This clip singing All of Me is my favorite Bobby Rydell song, wish he had recorded it on an album. Hard to believe one person had so much talent, he could do it all. No one else comes close.

So much talent in this one show. Starting with the little ones to that great ending by Bobby. I was young back then and don't remember a lot from The Danny Thomas Show, but sure am glad I found this channel.
My brother passed away recently and I remember him singing "Oh Danny Boy" not too long ago, probably came on the radio station I listen to. He made the comment it was from The Danny Thomas Show. These simplest memories are special to me. I thank FilmRise Television to share them. ❤😅

They have very similar styles, mannerisms, rhythm and timing. Rydell always paid tribute to Darin.
Rydell, Darin and Hatfield….three phenomenal Bobbies.

I only got to know Bobby in later years when he was doing the forerunners of what are now the "Happy Together" shows. He was one of the sweetest guys you could ever know, and the portrayal of him here isn't very far removed from the real Bobby. Dick Clark had quite an eye for talent (and money-making opportunities!), and Bobby was his best find, in my opinion.

Bobby Rydell was not yet 18 as of this airing. Grease, the musical, had its high school named after him, "Rydell High". One of his 1960s hits, "Swinging School" inspired The Beatles to write an answering song called "she Loves You (Yeah Yeah Yeah)". Sadly, he passed away in April 5, 2022.
