Well, one thing you said was wrong - you are most definitely a fashion expert!! You have the most impeccable taste in clothes and everything you wear is fantastic!! And it doesn't hurt one bit that you're simply stunning - with or without makeup. Don't apologize to anybody for who you are. Those that judge are usually not happy with themselves anyway.
Carole, you are such a sweetheart. :-) Thank you. I so appreciate you continuing to come back and support me. There are no words for the depth of my gratitude. Hugs ~ Janis
Every time I watch a video of yours when you talk about your inner thoughts, it's like we share a brain. I'm not even kidding! I find myself saying, "uh-huh...yep...exactly..." every time you share your feelings. I feel like I'm constantly having to invent ways to speak nicer of myself, to myself and it can be exhausting, but I make myself do it! And like you, most of the negative feelings I have about my appearance came from someone ELSE noticing them for me, and pointing them out. Even my bunions!! Lol! So sad how we hold onto the negative comments. For what it's worth, I think you are so GORGEOUS (even with no makeup), so CLASSY, and so RELATE-ABLE! I love your vlogs! 🤗💖
Jenifer, I know what you mean! I have a mean girl in my head that talks too much!! And it IS exhausting to constantly have to quiet her by talking OVER her, but you're right, we have to keep doing it to make her, hopefully, eventually, GO AWAY :-) Boy, I never, ever, have noticed or seen your bunions. You're so pretty all over. Period. Thank you for being such a sweetie to me from the moment I arrived at UA-cam. You really are a great lady.. I LOVE your vlogs, too. ~ Janis
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news”. Oh I know this is not what you mean but just look at it that way. Physical beauty is not what the world needs but it needs good news and caring people and love. Really enjoy your videos. Wish you posted more often. Listening to you is soothing.
I totally relate to this video. The makeup, the feet issue...I’m so glad you brought this up. The first man I ever loved told me I had guy toes because my toes are long. I wouldn’t wear sandals until about a year after we broke up. Now I wear them all the time and I keep my feet pedicured but still I look at them and think “guy toes” at times. The little things that people say to us...I pray that we would all remember the beautiful things people say to us instead of the bad.
I cannot think of a single reason to say something critical about someone's appearance. My ex-husband made such remarks, and I was so young that I internalized his petty meanness. When someone makes random negative comments it is a reflection of who they are, but it can take a lifetime to convince yourself of that.
Okay ladies long toes in Greece is consider elegant, and if you have a long toe that crosses over you are royalty. So beauty is a variable. Some of the most gorgeous people have the most awkward body parts separately but we come as a packageand that is the beauty and uniqueness. Think Sophialoren, Julia Robertson and many more. Ladies God knows what He puts together, it's awesomeness. As for any bunions, although genetic it's triggered by lifestyle, check our Fred Bisci and other nutritionists. Anyway, the point is your innerself and smile is the best part so top yourself off with the best smile. Check out the best on Face Yoga by Fumiko, they are wonderful.
Thank you for being beautiful you. I enjoyed your honesty. My husband has actually commented on how elegant your feet are in the past. You are a ray of sunshine. God Bless
What a lovely conversation you had with us today. You’ve definitely have the fashion thing down. As for the other things you share, it’s nice to hear another person’s opinion. Have a lovely day!
Hello! I haven't been on here in a while it's good to see you. I don't wear makeup anymore and I love it. My skin is clear now no break outs like before. You look lovely as always I like the purple on you and the little white jacket is adorbs. xoxo
Hi, L McCauley! It's so great to see you. Thank you for stopping by. I'm so happy for you that your skin is clear now. Hope you're having a sweet day :-) ~ Janis
You’re right, just being grateful that your feet are healthy and support you is what’s important. I have arthritis in my feet and they are constantly painful. 😏
This same thing happened to me in way. When I was in upper elementary school or junior high, my family started teasing me about my feet, saying I had "tall feet." I got really self conscious about it for most of my life. My dad kept it up for years. I am 5'4.5 and wear size 7.5 narrow. My feet are normal, yet I envy women my height who wear 6.5 or 7. Then there are my ears. My ears are undeniably big. I never knew this until I was in college and a friend oiff handedly said I had elf ears. She didn't mean any harm in her comment, but the scales fell from my eyes and I saw how big the were. I wouldn't wear my hair up for a while after that, but I somehow managed to stop caring. Yet I hate my shoe size. Funny isn't? I also had a huge bump in my nose, that looked boxy and started looking witchy as I got older, When I was in college I would drape my hair around my face to hide my profile. I felt almost sub human most of my life because of my nose. I had a serious inferiority complex. When I was 44, i got the bump removed. i look exactly the same from the front but have a "normal" profile now. I know this is rather sad, but i was not able to get over my complex and I knew I never would. Anyway, thanks for sharing your own story. It resonated with me.
