How might someone go about getting a copy of your spreadsheet you use? I've been wanting to set my stuff up like this for a while. Your setup looks awesome. Great video look forward to the next one.
I've found shipping through Facebook marketplace great for shipping large items as it only prices based on weight, not size. So I could ship a 25-30 lb bumper for $40 rather than $200
Good idea on the window motors, I haven't researched that at all, so I'll have to take a look on how to get them out. I have had 1 instance of the metal scrapper taking less, but I just said that I'd go with a different company who gave me more.
@@silverfoxfinance Neither of the 2 companies I have dealt with required me to have the title in my name, they did take a picture of my ID, I'm guessing to make sure they are not liable if one of the vehicles were stolen (Obviously the ones I bring them aren't).
Thanks for the video man! I've got a Nissan Altima that I'm gonna try parting out and see how it goes. What methods do you use for estimating how much parts will be worth/which ones are worth selling? Also, do you sell the big parts locally (Doors, seats, etc)?
Originally I looked up every part I could think of on Ebay and it's listed/sold prices and put it on a list to get an idea of if parting the car out would be profitable. After doing my first car I got a much better idea of the realistic prices I can get for parts, and what parts would end up being dead inventory. I do sell the doors/seats locally, primarily because the weight. I have shipped multiple bumpers for relatively inexpensive.
I would typically make my money back within the first month, but some weeks I would get 20+ messages on parts and some I'd get like none, so it's hard to predict. However, I have yet to take a loss on a part out yet. Patience is really key in this as dealing with customers especially on Facebook Marketplace is tiresome with a lot of lowballers and time-wasters.
I would love to make more videos, but I am in college across the country right now. I intend to figure out a plan, but can't promise anything as of now.
Volvos are all parts cars..any part you install you need to take it to the dealership to get it married to your current car set up..volvos arent worth it to buy used compared to anything else out there (neither bmw or mercedez)
I originally was planning on accepting returns for the first 30 days, but decided it was too much to keep track of. I decided to just decide if I’d accept a return on a case by case basis. Only have had to deal with that a couple times

@Duneas Thanks man I appreciate that
Thanks a lot for the link. I have a toyota celica I'm parting out but I can really use this as a good guide.
Nice one mate, love it, look forward to seeing a follow up vid of the final outcome, or even an update on here
I appreciate the comment, going to give an update in my next video! Also will hopefully have a bit better production quality!
Please post more videos. I have been thinking about doing this and there are not many people on UA-cam who make videos doing this.
Thanks, I plan on it!
Love the video. Who do you use to ship the big items like hood and bumper? Shipping is so expensive.

@@TheBigShmeli thank you. I’ll look into it. Helped me out a lot.
You should take the window motors out. High use/ break part.
Does the junk yard or metal scrapper take less seeing it stripped

@@TheBigShmeli right on, keep grinding. They need a title in your name to scrap it right?

How do you ship this stuff, like boxes and how does that work cause I just started parting out a 97 OBS F250 I got
Great video man thanks. Had a question how did you handle the title of the car when it came time to scrap it? Or did you not need a title
Just gave it to the junkyard, no need to put it in my name or anything.
I like the spread sheet. Beats my spiral binder. What was your source for parts and value?
I mainly looked at the lowest Ebay price and also took off 20% for shipping+fees
Do you ship the bigger items like a door or just try to sell on Facebook?

this was a good vid, was there an update on the total profits made?
hi can you share your excel sheet?
Good video bro💪👍 how long did it take for you to make your money back on a car before profit??? I got 3 cars i want to sell on ebay.

yo what does the returns accepted column mean?

Wear are you selling this on
I sell on both Ebay and Facebook Marketplace
@@TheBigShmeli you list the same item on both?
@@spencershaw2407 Yes, once I sell it on one platform I immediately go and delete it from the other.
are you still parting out cars?
Where do you sell the parts
Facebook Marketplace and Ebay
