Schenk’s tone on that album is my absolute favourite rock tone of all time ❤ Also the Rock Bottom solo is an absolute masterclass on how to build tension and maintain interest over a one chord vamp.
Schenker was just something else back then. One of the most influential guitarists of the 70s, but gets very little acknowledgement. Absolute god of melodic guitar playing. And i love your playing based on his style!
Wore that album out back then.. Plus Judas Priest Unleashed in the East . What great memories. Nice to see it's still admired all these years later . I can still sing in my head all of the solo's . Schenker is still ripping it up !
I've been listening to this album since 1979 and I'm going to keep listening to it until my ears don't work anymore. Someday, I might be able to play as good as you do, Leon!
Mr. Micheal Schenker . . phenomenal album, Mike n' Uli roth were like the original shredders for sure.. like mid 60's for those guys, mike played in the scorps at like age 12
Still a fantastic album. Hearing it back when it was released was Mind-blowing. I'd only recently discovered UFO, with the Obsession album. And then this came out, wow. Had to wait another couple of years to see Schenker live with MSG, and close to twenty years to see the re-formed classic UFO lineup of Schenker, Mogg, Way, Raymond and Parker. Recently reformed an old band i was in during the mid 80's, and we're doing The SITN versions of Shoot Shoot and Rock Bottom. 😁

Nice playing, love that sound. This album and 'One Night at Budokan' still leave my jaw on the floor today, Schenker was in a league of his own.
So good hey!
You need a Flying V for the full Schenker experience 😅
Was here to comment this! 😅
Big-time Schenker fan definitely in my top five. It's possibly my favorite live album. Pat Travers Go For What You Know is right up there also.
That record is special to me because I attended the shows where it was recorded.

Awesome! You rock buddy! Love this album.
That will wake you up better than a caffeine jolt on a sleepy morning. A snarky bit of wah and a lot of attitude.

Love it when you play Schenker riffs!!!!
😊😊 Schenker was one of the best, and he still is!!!!
That’s awesome! Love UFO. What would you do if you’d just got Gretchen goes to Nebraska by Kings X? 🤘
👌
And, and I just spent yesterday going through my Schenker collection, Don't know why But I Love the McCauley Shenker Group era most!
yeah, nice tone. the delay and reverb are great too, it's sits in with the backing. listened to that album a ton growing up!
this cassette, my O'Hagan V, and my SS396 Chevelle. I wish I could go back to 1984.
Wore out the grooves on that one.
Whenever I hear Doctor Doctor from that live album, I get all giddy with excitement because it sounds like Maiden are about to hit the stage.😅
SITN is the best live album _ever!_
And easily the best live Marshall guitar tone recorded too. Simply epic album all around.
Iron Maiden got me into UFO! They play Doctor Doctor before -every- gig!

The impact of Van Halen 1, this, Blizzard of Ozz and then Rising Force in a 5 year span must have been mind altering!
@LeonTodd yep 😁
This was me!!! 🤣
I'm always telling younger guitarists to listen to Schenker. Their loss if they don't.
He's got it all
@@LeonTodd It's true. 🤘😁
Great lead, but, Doesn't have the SCHENKER Feel.
My Opinion of course
Leon is not Michael Schenker, so what did you expect. Stupid comment. 😎🎸🤘
@sickness170 Your opinion
My Opinion, It wasn't stupid, You are
And I EXPECT Michael Shenker Playing STYLE When Told 🖕
@@les-qy9lv grow up and get a life mate
Aaargggghh! Todd's damn good at this..but can't expect anyone to repaint the Mona Lisa...