Oh my goodness, when you were talking about your feet I was thinikng "I will trade you my feet for your figure!" I am so tired of negative thoughts like this that we have and so many of mine started as a child and teenager as well. You are gorgeous, keep up the wonderful videos!!!!
Longtime viewer here...First, you are so pretty with or without makeup. No one is perfect, and we are often too hard on ourselves. (In fact, you have inspired me to, occasionally, go makeup-free.) Second, thank you for sharing what you're learning. Very much enjoy hearing new information and perspectives. Finally, thank you for the work you put into your YT videos. I always look forward to them.
Hi Janis This video really hit home I started with acne at about 12 so I have always been extremely self conscious about my skin . I would never go out without makeup even to the grocery stores or errands .Last year I did start wearing no makeup when I'm home or doing errands and like you I felt like everyone was looking at me . I also wear a size 9 shoe . You look great . Have a wonderful week
Hi! So appreciate your comments regarding makeup. I'm 55 years old and this summer threw out all my makeup. I really like how I look without it. I just didn't see any reason to wear it anymore. It's so much easier to get ready for my day now 🤭 Your comments about your feet echo my experiences too. I'm 5'10" tall with a woman's size 13 shoe size (I wear a men's 11). Unlike you, I hated my feet as a child because they were so different from my friends and I also couldn't find cute shoes growing up. Now I'm only wearing running shoes. Life is simpler for me and I'm happier. Thanks for sharing your experiences 💖
I really liked your honesty here. Today I went out without my makeup except lipstick (much like you). I asked my daughter if I looked awful, she said I looked fine but, like you, I generally never like to see my bare face when out and about. You also mentioned feet too, I have horrible feet with bunions... so it was kind of cute to hear your thoughts on it all. Isn’t it odd how we all take to heart the horrible stuff people tell us but rarely believe the compliments? I think you look amazing by the way, I am 50 and was looking up natural makeup and happened upon your channel. You are very inspiring, thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you so very much for your honesty. We all need to be reminded that it is completely ok to not look perfect all the time. Thanks as well for taking us on your Whole Foods trip.. The tips are greatly appreciated.
Oh Janis! I wish you could see what I see. I’m short and over weight. You are everything I want to be. Not only tall, thin and gorgeous but classy, you have impeccable style and healthy. I struggle so bad with my food. I don’t know how to be healthy and classy. You truly inspire me to be better in so many ways. I love you and your channel. Hugs to you. Your feet are pretty and they suit you. As well as your makeup. Whether you go without or wearing your beautiful minimal makeup. You absolutely rock your style and should know you set a standard that I desire desperately. Please keep inspiring us. 💕💕🌸🌸
I enjoy your stories...we all have stuff to work on. My cousin told me, right after high school (I'm 71) that I had underdeveloped calves. She had been into dancing and thought she was body perfect, I had been a cheerleader which only developed my lungs, lol. Her comment always stuck with me. My mother said not to think about it but I have for years. No exercise has helped my calves. Now I don't care but I did when I was 18 yrs old...why do we care about what others think?
Becky jumps Yes, I know exactly what you mean when you say the comment your cousin made “stuck with” you. I remember when I was in my twenties I used to get people coming up to me in the street asking me if I was a model or that I should be a model but despite the outward appearance I was a mass of insecurities. There was a girl where I worked (who, incidentally was no oil painting and had rather a hunch back) who took it upon herself to advise me that “you have a high forehead, unfortunately “. I was terribly hurt and I’ve never forgotten her comment (actually I don’t have a particularly high forehead although it’s got higher with age). The thing is, when I look back on it I can see she was just suffering from green eyed monster syndrome as probably was your cousin.
You are beautiful with or without makeup. But, in my opinion, your real beauty is in your heart. You have such a kind way of interacting with us and I want you to know that it comes across so beautifully.
