thank you Scott as soon as anything new of yours pops up I watch it right away. You are one of my favorite youtubers. I just don't comment much. Thank you for all of your hard work!
Those of us know what happened. Vice President Johnson wanted the Presidency and there are books that point to LBJ as the person who put this tragedy in motion. Or so it is said by some & if you tie the strings together they end up with the assignation of President Kennedy. IJS.
I almost missed this . Thank you so much Scott for sharing this sad an horrific time for JFK ,he will never be forgotten,by many people that loved JKF .
This is the first time I've ever seen the house and the actual spot where Oswald photograph was taken. I always thought the house was gone because I've only seen the photograph. Wow! It would have been incredible if you were able to go inside. Thanks Scott, awesome video.
Another great adventure. Back in the early 80's, my boss at the time claimed he once interviewed Oswald for a job. He ran a print shop in the early 60's in Dallas. He claimed he didn't hire Oswald because he seemed kind of nervous and jittery and just didn't like him. My boss always wondered "What if......??
A Texan woman told me she had been in HS in the 50s where there was a Biology teacher named Mr Perkins who had in the corner of his classroom a walled-off cubicle where he prepared his specimens. He was cleaning up there at the end of Friday afternoon when someone suddenly shut the door on him and turned the key in the lock. Perkins shouted for help but no one came and as he was a bachelor, he was in there all weekend. On Monday they found him in a terrible state. Well, there was this kid in school who liked to pose as a rebel but no one liked him and he was a loner. The lady telling the story says she had noticed him hanging about in that part of the school on Friday at the end, so she asked him, ‘Lee, that thing with Mr Perkins - was that you?’ He just laughed and walked away. It was Lee Harvey Oswald!
I remember this like it was yesterday. I was in the 3rd grade. From the time that they sent us home early from school right thru the funeral, I was in front of the TV watching every minute of it. I remember very vividly when Jack Ruby shot Oswald because I'd never seen anything like that before in real life before. You did an excellent job as usual.
Same here. I was in school (2nd grade) when they announced his death over the intercom. I remember I was playing out in the front yard and my Mother called me in to watch the funeral procession. She said she wanted me to watch history being made.
I was in Mrs. Clark's 4th grade class and she went out in the hall talking to the principal and came back and told us. In a few minutes they sent us home. Me And my best friend dug a foxhole like they did on " Combat" in case Russia invaded.
I’ve always been fascinated by the Kennedy assassination, there is so much that we the people don’t know, thank you for this Scott and for all of your videos.
We know there’s never been any direct evidence of a conspiracy, and that Oswald was definitely involved in the murder, conspiracy or not.. We also know Oswald murdered a cop.. He owns it..
I’m really admire your thoroughness most people don’t know about that house But remember, Marina lived in Irving, Texas, and Oswald lived on N. Beckley St. Of course at the time of assassination.
Hollywood VS History. I totally get how the two would affect you in completely different ways. Hollywood is forever changing and resurrecting itself. Whereas, History gives us moments caught in time that will forever remain the same. Whichever direction you take us, thanks you Scott for sharing your experience with us!
I am the exact same way when it comes to celebrities and locations. I get way more excited and star struck with being at locations. To think I’m walking on the same ground, touching the same things as a celebrity or someone In history, makes be giddy. I love history and also ‘before and afterward’ of buildings and landmarks.
I always enjoy watching videos/short documentaries about JFK. so many unanswered questions but if look at the video of the assassination, there is more than one shooter. Thanks for the video, Scott. Great as always.
You do great Kennedy videos!! I have always been fascinated by him. I was 2 weeks shy of my third birthday when this happened. It's the oldest childhood memory I have. My granny was babysitting me, and I remember her crying and telling me the president was shot. I didn't really understand, but I knew it was bad enough to really upset granny. We have a chance that the files may finally be released to the public. Of course, all of the guilty are dead, but at least we may actually find out the truth.
I'm like you Scott, the easy access of simply being able to walk up with no problems at all, and basically stand right where Lee Harvey Oswald stood and had pictures taken, is just mind boggling. You just want to walk in there and look around and wonder what he was thinking in the short time he lived there about his plot to kill one of the greatest Presidents of modern time. You get drawn into it and you just want to know everything! I could look around that location all day and just brainstorm. Very interesting location and terrific job sharing it with us. 👍
I think presidents being assasinated is sad my mom told me how sad it was about JFK. Scott you have made me so happy everytime i watch you i smile. My mom always thought it was cute that i watch you i love you scott. great job❤
This place has such a strong vibe and really feels like a doorway into the past. You can kind of visualise Lee and Marina talking in there, while the radio plays in the background. Amazing!
My favorite thing about your videos is how approachable you seem and how its like exploring a place with a friend. Thank you for being you and keep up the great work!❤
Probably the best pop culture UA-camr that there is. Scott you make my day with these unbelievably well constructed and detailed videos. Keep up the good work my friend 😁
Another great video. It's so surreal watching it...I can't imagine what it's like to actually be there. Especially since it's pretty much frozen in time.
Thanks Scott for sharing it blows my mind that its just rotting away.. i went to Deely Plaza many years ago and that was amazing . I'm surprised that it's not preserved and or been torn down.
It's really not a important place other than the photos being taken there. At the time of the assassination Marina was at the Paine house and Oswald was renting a room in town.
