for foreshadowing
Love the graphics for the report segments, really really good! I did just notice though that there were some minor spelling errors in Isa’s reports? 21:28 “thought” instead of “though” 23:39 “make our her features” instead of “make out her features”
I hope Everglow sees this comment. This new version of the episode is great, but It'd be a shame if there wound up being even more tiny errors in these updated episodes intended to resolve the Timeline's few issues.

Following Aqua’s battle with Xehanort possessing her friend Terra, she is now trapped in the Realm of Darkness and Xehanort has been taken in as an apprentice of Ansem the Wise. At the same time, Sora has allowed Ventus’s heart to join with his own. Xehanort continues to study under Ansem and has brought in the Heartless and even puts Kairi in a pod for an experiment.
After this episode, Ansem went to the past to help his younger self to get stronger until he is ready to help him traverse into the future. This is Plan C: The Real Organization XIII. While others, A had failed, and then B later. A was Ventus and Vanitus, and B is the princesses of hearts and the original Organization XIII. Xehanort’s goal is to forge the x-blade since his first attempt was a failure.

I was confused about the fact you didn't continue the re-edit after Episode 25, so I've read the comments here and I understand the situation. Guess the only thing you had to change was just the initial part of them, with the new map and the intro music XD Still, I noticed that the reports written by Subject X are not in this episode. Curious...
He's only uploading vlepisodesnthat had missing cutscene or report if an episode is fine as is he won't respond it just cause. Episode 26-31 is still there in the play list available to watch. It just didn't need a reupload/edit etc... so like I said there was no reason to respond them. He did put that info in the description but yeah.

It's a shame that Nomura gave into fan pressure and made the final villain be the old Master Xehanort again. I would have love to see the scholar Xehanort from KH2 again, memories restored and keyblade in hand, as the main villain. He was completely unhinged, just look at the reports. It would have also been such a perfect conclusion to the series, considering this version of Terranort was the "true form" of the very first big bad in the series. Shame the most we got in KH3 was the same Terranort fight from BBS so fans could be serviced

Also, I don't think that would be a perfect conclusion and would instead kind of be a letdown given the secret ending of KH2 and the Lingering Will boss fight: Your complaint about fanservice is also kind of ironic given this comment is pure fanfiction in of itself so you're really providing your OWN fanservice.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 BBS only exists because MX wanted a young body because his was weak, which is confirmed when a darkness possessed Terra rocks his shit and proves to be the perfect vessel. It's not fanfiction, the scholar Xehanort was the one who became Ansem and Xemnas, there's a whole scene in KH2 of Sora just pointing that out to Mickey. Terranort from BBS existing in the world of KH3 without time travel makes no sense, it's just fanservice. Like, who even is the Xehanort possessing his heart by that point if that's the same body that was used by Xemnas and MX is back? Nothing wrong with fanservice on it's own but it did negatively impact the story
@@odd-eyes6363 Terra's body came back. But his Heart was still trapped in "Come, Guardian!" . Therefore, he was like Kairi or Ventus, empty. Master Xehanort simply did to the empty Terra what he tried to do to Sora. Which is why KH3 Terranort doesn't know what the Lingering Will is until it starts "speaking".
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 Thing is, Terra's body was Xehanort's body at that point in time, that's who became the fake Ansem. MX's body died at BBS, from the Final Episode onwards he was directly possessing Terra's body by overwriting Terra's very heart with his own. That's why converting Terra to the dark was so important, it was the means in which he could take over Terra's heart once the possession began. Terra became the guardian because he's literally imprisoned inside his own heart. By the logic of events, just like how Ventus never left Sora's heart even after it left the body, neither should have Xehanort's. The body that should have been brought back was supposed to be the one who became the Seeker of Darkness. The Ultimania does provides a very flimsy explanation on how Terranort and MX coexist during KH3, but not only does it not make sense considering previous lore and events, but Terra's body should still have been aged up to the one who became Xemnas. Secret Episode Terranort shouldn't exist simply due to the fact that ten years have passed since he came into being and his heart left the body.
@@odd-eyes6363 The thing is, Master Xehanort possessed people to stop the aging of the two people in the Process. Only the fused form ages. A similar process happens with Luxu and Brain. It is "part of the contract". It is why technically you can live forever this way.

I always figured the Heartless were created from the lost hearts of the Keyblade War. Huh.
Heartless are the Physical Forms of the Expanded Ancient Darkness. But Apprentice Xehanort created the Emblem Heartless using the MCP.

@@dragonbornexpress5650 BBS only exists because MX wanted a young body because his was weak, which is confirmed when a darkness possessed Terra rocks his shit and proves to be the perfect vessel. It's not fanfiction, the scholar Xehanort was the one who became Ansem and Xemnas, there's a whole scene in KH2 of Sora just pointing that out to Mickey. Terranort from BBS existing in the world of KH3 without time travel makes no sense, it's just fanservice. Like, who even is the Xehanort possessing his heart by that point if that's the same body that was used by Xemnas and MX is back?

@@odd-eyes6363 Terra's body came back. But his Heart was still trapped in "Come, Guardian!" . Therefore, he was like Kairi or Ventus, empty. Master Xehanort simply did to the empty Terra what he tried to do to Sora.
Which is why KH3 Terranort doesn't know what the Lingering Will is until it starts "speaking".
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 Thing is, Terra's body was Xehanort's body at that point in time, that's who became the fake Ansem. MX's body died at BBS, from the Final Episode onwards he was directly possessing Terra's body by overwriting Terra's very heart with his own. That's why converting Terra to the dark was so important, it was the means in which he could take over Terra's heart once the possession began. Terra became the guardian because he's literally imprisoned inside his own heart.
By the logic of events, just like how Ventus never left Sora's heart even after it left the body, neither should have Xehanort's. The body that should have been brought back was supposed to be the one who became the Seeker of Darkness. The Ultimania does provides a very flimsy explanation on how Terranort and MX coexist during KH3, but not only does it not make sense considering previous lore and events, but Terra's body should still have been aged up to the one who became Xemnas. Secret Episode Terranort shouldn't exist simply due to the fact that ten years have passed since he came into being and his heart left the body.
@@odd-eyes6363 The thing is, Master Xehanort possessed people to stop the aging of the two people in the Process. Only the fused form ages.
A similar process happens with Luxu and Brain.