I live in the city and work out several times a week first thing in the morning. I shower when I get home and lately, I will only put on a little moisturizer and that's it. If I go out, I might put on a little lip color. When I was 13, a neighborhood boy called me ugly. Yes, I was going through a gawky period but what he said was terrible and left me feeling horrible about myself for a long time. It was my first lesson in how words can cut and we all have to be mindful of what we say to one another. You are a lovely woman and your inner beauty emanates in your physical beauty. Thanks again for another thoughtful vlog.
My mom has always worn minimal, almost no makeup. You know, lipstick as a blush too.;) Natural beauty and always gets compliments on her skin. And on her simple style. Less is always more in my books. Amazing how one passive aggressive comment from someone can stick with us forever.
I think you are stunning. I am 44 yo and recently a couple of young guys tried to come on to me and when I wouldn’t acknowledge them they called me an old lady. 10-15 years ago that would have killed me. But at 44 I cracked up laughing and walked away. I realise what people say is a matter of opinion. They may think I am old and someone else may think I am young someone else may think I am fat. basically, they are all opinions and none of them are true unless I believe them. They are maybe true in the eye of the beholder but my opinion is what matters in the end.
From personal experience, I find myself most critical about how I look when I don't spend time outdoors doing physical activities I enjoy such as gardening, walking, etc. Skipping exercise also brings me down and I get depressed sometimes. When I jump start my activities my disposition changes dramatically. Praying for me is also very cathartic. Yoga gives me balance both mentally and physically.
So brave. So honest. That's why love your videos. Thank you for sharing. It was great to see you as you, natural. What people usually notice is your energy, not the skin tone.etc. And your energy shines!
I have always thought you were one of the most beautiful women on you tube. That is because your skin glows without makeup. Last year II bought the Nourish Organics shea butter hoping I could get my skin to look like yours!
I loved this video. I think that a lot of women need to hear what you said. I’d much rather a woman realize she’s beautiful than than try to change the way she looks through invasive surgery and procedures. I love makeup but it would stop being fun if I felt like I was ugly or unpresentable without it. I don’t wear it most days but enjoy it when I do. I don’t colour my grey hair because of beautiful women like you who show us how chic and lovely we can still be. Thank you.
This was so interesting, I loved the longer length and natural nature of the whole video, very nice to see the inside of wholefoods, not many of them in the uk. You do look lovely with or with out make up, as you look healthy, which is the most important thing. We are all floundering around to some degree, it is good to hear normal people’s views on food and health, make up, clothes etc., because most people are trying to sell us something! Looking forward to your next vlog 🤗 wishing you good health and happiness.
Isn’t it sad how hard we are on ourselves? You and your feet are beautiful! 🌸Debbie (an anxiety ridden woman from West Texas who won’t leave the house without makeup - and the list goes on...). 😉
Oh, for goodness sakes, YESSS, Debbie. We ARE. I LOVE your adorable comment, you sweet anxiety-ridden West Texas gal. I so understand! Hugs from Florida ~ Janis
You are gorgeous with or without makeup. It really does make a difference how we feel inside. I do what makes me happy but usually that means I wear a little makeup when I leave the house. I remember when my daughter was about 4...she asked why I was painting my toenails because it was wintertime and in Toronto that means wearing socks. In other words we won’t be seeing toes for a while. I explained that I’ll be seeing them and the bright polish makes me smile. Thank you for your wonderful videos.❤️
Just found your videos. They are so refreshing. This one really made me smile; no make-up and feet. LOVE the topic as I could very much relate. You are beautiful with and without. Four years ago I moved from FL to Utah. There is obviously a difference in climate. It was nice to see the Naples Whole Foods. It brought back some memories. My brother is currently working there. He was a pro golfer for years but is working at Whole Foods at the moment. I think he loves it. It would have been funny to have seen him in the background. Anyway. Thank you for putting yourself out there and being your beautiful self.
I am so touched by you video. First, I want to tell you how beautiful you are, inside and out, and to let you know that I think your skin AND your feet are just fine and you don't need to ever do a thing. I commend you on being so honest. I have a birthmark on my lip since birth which makes me look like I have cold sores. Like you, I am no longer self conscious about it and, frankly, anyone that is bothered by it can just go on with their business! My toes have hammer toes now and I do not care who looks at them or what anyone says. My toes deserve sunshine and fresh air and that is that!! Thanks for this video!!!
Love this this type of vlog and your message was terrific about how we feel about ourselves and what people think. I used to like my feet until someone mentioned something about them. It hurt, but I moved past that and now I feel this is me this is who I am.