Thank you for sharing this video, there’s certainly a lot of history involved with this video, much appreciated for everything you do, sending appreciation from Australia ❤❤❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hi Scott, I'm from UK, and I must say I'm addicted to watching your you tube channel, you are so inspiring of what you do, your a good man with good morals, you keep on inspiring us lot with great true stories I also love your celeb stories and visiting graves of celebs thankyou for all you do xx
Wow! Thats nuts! I’m a big JFK assassination buff, and I can’t believe that this house is abandoned, that so much still looks the same, and it’s so accessible!
You are truly a rockstar for capturing this! A few years ago I went to Dallas and went to the movie theater and walked from there to the boarding house Oswald was staying at. I tracked my time and filmed it (just cause I’m weird like that). I didn’t realize the location of the photo was this close by. You’re amazing for going back and filming. It looks like someone tore off one slab of the picket fence behind where Oswald stood. I hope they preserve this and if not, they should at least take the rest of that slanted picket fence to preserve history. You’re rad! ✌️ RIP JFK. I’ll be in Boston on the 22nd and I’ll leave a flag and flowers on his regular table at Old Oyster House Restaurant 🇺🇸
Love it Scott. I keep hearing about this guy but never seen a decent video about him on UA-cam until now, so you really have created history init self. I love how you got into detail about why people think that's a fake photo. I doubt any other vlogger will go into detail the way you did. Really found this interesting with amazing detail. Hope shady had a good birthday by the way
Thanks Scott I been living like 30 minutes away from that location and never in my life thought about it something to look forward checking out before someone moves in 😅 thanks 👍🏽 man
Thank you Scott , for showing us Lee Harvey Oswald’s house in Dallas. It’s impressive it is left untouched. The backyard by the wooden fence was stunning , the same after 60 years.
Great video. It’s so strange that the only remaining fence in the entire yard is the one that was the background of that historic photo. Even as a kid when this happened, I always felt the photo was a fake.
Love this! Very disappointed in myself I chose not to go here in 2019 when I went to the Museum/shooting location. I'm going back in July and definitely doing it this time! ...that house is also a filming location for Stephens King series 11.22.63 ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SERIES if you haven't seen it!?
I’m the same way with you about getting excited about being around famous places or for me even meeting celebs. I’m not wanting to call him a celeb. He’s more infamous than famous but seeing that spot where that famous picture was taken is spine tingling and goosebumpy eerie especially being that it still stands and nothing is toren down. I get to live these moments via yours as well as other videos from UA-camrs. Like for me, the very first scene of the Walking Dead is Rick stopping at a gas station and running into that little girl walker girl. I’ve been there and seen that spot. It’s just cool to me.
Greetings Scott. Enjoy your channel very much. For the record, Lee and Marina occupied the top floor apartment at 214 Neely Street. As you enter the 214 residence, there are immediate stairs that take you to the upstairs unit where they lived for those 2 months. I have followed the JFK assassination conspiracy for more than 40 years and recall an early documentary that toured 214 Neely. Thanks for your video
Thank you Scott ....Very intresting !! A museum would be intresting, this particular topic is so important thar everything related to the assassination of JFK should be precerved for posterity !! I`m from Sweden but I hope you can understand my bad english !! I love your channel ....
I spent over half my career at the station a few blocks down Beckley from there. Any time we got an intern or a new crew member we "rode district" so we could show them all of the historical points in the Oak Cliff side of the assassination. We were also there when Oliver Stone came through and restored the facade on the Texas Theater, an old Mobil station that had become a locksmith was fixed up to look like it did at the time. They painted Oswald's house too. It was fascinating. One of my partners was cast as an extra playing a background DPD officer. He interacted with Randy Quaid and saw Oliver Stone. We all went to watch the movie off shift and he points at the screen, "That's my shoe." 😂 The tragedy was he shaved one of the most epic mustaches to fit the 60's DPD appearance standards. I have to confess a little nostalgia for this one. Added in Edit: We had a long time retired, and somewhat legendary captain that would stop in for coffee and stories. This has sent shivers down my spine. There is much more to this than we'll ever know
Just imagine. We don’t even remember the name of the shooter several months ago at the PA Rally. The control of information is real.

I have been obsessed with Oswald for years, done a ton of research and still don't know all the answers!! Great video Scott!❤️

Standing in the footsteps of LHO's ghost! Doesn’t get more surreal than that!

So creepy to stand where he factually stood...this is one of your most iconic videos ever!
My grandparents house was right down the road on Patton St. So much history there within a few square miles. I’ve seen most of it

Fascinating
Fascinating visit to that site Scott! Its uncanny how it looks almost exactly the same after 60 years!?! Loved this great job!

It's more than a few blocks to the Texas Theater. It's 10 blocks South to tenth street (1026 N. Beckley) which is the North/South divide in Oak Cliff. The Texas Theater is on Jefferson St. which is 12 blocks South and about 3 blocks to the West.
Wow that’s awesome, great story Kyle! And it seemed pretty close to the theater but yes probably further than I thought
Excellent Video!!! A+
GREAT GREAT episode by the way! Always wanted to see it!
This is about 30 miles from me, and I have never visited that location. (Though the subject is intriguing).
Amazing vid as always Scott! Love from the UK! Piece of history right there.
Very Cool! Great job

I wasn't born when JFK was assassinated, I was born 2 months later
Almost missed seeing this upload. Thanks for sharing, interested in watching!!
