Moe Tucker paved the way, before she became a RupugliKKKan like Cherie. However, Sandy is the one who takes the R'NR drummer's torch, egnites it and is now who every other drummer after her is gaged against. RIP, Sandy. You most def tore the shit out of it.
Runaways did the song first. That being so any member of the band at the time could rightfully claim it as "their" song to an extent. So Joan Jett could certainly say it's her song but same goes for Sandy West (RIP) and Lita Ford, they could all say it's "theirs" given they're all on the original recording. To my knowledge they were the only three on the original however. Cherie Currie had left the Runaways by that point and there was no bass player, Lita Ford apparently played both lead guitar and bass on the studio recording (recorded separately then mixed obviously). That was in the dying days of the Runaways - the band broke up officially 7 months after it was recorded.
Sandy West Great drummer Yes so awesome talented. Great drummer 💯 Rock Queen ❤❤❤. RIP big star Sandy West
Cherie speaks the truth about Sandy West.
Sandy West was the best. RIP
That's back on Drums! What an amazing show, playing drums with my idol Sandy West since I was 9 yrs old. And Cherie Currie. So it was so surreal!
Sandy West was such a bad ass
Katt is so damn cute in this!