Janis, I look forward to your videos and learn something each time. You have inspired me to go grey. (I just started this process.) I started to cry when I listened to your feet story. I too have bunions - severe bunions. I remember as a child looking at my grandmother's feet and her telling me "your feet will look like this someday". They do. My bunions are so severe that my left big toe has pushed the next toe over on top of the middle toe. It is so difficult for me to find shoes. I never wear any type of shoe that exposes my toes. Thank you for being vulnerable with us, which allows us to open up and share. It is healing. Hugs from Chicago....Nancy
You look great Janis! We all would love to "fix" things we aren't happy with about ourselves! Forget it. Love yourself. Our health is very important. At least you are tall and thin!! Just be comfortable with yourself!! Your feet are fine and I love those sandals!!. I just keep my toes polished even in winter. At least you have great shoes, clothes, and a great life! Could you do a video on designer handbags you love? I noticed you have great taste in bags. Which brand is really worth the purchase in your opinion?? Bags and jewelry are my favorite things....Thanks for your videos. 💐
You look great without makeup, we all have things about ourselves we don't like. I remember loving my feet up until teenage and a girl I knew said she thought my feet were big and ugly and I have been self conscious of them ever since that day. Love your videos!
Loved this video & your purple sweater 💜 had a long talk with a friend today about accepting ourselves flaws and all. I'm 60 & she's in her mid forties. It was great to get her perspective. I feel better in my sixties than at any other age. I feel best with a bit of mascara & some lip color(one that doubles as blush) if needed. You're videos are always wonderful. I always pick up a new tip. One thing I'm working on is my diet so I'll look into the books you recommend. Thanks~you're beautiful💜
I absolutely love you and I think you are too hard on yourself...I love your style, your gorgeous without any makeup and I love to watch your videos bc you are so down to earth and sweet as sugar... Thank you for your done to earth honesty..it is so refreshing...I'm not on you tube as much as I once was but your one of my top five favs😍 Happy Year to you and your sweet Hubs💟
I wouldn't dare the leave the house without mascara, concealer, and lipstick for decades until menopause and hot flashes would melt it off. It's been around been 6 years since then and I only wear makeup once or twice a month. Well, I do wear lipstick when I leave the house, that's it. I have big feet, too! Right now their size doesn't bother me the way it did for years. At 62 I'm grateful for good health. I think you're a natural beauty and always elegant.
I can relate. I had a girlfriend tell me that my lips were wrinkly looking and I've felt bad about it ever since. I had noticed this about myself previously, tried not to dwell on it and also didn't wear lipsticks that emphasized it. It's taken the joy I used to have out of lipsticks.
All lips are wrinkly- that's how they're designed- so we can smile! If you enjoy wearing lipstick , you should keep wearing it. What sort of friend says that? Regain the joy ,slap on some lippy gain- and smile !😊
Well I'm a 36 year old man and I think you look very attractive without makeup and I think that those imperfections make you more attractive. Imperfections is something that happens with age so its natural and beautiful. So I agree with your husband, you don't need makeup, you look sexy without it. :)
Stratus Strong, you are so kind to say that. Thank you. And I agree with @Cynthia Marvin that whomever is your current or future girl, she's a lucky one! ~ Janis
Hello again I once told you about about myself being a car accident when i was 15 and I'm really can't walk all that good and i have a lot wrong with me but at first when I first had the accident it bother me but i realize this me and there's nothing I can do about it so i accepted it in other words life is to short to worry about what others think about you. beside it's what on the inside not outside of our self we all want people to admire us for out side but it isn't worth worry about it.
Thank you for this video as women we are so hard on ourselves we compare ourselves to those we see on magazine covers not realizing how much retouching or Cosmetic procedures were done on these ladies we needed to take a deep breath count our blessings and love ourselves the way God intended and just be your beautiful with or without make !
I had to laugh a bit at the locational differences and dress. I am a born & bred New Englander and a sweater & puffer vest are winter wear with the exception of most brutal days. At 63 we are breaking out the shorts & sandals with our uber white and it's a heat wave. Love your advice & sharing. Thanks
Such a great honest video. I wear no makeup at home or shopping, but cant bring myself to go work without makeup. I'm working my way up to it though by gradually wearing less and less. I NOW only wear mascara, minimal eyeshadow and makeup only on my cheeks.
Oh boy, did your comments of our self-perceptions hit home. I still feel the sting of a comment from my dad and some jeering from teenagers on the ski slopes...these incidents both occurred in my "tween" years and I'm now 59! I still struggle to do a no makeup day, even at home, but it feels so great. I still struggle with my weight, but have found a way of eating that makes my skin clear and keeps me healthy, so I'm good with that. I don't want to waste my time beating myself up!
I totally have the same feelings when I don't wear makeup. It's been like a protective mask for so many years. It truly feels odd without it. But, when I take it off at the end of the day (and I hardly wear any) I kind of enjoy seeing myself au natural. It's freedom, but takes confidence at the same time.
Several things, Janis. !- You ae lovely and loved by those of us who follow you. 2-Everybody's feet are funny looking. 3-Since I have gotten older I've learned that most people are so busy thinking about themselves that they don't pay much attention to what other people look like, are wearing, etc.
Hi Janis, I can totally relate to the no makeup thing. When younger I wouldn’t go anywhere without makeup, even to mail a letter. Family would say “your not going to a beauty pageant “ LOL. It changed when I had a baby. I wouldn’t have gotten anything done if I had to take time for makeup. Now that I’m older I still go without most days. After layering all my anti aging products on , makeup is just another unnecessary step.
I am 59 and up until a few years ago I wore makeup every single day. Now I only wear it if I’m going to an appointment or dinner, something like that. It’s kind of liberating not being so concerned about what people think anymore. I get it that I’m kind of invisible now that I’m older and early on it bothered me. Now I don’t care. I interact more with strangers than I ever did before. Guess I just don’t beat myself up as much as I used to. Thought I had to look perfect. Now I know it really doesn’t matter. There are some good things about aging.
I love your videos. I love the views of Naples Florida too. I used to visit a friend there and always loved it. I'm 70 and I've been losing weight through Weight Watchers for a year now. I've lost 55 pounds and am finally at my goal. Needless to say, I've been buying lots of new clothing and you are inspiring me. I want to say, that not all ankle boots look good, even if they fit. I have tried some on that fit my feet and still looked huge to me. Other styles, I can't say what the difference would be, but they don't look so big. So, my point is, it's not your feet, it's the style of the boot. So don't be so hard on yourself. You are amazing.
Mary, wow, congratulations. I'm sure you worked hard to get to your goal weight. I'm so happy for you. You are truly inspiring. You show if we set our minds to something and keep at it, even through the toughest times, we can succeed. How wonderful! And also how fun that you now have a great excuse to buy pretty, new clothes!! I appreciate your input about the ankle boots, because that was my instinct. I went on to find a pair that I think look flattering on my feet. I think you're right in that it has to do with the style of the boot. Thank you for your kind support. I appreciate it!! Hugs and you go, GIRL!! ~ Janis
But you are the best expert for yourself and it shows. Thank you for showing your face without makeup, you really don’t look much different but its your spirit that i see xxx
You always share great information. You have stunning bone structure . Your husband is absolutely correct that you are beautiful sans makeup...Not just from your outer beauty but your kindness. Stay well. X~Jess
Big hugs Janis...you look just as lovely with or without makeup...I, too, would not have been seen dead 20 years ago without my makeup on as I was so scared to be seen without it. I was a makeup artist on the weekends to Brides (specialty bride makeup). While I worked in the Corporate world during the week as a senior executive my outlet was makeup on weekends....I began NOT wearing make up as I did not want to compete with or be a distraction to my lovely brides....as I got used to being 'bare' faced, I continued no-make up Sunday's too and began to see my skin improve from the break....I still love makeup and still use it, dress up and look, I suppose, prettier when I do (in my eyes) but not in the eyes of others or my husband. I think color like lipstick, blush do give you a bit of health so we don't look so tired but all in all, we are who we are, with or without a camouflage...makeup can enhance, it can cover up, it can hide and it can camouflage but it cannot outshine who we are inside and that after all is what real beauty is, the light inside shining through....you have that light sweetie...you shine warmth, kindness, honesty, gentleness and beauty...Hugs
Honestly - you are beautiful, and have no need for make up. I have stopped wearing make up as well. The only make up I apply is lip stick, and occasionally mascara. Part of me attributes this to a confidence I’ve attained with maturity. I can’t hide my age. I have gained too many wrinkles and truthfully feel more foolish under make up 😀 just like I stopped coloring my hair, and like u, I am now a natural salt and pepper gray. I am who I am, and accept my imperfections. I love your Vlog, and thank u for sharing 😁
You are beautiful without makeup… little tip to look even better: do a color analysis and find your best colors. They would match perfectly with your skin and bring the color back in your face. I saw several videos of yours were you wear black and I thought to myself: black is definitely not her color… the color analysis was a game changer for me. I look and feel so much better in my best colors
Love the video because you put your vulnerabilities out there. Since I was a teen, I have been 5' 1" (ish), petite, 100-108 pounds. Attractive (and told beautiful and stunning). Until I was in my "40's" and had my "enlightenment" - two words repeated in my head about myself: Fat and Ugly. I have NO idea where this came from and it was like a subconscious belief - not even anything I was super aware of. One day when I was in my 40's and in my car, I looked at myself in the mirror, which I did constantly due to my insecurities, and the thought fat and ugly came into my head. THEN something magical happened - another voice said "you are not fat and you are not ugly." The voice was very matter of fact. It sort of took me by surprise. I believe it was the spirit of God speaking truth to me. It was at that moment when I became aware of the subconscious belief that I was fat and ugly. Every since then, when the thought came into my head, I knew it wasn't true and I stopped believing it!!!! Thanks for your videos!!
I'm 5'9" and wear a size 10 shoe and have since 10th grade. Last fall I was trying on lace up ankle boots and my husband was with me. I was mortified that I had to buy the 11! My husband brought me back to earth by reminding me that my feet had not grown , the shoes ran small. By the way, I love wearing my very comfortable boots.
I came back to leave one more comment of thanks to you. I have never really worn "make-up," meaning foundation. I do have sun damage, I'm 56 so my skin is not perfect at all, but every time I try some sort of foundation or BB cream or whatever, I just think it looks wrong. I do wear a little eye make-up, cheek, and lip, but that's it. After thinking about this video you made, I have decided that it's ok to just be me in my bare skin. I'll just keep on using my oils and butters and be satisfied with who God made me. Thanks again!
I suppose if we dissect any human body and look at any single part separate from the whole we all likely could identify an “ugly” part. You kinda made me chuckle because I’ve always thought you are very beautiful from head to toe with or without makeup 🙅♀️. Being made in the image and likeness of our Creator, the Master of Perfection, we are much better than fine. Love your honesty, Janis. Happy New Year 🥳
You are such delight dear Janis..loved that makeup free look and I need to start working on my transition...but with aging forward I seem to do better...and feet..oh I can relate..got bunions on mine...yours are hardly anything...You are beautiful woman there is a sense of calm about you...really enjoying your vlogs...thank you...big hug..Jana
My dad always told me that I was ugly. I believed and believe it all my life. My husband, friends and even strangers tell me that I am beautiful. On good days, I agree - but to overcome the influences of the parents is very difficult and the uncertainty for a lifetime is a burden.
Totally understand what you mean. My toes are crooked and not straight and my whole life I have been told I have jacked up toes. Even my husband says I have jacked up toes and does not like it when I wear sandals or any shoe that shoes my toes. I will be 58 in a week and still dealing with this.
I just said to her friend the other day I can't believe I spent a second thinking I was anything but beautiful and thin and an amazing in my twenties and thirties. And then you get older and you try to keep up with gray hair and a bit of a belly and stay fashionable looking, the change is inevitable. As long as I feel good I'm not as concerned if I look good, because I spent years in pain, and now that I don't have pain anymore, I have everything. Truly. If you can walk and your feet don't hurt, that's beautiful.
I needed to let comments go said about my knees (they are wicked), my nose(big, wide nose), and my weight gain all pointed out by my family❣️😳. Now that I’ve worked on my inner feelings they are still hurtful that family said them, I know my looks are just fine. My nose fits my face, my knees still work great at 69, my weight is just right, I changed how I eat. I get compliments frequently on my looks which is rather pleasing. My silver and dark hair is longish and straight like yours. I am happy and contented. I feel good. I’d be a wreck if what others say control my thoughts. You have a wonderful show and it’s very helpful and interesting. Your beautiful inside and out❣️🌷❤️🌷
Cynthia, I'm so sorry you had to experience your own family saying unkind things to you about your body. How inspiring that you have been able to overcome it and let it go, feel happy and contented, and have gratitude for your body. You're so right in that we'd all be a wreck if we let the mean things others may say influence our thoughts. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts, and I so appreciate your kind compliment about me and my channel. Hugs ~ Janis

Arthritic painful feet here as well, but I still love them ... bunions and all. : )
So do I😅
This same thing happened to me in way.
Thank you, I love your openness and braveness 🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕you’re inspiring🙏🏼
Love all of the information you cover, I feel you are a true role model, thank you Regina
You are very inspiring, thank you 🙏🏻
It's wonderful when we notice ways in which to incorporate more love and appreciation of our bodies! Lots of love from The Netherlands!
Great info in this video that inspired me to eat healthy!! You look great!! XO
I really liked this video. You don't ever have to worry about how you look with or without makeup. From your head to your toes you always look classy!
Love you ur such a calm and lovely women very beautiful 💕😊
Carla, thank you so much for your sweet comment :-) Hugs ~ Janis
Because we are surprised by those who should be kind to us and they are not. Remember to smile greatly, God does not make junk.
I am just shy of 48. You are absolutely gorgeous!! I just found your channel and I am loving it!
I love your channel so much. Thank you for being so open.
So true, stay empowered being you. Blessings
And we all concur with your assessment of feet & face- lovely! :) Much Love for the New Year & Beyond, M.~
Oh, my gosh, Jaana, what a beautiful thing to say. Thank you. :-) Hugs ~ Janis
I have always thought you were one of the most beautiful women on you tube. That is because your skin glows without makeup. Last year II bought the Nourish Organics shea butter hoping I could get my skin to look like yours!
Wonderful!! To be grateful for what we have and have a great sense of humor is so much more important than how large are feet are, good for you!!!
You are so honest and lovely.😘
Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability.... So enjoy your videos
Not sure how I found myself here being a gamer but all I have to say is that natural looks are way better I'm serious. Natural is the new beautiful 😉
Thank you.
I love your videos. So happy you are back.
A thank you for the encouragement!
You always look amazing and you are such a serene person.
I think you look beautiful, your grace and elegance is stunning and that is why I follow you. You are an inspiration to so many women. 😊
Stratus Strong are you married? Lucky woman 😉
@@CottageCupcake Divorced and single ;)
Stratus Strong, you are so kind to say that. Thank you. And I agree with @Cynthia Marvin that whomever is your current or future girl, she's a lucky one! ~ Janis
@@CottageCupcake I agree with you. :-) She's a lucky one, whomever she is!!
I think you look beautiful with or without make-up because that's your inner beauty we are looking on the outside.
Hi Janis! I love watching your videos. You always inspire me! Keep up the great work!!
Your husband sounds lovely.
He is, Verena :-) Thank you for noticing how kind he is. Hugs ~ Janis
That was interesting info on the Celtic salt I will buy some. Thank you.
Your purple sweater and white puffer vest look so pretty on you!💜
Several things, Janis.
Thank you for opening up about your insecurities. Very brave and honest. 👱🏻♀️🙏🏻✨
You are a very beautiful, classy, kind lady and I appreciate your videos.
Thanks for posting this video! You seem sort of sad in it, though. I hope everything is okay for you xx
You look beautiful just as you are. Thank you for sharing your heart and being you.
Thank you Janice, you have helped me so much! 👏🏻❤️🇦🇺
~ Janis
@@JLJBackToClassic Thank you for your kind reply. Yes, it is so nice to be able to wear normal sizes rather than plus.
But you are the best expert for yourself and it shows. Thank you for showing your face without makeup, you really don’t look much different but its your spirit that i see xxx
Your skin is absolutely beautiful. Oh how wish skin would look like that...healthy and glowing. Do you have a video of the skin products you use?
You are absolutely beautiful. I am 54 and hope that I am still doing as well as you are in a few years. Thank you for being you.
Thank you for the video) and the info about salts. I did not know about Celtic salt. Thanks...
I don’t see anything wrong with your feet!! Enjoyed your Vlog❤️❤️❤️
Another excellent video combining beauty, health and emotional wellness tips! Watch out....your humanity is showing🦶🏼!😉
Love the berry sweater color on you!
Candace, you have a wonderful husband! I believe he is right, too! 💕🌸
I will be 58 in a week and still dealing with this.
great topic... loved the OOTD!
I like your blog, and learn from it.Like you I try to eat healthy.I use himalayan salt but never tried celtic.x
Fabulous video and a fabulous lady. Thank you.
Really enjoyed this!
